Amazing recipe! Tweaked it a little and substituted rice wine vinegar with apple cider, and a different chili sauce and wow, wings came out incredible. Really love all your recipes!
I made these today. I did make some changes in the sauce. We like ours a bit hotter and more garlic. But the cooking directions were awesome. They came out crispy and so good!
I just got a 4 qt for christmas. I may have to upgrade the size. I have a teenage boy. Those wings will just be a snack for him. I will try this recipe. I'm glad I found your channel.
The 5 qt can be a little limiting, but it is the same diameter. The basket is smaller though. I hope you enjoy the wings. You can make more than I did.
I made this tonight. New to the ninja foodi. I actually didn’t use enough orange juice as it was super sticky. Almost better to cook it down like you did in the video. Even in my semi-fail, the recipe was really good and I would definitely try it again. Thank you so much!
We just got our Ninja Foodi in the 8 qt and I am going to try making Garlic Chicken Wings (I have my old rub that I will use) but will!! Have to make this one here next time. I have looked at some other video’s but your sight is very informative much more than some others. Thank you very much. David

Great recipe! I think I'll give it a go! Only addition I would make is air fry the wings once more after coating them in sauce for just a minute or two to carmelize the sauce on them. Enjoying your content. New subscriber.

Looks wonderful. I’ve made the ones in the little cookbook that came with my foodie and they were delicious. I can’t wait to try them with your sauce. The wings do shrink so much during pressure cooking that you can add a lot more wings. I used the basket so it was really easy. I love chicken wings! Be sure to read all the paperwork that came with your Foodie, it really does give lots of good information. I’m on my 2nd Foodie, my first one’s fan in the air fryer went out after only 6 weeks. With this one I got the extended 3 year warranty so it will probably be 👍. 😊
I really hope you give these a try, they are my absolute favorite wings! I'm amazed at how well that basket actually crisps things up! This was one of my first videos with the Ninja Foodi so I wasn't too familiar with the best way to do things.
The Salted Pepper Oh I will head to the store in the morning! Your wings look so delicious (as do all of your recipes)! I am going to subscribe to your channel, I just found you. I love the foodie so much that I bought one for my daughter and my daughter-in-law, both with the extra warranty! HaHa. I use it every day. I live in the desert so heating up my kitchen with the stove & oven is miserable, this is an easy way to cook that doesn’t heat up the house! Love your videos!!! ❤️

