This has to be the dopest video of all time
Real good info,,,,💯💯💯💯
Love it.....
I love it
Good stuff Lance, keep it coming!
I was born in 66 and the first new car my Dad bought that I remember was a 1975 Impala Custom Coupe new off the lot at Don Mealy Chevrolet on W. Colonial Dr. in Pine Hills west of Orlando. It was a great car in medium blue with a white paint steel roof. It never failed, always ran strong. Good documentary.
Thanks for sharing that. The 1975 Caprice and Impala bring back alot of good memories for so many people. Great cars from a great time in America. When we were truly proud Americans.
Very nice job on the editing. I was informed and entertained. I'm over in Naples. Maybe I could say hi someday.
Thanks were working on the next Documentary.
My uncle had a bad ASS 75 caprice classic 2dr had all options except tilt steering wheel 350 2v carburetor loaded grew up around Donks when i was little timeless classic
73 has the best looking front and rear end. The back window and swept trunk lid is amazing
Idk I love the 73’ my brother got a 75
Salute babe my first car was a 73 4 door caprice with the drive by windows and a 400 engine I was 18 1996! A.T.L.! Zone 6 stand up big LeVar!
Nice documentary on the chevy caprice
We need longer videos
The robotic dude is funny as shit 😂
The Bel-Air and Biscayne were not offered in the U.S. after 1972. They were Canada only cars from 1973-1981.
How did you find that information? We spent hours doing research on the 1975. I found some information that stated the belair was used for public service vehicles in 71-75. Like taxi's and police vehicles. Im always looking for information and stats on these cars for future vehicles. Thank for your info.
@@KandyonChrome Correct, I mixed that up a little bit- The BISCAYNE was only available til 1972 in the U.S., The Bel-Air was offered in the U.S. til 1975, but as a 4dr sedan only (for municipal service, taxi, police, etc.).
The Bel-Air was used in Canada til 1981, and was available as a sport coupe (like the Impala), 4dr sedan, or 4dr wagon from 1971-1981.
@@Ryan-cx2tg My friends parents had a 75 bel air wagon in very dark brown. I am certain. So I guess only 4 door sedans and wagons were made . All Bel Airs were discontinued for 76.
My next door neighbor had a 73 Bel Air 3 seat wagon in reddish maroon. I was very close with their daughter so when our 76 caprice estate wasn't available. We would use their BelAir and I would drive it. GREAT CAR.. ours just looked a little nicer.
@@kevinlynch1227 Perhaps the wagon was Canadian..?
@@Ryan-cx2tg The Biscayne, was discontinued in 1972, (U.S), the Bel Air, 1975, (U.S).
The narrator was straight gangster💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾🤣🤣
Well done.
RIP Vedo and shout out to all of my Floridians🫡 we love all caprices and impala especially Donks and boxes my personal favorite donks are 75 & 73 convertible. My favorite box is the 80’s coupe & 4 door brougham
I had a 1975 Classic, 4 door hard top! (back in 1981) Beautiful cars! I LOVED it! All I did was put in a sun-roof and killer wheels and tires!
Peace
Dope
I love this
305 I love my city
I hear ya overtown stand up 🌴!
73 and 76 is my favorite I want too own
Well done! I can watch documentaries like this all day!
Staytuned we are working on a 1974 episode next will do all the years ending 1971
The 74 to 76 impala/caprice have very tough fully boxed frames and excellent bumpers, the wagons were leaf sprung. Many of these sedans and wagons have gone the way of the demolition derby. The 350 is a work horse.
75 been my favorite on god. Good doc🏁💯💪🏿
Love the doc...however, my all time favorite was my 78 caprice aerocoupe box chevy....dollar bill green with cream interior, matching body color buttons and piping, cream vinyl top. Loved my 91 and my 92 with skirts and vogues. Now got the 2012 with satin pearl white base coat flattened clear coat
Thanks for sharing... The aerocoupe caprice is real special too. Not many of them around these days.
73 75 all day
Good Shit..! 💯✊🏼
Shid now yall need to do one on the 73 caprice. Was and is top of the line mane!!!
What do you think made the 73 top of the line?
I had a '73 454 ragtop. Wouldn't spin the tires, but would go 120 mph all day long.
If I floored it, could watch the gas gauge go down..... I miss it
They are all great, but I too love the 73s best....
Brother got the 73 big bro got the 75vert, CLEAN!!! cant neva have to much Donks in the family when you from dade
71,73,75 my favorites verts
16 people are haters! I can't understand who'd dislike this video. It's informative and well done. Thank you. I love all classic GM cars.
💯😂 I love the narrators gangsta
Great video. I absolutely love it!!! Three thumbs up!!!
Guess what, I have a DONK!! But I never heard it called that before??
It is in mint condition...only comes out on nice days and is my pride and joy!!! I learned to drive on it when I was 17 and it was only 1 year old. I drove it to college for 4 years every day and never put a scratch on it. I drove it more than anyone in our family. I keep it in my garage in St. Augustine.
It is a 1976 Caprice Estate Wagon. Loaded and has the third row forward facing seat, and the clamshell tailgate that is fully electric.
