    I see a few people talk about this being too small. I am GLAD that I have finally found something small enough for just my husband and I. I am the only one in my family that only cooks out of necessity. My siblings cook because they like to. This is a game changer for me and I love the simplicity of your recipes. I have had my Foodi for only 2 weeks and am enjoying it. Thank you!

    I actually prefer that the sauce wasn't "perfect" the first round, she got the chance to show us how to thicken the sauce. I think it's important to see how to troubleshoot

    Looks wonderful. I’ve made the ones in the little cookbook that came with my foodie and they were delicious. I can’t wait to try them with your sauce. The wings do shrink so much during pressure cooking that you can add a lot more wings. I used the basket so it was really easy. I love chicken wings! Be sure to read all the paperwork that came with your Foodie, it really does give lots of good information. I’m on my 2nd Foodie, my first one’s fan in the air fryer went out after only 6 weeks. With this one I got the extended 3 year warranty so it will probably be 👍. 😊

    Louise we bought a case of fish through a local fast food restaurant and would like to try cooking in the foodi air fryer. They are lightly breaded. And of course they are frozen. Wondering if you could help me to know how to cook it in the foodie so they make a good sandwich which is how the fast food restaurant uses them and we love them but don’t really want to deep fry them . Thank you.

    • @TheSaltedPepper
      @TheSaltedPepper  4 года назад +1

      I would AC on 400 with some spritz of oil from frozen so the breading gets crunchy and the fish doesn't overcook. The timing depends on the thickness, I would do 5 minutes on one side and then flip. Use the basket and be sure to preheat on broil for 10 minutes.

    HOW TO FRY ONION PETALS FROM FROZEN IS A VIDEO AVAILABLE AS I BUY THEM AT THE FOOD SERVICE STORE THICK CUT ONION RINGS ALSO AND JUST GOT A FOODI AND DONT KNOW WHAT SETTINGS TO USE.

    • @TheSaltedPepper
      @TheSaltedPepper  5 лет назад

      I haven't done onion petals or onion rings from frozen, but I would recommend preheating the Ninja Foodi on broil with the basket in the inner pot. Add the frozen onion petals or rings and AC on 400 until they are crispy like you like them. Flip them around a few times and keep an eye on them for timing.

    What should I do if I want to do alot of chicken wings for a party? How can I pressure cook them? Do I need to do batches and completely start over with the pressure cooking every time? It seems like it will take an enormous amount of time to continue getting the pressure cooker up to pressure. I dont mind doing the airfry in batches because that doesn't take that long.

    • @TheSaltedPepper
      @TheSaltedPepper  4 года назад +1

      You can PC them all at once, that won't cause any problems. The air frying might still need to be done in batches for the best crisp on the wings.

    If I don't want to PC the wings, how should I adjust the temperature and cook time?

    • @TheSaltedPepper
      @TheSaltedPepper  5 лет назад +1

      You certainly don't have to PC the wings first, the reason I do that is to get the chicken at least par cooked and it also loosens the skin from the meat which I think allows it to crisp up better. If you skip that step, I would cook them at the same temp, until they are done. The size and meatiness of your wings will determine how long that takes.

    At 2:52 you said that the 2 minutes will be more like 10 because it has to come to pressure. Does it usually take that long for it to come to pressure because I thought something was wrong with mine.

    • @TheSaltedPepper
      @TheSaltedPepper  5 лет назад

      It depends on what is in the pot. A full pot takes longer than just a cup of water. The average is 8 minutes, but mine has come to pressure in less than 5 and it has taken as long as 15 minutes.

    These look so awesome, I'm going to make them today! My husband, sadly, doesn't like orange in Asian recipes (what's wrong with him???) so I'm going to try adding maybe some soy sauce instead for the needed liquid. Would that work? I have enough wings that I'll make it again and with orange for me after making his. Can't wait!

    • @TheSaltedPepper
      @TheSaltedPepper  3 года назад

      I would be careful with the soy sauce, it can overpower something quick. Instead, I would just skip the orange juice. You end up reducing it down anyway. You could add a dash of soy and a dash or two of water.

    If you make several batches ahead for a group, how would you keep them warm or re-warm them?

      @TheSaltedPepper  5 лет назад

      Sue Luginbill I just ordered a rack that I’m hoping will allow me to make a double or triple batch, but I haven’t tested it out yet. What I would do is make all the wings that you want in the crisper basket, moving them around frequently. Then make the sauce and put the wings in the sauce just before serving. Hope that helps!