How many wings do you need to make at once? I was very new to the Foodi when I made this video and didn't utilize the basket like I should have. I would throw them in the basket and AC, just make sure to toss them around during the cooking time for even browning.
These are so delicious. Love the crispy skin. Also love how you put the sauce in the pot to make it a one-pot recipe. Definetely will be making them again :)
They look so good! Besides being a home bread baker, I also cook, and like Asian cooking. Prefer wings done Asian style over the conventional recipe. Thanks!
I can't wait to try this later this week. I think I will deglaze after your last step with a splash of bourbon to see if it works as a dipping sauce. I love Your Channel, every recipe I tried has been perfect. ps The Salted Pepper I apologize about my frustration about 2 months ago and was going to try my 1st recipe (it was about 35 min long and it didn't finish only stated for reference)) and I barked at You as I really was confused. I took it out on You. Again I am sorry. Since that time You have been fun to watch. Thank You.
I don't remember you barking at me, but I appreciate the apology! I'm glad you are enjoying the recipes, these wings are so good, I hope you love them!
Louise we bought a case of fish through a local fast food restaurant and would like to try cooking in the foodi air fryer. They are lightly breaded. And of course they are frozen. Wondering if you could help me to know how to cook it in the foodie so they make a good sandwich which is how the fast food restaurant uses them and we love them but don’t really want to deep fry them . Thank you.
I would AC on 400 with some spritz of oil from frozen so the breading gets crunchy and the fish doesn't overcook. The timing depends on the thickness, I would do 5 minutes on one side and then flip. Use the basket and be sure to preheat on broil for 10 minutes.
HOW TO FRY ONION PETALS FROM FROZEN IS A VIDEO AVAILABLE AS I BUY THEM AT THE FOOD SERVICE STORE THICK CUT ONION RINGS ALSO AND JUST GOT A FOODI AND DONT KNOW WHAT SETTINGS TO USE.
I haven't done onion petals or onion rings from frozen, but I would recommend preheating the Ninja Foodi on broil with the basket in the inner pot. Add the frozen onion petals or rings and AC on 400 until they are crispy like you like them. Flip them around a few times and keep an eye on them for timing.
What should I do if I want to do alot of chicken wings for a party? How can I pressure cook them? Do I need to do batches and completely start over with the pressure cooking every time? It seems like it will take an enormous amount of time to continue getting the pressure cooker up to pressure. I dont mind doing the airfry in batches because that doesn't take that long.
You certainly don't have to PC the wings first, the reason I do that is to get the chicken at least par cooked and it also loosens the skin from the meat which I think allows it to crisp up better. If you skip that step, I would cook them at the same temp, until they are done. The size and meatiness of your wings will determine how long that takes.
@@TheSaltedPepper thanks so much for your reply! I can't wait to try your recipe or method. I am going to modify it because my young kids don't eat spicy. I will replace the rice vinegar with lemon juice because I don't have rice vinegar 😋 I LOVE all your recipes and great videos!
I've just got hold of my Foodi. I do love that you own up for the sight mistakes you make in your vids ie 'a little to much orange', it gives a layman cooks like me to say "hey some of these experts do have hiccups whilst cooking" 🙂
@@TheSaltedPepper that is true, but some would start from scratch, start over until it's perfect and show that video instead. But not in yours, which I like 😁
At 2:52 you said that the 2 minutes will be more like 10 because it has to come to pressure. Does it usually take that long for it to come to pressure because I thought something was wrong with mine.
It depends on what is in the pot. A full pot takes longer than just a cup of water. The average is 8 minutes, but mine has come to pressure in less than 5 and it has taken as long as 15 minutes.
Does the air fryer lid come off? I don't have a lot of room without upper cabinets in the way. Thanks for the video, thinking of buying one of these. Never mind about lid, watched your unboxing video which answered my question. Great videos and useful information.
Using the microplan the wrong way hold the lemon or whatever your using and run the plan across the top so you don't hit the rind and you can see how much your removing. Thank you😊
I have an instant pot and an air fryer. Had them both before I had heard of the foodie. I would love the foodie, but what do I do with the other machines?
These look so awesome, I'm going to make them today! My husband, sadly, doesn't like orange in Asian recipes (what's wrong with him???) so I'm going to try adding maybe some soy sauce instead for the needed liquid. Would that work? I have enough wings that I'll make it again and with orange for me after making his. Can't wait!
I would be careful with the soy sauce, it can overpower something quick. Instead, I would just skip the orange juice. You end up reducing it down anyway. You could add a dash of soy and a dash or two of water.
Also Thank You for the hint about immediately putting the non stick pot and wire rack in soapy water. It worked like a charm! By the time we ate, cleanup was so easy and there were nothing but compliments all around! Smile. 👍👍

Sue Luginbill I just ordered a rack that I’m hoping will allow me to make a double or triple batch, but I haven’t tested it out yet. What I would do is make all the wings that you want in the crisper basket, moving them around frequently. Then make the sauce and put the wings in the sauce just before serving. Hope that helps!
You sold me on the Ninja...I just purchased the 6,5 Ninja and Air Fryer and the 5-1 Ninja Grill and Air Fryer...I have been viewing your videos, you are very informative, Thanks P.S. How do you keep up with cleaning the grease created by Air Fry mode?

I have an instant pot and an air fryer. Had them both before I had heard of the foodie. I would love the foodie, but what do I do with the other machines?
I kept my IP, but I don't use it.
Sale them on Facebook marketplace
These are the best wings I have ever tasted!!! So darn good!!!! Thank you
These look so awesome, I'm going to make them today!
Smile. 👍👍
Yay!

Good afternoon Louise. Hey a question, where did u get the cutting board plz? Have a great day and weekend. And thanks for all ur videos. You're the bomb lady!!!
The one I used in this video is from Pampered Chef, here is my affiliate link if you want to take a look: www.pamperedchef.com/pws/thesaltedpepper/shop/Cutlery/Cutting+Boards/Wood+Cutting+Board/1591
Ok thanks. 😊
I really like it. $73. I’m going to get it. 😘
If you make several batches ahead for a group, how would you keep them warm or re-warm them?
Sue Luginbill I just ordered a rack that I’m hoping will allow me to make a double or triple batch, but I haven’t tested it out yet. What I would do is make all the wings that you want in the crisper basket, moving them around frequently. Then make the sauce and put the wings in the sauce just before serving. Hope that helps!
What tongues do you use??? Love the way you explain everything!!
Thank you! I use the tongs from Pampered Chef the most: www.pamperedchef.com/pws/thesaltedpepper/shop/Kitchen+Tools/Utensils/Large+Chef%27s+Tongs/2955
If I wanted to do this with frozen wings, how long would I PC them? Thank you!!
The same time should be just fine!
That’s awesome thanks for sharing 😁
This is my favorite!
I deep clean with a toothbrush that is a small electric one for kids and I wipe the grate down after cooking.