It is maroon with wood paneling and has red interior. It only has the 400, not the 454. All original except they was a little rust by the spare tire compartment that had been fixed, and a small dent in the door that was repaired years ago. It has the rectangular headlights, and is all original including the hubcaps.
THANKS AGAIN BRO!!
Thanks for your positive words. You have a great car the 76 estate wagons are really nice. Glad to see you appreciate the Donks. Its great you keep it in pristine shape. Those wagons are really difficult to find too. Thanks for sharing
@@KandyonChrome Hi Bud! Thank you for your nice response. I have always loved this car and always took really good care of it. It has always been waxed heavily with the old-fashioned Simoniz wax with carnauba and garage kept. When waxing the car, I always did every square inch from the rubber bumpers strips to the windshield wipers, to every notch in the front grill.. to the roof rack and even inside the gas tank door.
I have some friends online, and in person that have different clamshell "Donk" Wagons, Sedans and Coupes. Stay Cool and have a really nice summer Man!!
PS Did you ever hear of a product called Aerospace 303 UV protectant sealer and waterproofer... it comes in the fabric type and it also comes in the plastic, vinyl, and leather version. This is an expensive but unbelievably excellent product. My interior is like brand new. I even use that on the exterior vinyl wood paneling. It's actually used on spaceships to protect against UV and also many people use it for their boats. I buy the marine version with the picture of the boat on it. TY.
You have a nice car man I would love to be able to see it 🔥🔥
@@drip_17 Thanks Brother.
I'd show you pics but I don't think it's possible to post them here?
My 73 Caprice 454 convertible just sold and is on its way to South Florida..
Thats a real Gem hope see it one day too.
Sem-5 Gang!!
Love those classic Chevrolet's my dad had one 1972 white with red interior he bought new he paid around 5200 dollars for his
you can always use driver side seat rail and put it on passenger side, use the same wiring ,run it through door jam and you have power passenger seat ,I did that on 95 caprice!
they are beautiful cars 74-76
I love my 75 the big dog of the caprices
that computer voice goes so hard
It's the first cussing one I heard! 😂😂😂
Imagine if chevy bought back the impala and caprice for a 2020 model
Needs to be RWD to go against the charger and 300
The 2020's wouldn't get the same respect as the 70's models. The old chevy's are sought after more & just have that nostalgia about them.
The closest thing you can get to it is a 2014-2017 chevy SS. Or a 09-17 PPV
Yeah a Impala SS. But RWD of course with a v8. Nobody wants a muscle car classic in FWD form LOL. I didn’t like the fact that they kept the car stringing along all that time after ‘96. Either retire the name or do right by it. They screwed up a few other classics like that, the Nova and Malibu for sure
Nice video
Although they have always had Caprices.1973 is the first year of the Caprice Classic.🗞️
💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Just to let it be known what time it is.... alot of people don't know . Kandy on Chrome put down G.A.M.E straight up without having to be connected to the street life.
I had the 76 Caprice Landau the interior was plush but it had a lot of rust man that car ran like a boat. Got me a sweet black 88 Caprice Brougham now though 👌🏽 🔥🔥
Will yall do one on the '73?
Staytuned we are working on a 1974 episode next will do all the years ending 1971
What do you think separated the 73 from the others?
@@leroygenovacolbert2651 Well, the 73s were that last year for the traditional 2dr styling, 74 introduced that hideous "opera window"....That styling group should have been fired. Yes, the impala still had a traditional 2dr sport coupe for a few years after.
@@fleetwin1 but if you get a 74 or 75 drop top you dont have to worry about hideous windows that's why I asked what separates the 73 from the 71,72 and 74. Now I know the 75 changed its grill
75 vert is the hardest Donk to me
I need that 71 and 73 bio my g
I agree 73 for life
@@helpinghandsroadside why is 73 your favorite year?
Can someone explain tot me why my vin number plate says body produced in Antwerp on my 75 impala deluxe version? Greeting from Belgium, Antwerp
I would like to have a 1976 Chevy Caprice classic hardtop with a power sunroof loaded with A454 Big block that is what I would likePlease comment back
Great show ! What are your opinions on the downsized 1977 to 1996 full-sized GM B bodies . I remember these donks back in the day my dad had a donk Oldsmobile and now today i own a 81 full-sized Oldsmobile 88 .
We need more of these 🔥🔥good content
I have a 75 vert white on white with the factory 454 and 100% complete just rotting in my back yard. It's sad......
Gotta bring it back to life.
@@danmarley2926
Hopefully I will one day. I still try and drive it once a month just to keep it moving
Thats the ultimate 1975. Those cars are going to really go up in price in the years to come.
75 was my old favorite but now it’s 71,75/76,73…I say 75/76 because google and just the internet period is giving me 2 different front end designs between impala and caprice for 75. Did the impala not get that front until 76?
(Video answered my question right after posting comment)
I'm in a 72 impala and a 74 caprice both hardtops didn't want wat everyone else have✊🏿🕵👀😷😂 #DonkLivesMatter
Deuce Gang! Respect to 74s 😎💯🏝
I don't recall ever seeing a 75 Impala... always caprice.
