When considering efforts to facilitate conversations and promote teaching and learning in school communities emphasizing social identity awareness, anti-racist education, and civic engagement, it's essential to articulate intentional and measurable learning outcomes. What does it mean for children and youth to engage socially and intellectually with others in a community of learners on race, racism, gender identity, etc.? How might school leaders, teachers, and staff effectively respond to challenges and opportunities at the individual and structural level while maintaining foresight of espoused values and teaching objectives? This workshop offers evidence-based practices for teaching social justice education and measuring impact.
