- This is the first leg of our Epic Train Ride - Going from New Orleans to Chicago on the Amtrak train " City of New Orleans" .
Next leg of the journey goes from Chicago to Seattle on the Amtak train "Empire Builder" @dirtfootracing8788
I was your engineer Carbondale to Chicago. Always refreshing to watch a video and remind myself why we strive for a safe and smooth ride. Enjoy the rest of your trip!
We just arrived in Seattle on the Empire Builder
very nice train ride peace out
a little sip of jack in your sleeper , you can't get anymore relaxed than that 🙂
Enjoying your train videos. Well done!
Ah, woman that can belch like that, she's a keeper!!
I agree she is a keeper
Great to see thank you thumbs up and shared. 😊 👍
Family dropped us off
So, we'll be working backwards, through the Steve Goodman song about "The City of New Orleans."
where did y'all park your car?
Thanks for showing this. I'm heading down to NO from St. Paul. I'll just be coach from MSP to CHI, as it'll be during the day. From CHI to NO, I'll have a Roomette. I'm 6'3" and I hope that it's enough room on the bed. Radar Omega? I use Radarscope for storm chasing. I'm heading down to hopefully see the Eagles at the Smoothie King Ctr.
Will be a bit tight in the Roomette
@dirtfootracing8788 Thanks. According to Amtrak, the beds are 6'6" and 3.5 ft wide. It'll be my first Amtrak experience.
You watch Noel too.
Sure do 😀
What was your favorite meal on this train? How many hours of uninterrupted sleep did you get on this train.
We only had one dinner on that leg of the trip since it was a overnite trip...The food was all right ...its more like airline food bit I ate all of mine. Sleep....well since it was the first time sleeping on a moving train it was challenging for my wife, I did better. After three more sections of our trip it got easier.
dont think ive ever been in there before.
I was watching up until the Bud Light comment but I'm moving on.
Bless your heart.
That would be "loo," not "lou."
