It doesn’t do justice at all to what the bazurgh in the video is trying to explain. He’s speaking of a gradual movement of ideas that did flow in a particular direction once upon a time in history - most proximately to Waziristan (in current day Pakistan) from the western front of Afghanistan. There is an actual history to why ideas travelled this way and from where and when. Consider Imam Ghazali’s reformative ideas that evolved in Damascus, but which he carried back to what is present day Iraq/Iran, from where students traveled further with those ideas. Most likely into Central Asia, then Afghanistan, then United India, which was then partitioned into India and Pakistan. But people here are misinterpreting this left and right as a battle for ethnic superiority, which is unfortunate and probably not what you intended through this series. Please either present longer pieces or balance them with multiple historical perspectives as is good practice for documentary work worldwide. To anyone else here about to go wild over my reference to ethnic superiority, for full disclosure I am 3rd generation Lahori by descent, not by birth, but reside in Lahore and am not ethnically Punjabi and have always felt the need to travel towards the northwest of Pakistan to understand some pressing matters in my mind and heart for various reasons. It should be OK for Pakistanis, Muslims and humans in general to want to know each other, to love, care for, and come to respect each other. It is the way of human history.