And I don't recall seeing a 76 donk either... I guess 74 and 76 the least sought after ones.
KingpinSkinnyman the 76s have the Square-Rectangular headlights instead of the round ones like on the 75’s I’ve always liked those two years only thing 76 didn’t have a vert models smh
I want a donk wagon cause I love sound systems
Always want to see someone go all in on a wagon. I think there is alot of potential in a wagon. That extra interior room can be really done up in alot of diffetent ways.
🔥🔥🔥👍🏽
4 DOOR MAFIA
Well Done! New Sub Here!
My 1975 Caprice Classic Convertible is fully loaded with the factory 400 in it. Plus, Cruise Control and The "Rare" Econominder Fuel Gage Package in it. So, I guess I fall in that 10% mentioned in this video. 🤑
You got a rare piece of Chevrolet History. Hold on to that Gem.
@@KandyonChrome Thanks ✊ And Thank You for all that you contribute to the Old School Game. Keep Up The Good Work.
No disrespect, I love our style out here in the West Coast is a traditional lowrider back in the day as far I can remember with hydraulics n astro supreme wheels, true spokes ,tru ray and Daytons and Zenith and low to the Ground or shottin out sparks in the Boulevard .
I agree with you that west coast Always builds are immaculate and perfect. Just glad to see we got the chance to show the world our style. I dont compare the two syles. I just dig both of them. Much Respect from the East Coast.

😂Ohhh lord help me I thought you had a hat on your head 😂😂😂I’m sorry 😂😂😂
Hey I know you the man to ask about this. I'm looking for some parts belt line trime for 75 chevy caprice convertible and front finder's trim if you or point me in the right direction thanks if you can or not because im in Chicago and there are soooo many Hatters here
What is the opinion on the Ford LTD of the same period?
Y'all skipped a lot of years...... Rest easy Murff🕊️
Can you do this for the 76?
OG
😍!
said it on IG change the title to "DONKumentary" homie
It's all about 71 72 73
Staytuned we are making a seprate video for all of those.
To me it's all about putting the '76 front clip on a '75 convertible. That's the ultimate to me. I much prefer the square headlights of a 1976, they just didn't make a convertible in 1976.
I also love the 75-76 wagons.
Btw the narration is HILARIOUS.
No disrespect but that 64 Impala was so fire 🔥
How about a 64 Biscayne with 283 and 3 on the tree?
Fuckin Right!
Ruining these classics by adding huge wheels & messing with the suspensions etc....
My dad had a 74 Caprice 2 door hardtop in maroon.
I learned how to drive in that car.
Mom called it "the tank" but no dorkey name like donk.
Sorry I loved them original as they were.
This video is worth watching for the historical reference of Chevrolet Impalas of this era and the true meaning of "Donk", not just Big Rims custom cars in general.
Vido No Shake is like a professor🔥 a feat from the East Coast Ryders era to the present day!
No disrespect to Florida but Chicago niccas been riding donks since forever as well,it’s a lot of OG’s that’s dead & in the feds they had some of the cleanest donks you’d ever want to see I remember being a kid growing up on the south side of Chicago watching the OG’s ride em on 30’s & Vogues ect,the car game always been popping in the Midwest you had to have been there from a G-20 Chevy van to a G body Malibu we’ve rode em ask any nicca from the Midwest & they’d tell ya also don’t sleep on Naptown,Detroit, or Milwaukee Wisconsin they been doing it just as long,I salute Florida they have some nice donks in my opinion the 71& 73 is the hardest donks my opinion no hate just my opinion,I think Trick Daddy just gave Florida National coverage.💯👁✊🏾
Not really. You can ride in a convertible year round in Florida, can't do that in cold ass states in the Midwest. Plus most of those cars been rusted out in the Midwest.
I prefer the look of the 1976 with the square headlights. Otherwise the same as a 75.
75
Let 'em know on 15th, back in the late 80's, it been about donks. We ain't just started in 2000's.
Yes impalas came and gone in 80s and late 90s and then on going now both of them
That red original convertible is the stuff dreams are made of for sure. If I could have any car, it would be my 73 Caprice coupe in showroom condition, perhaps in convertible form. They ruined the coupes in 74 with that hideous "opera window", sure hope that stylist was fired. My 73 had 245,000 miles on it with the original engine and tranny, such a shame the northeast rust ruined it finally. These cars are what GM did best....
I find these people have a special luv for these car thats different than any other type of car. The enthusiasm runs deep for the appreciation for these special chevys. Thanks for sharing.
@@KandyonChrome You are so right...These cars did so many things right, except for fuel mileage. I would love to have one again, but live in the northeast with no garage....
Lmfao "cheap ass bel air"
😂😂😂😂😂
Hey back then probably couldn't afford the impala/caprice
Alot of ppl thought they had a donk but don't
I think I'll take that cheap-ass Bel Air if I can find one. I'm cheap, and I'm a fan of keeping everything stock. A Bel Air 2-door or 4-door will be fine with me!

LOL,coulda left that cheesy computer voiced narration off and made a true documentary
