    Hi Buddyboss team! I have a question: Do you know if I can use wordpress to create a website like Patreon? I want to make a social network with Buddyboss. My idea is that each user can create, manage and sell their own memberships / subscriptions in their front end profile. Is there a way to do it? I have seen that there are a lot of plugins like memberpress or paid memberships pro, etc. Unfortunately, I think these only allow an administrator to manage the memberships and that is not what I am looking for. Well, if you can help me with this I will appreciate it a lot! Thank you :)

    Now that MemberPress has its own course creation plugin, there shouldn't be a need to use LearnDash, and BB should support that integration.

    Are you able to do like an umbrella group/corporate group/ where they can pick a package, and select the number of members that they want? And then can they upgrade that at any time? Also..can you sell items to members only and depending on their membership level, the item has a specific price? I'm talking digital items.

    • @BuddybossWP
      @BuddybossWP  2 года назад

      Using BuddyBoss Platform and LearnDash, users need to register/sign in to your website in order to subscribe to any of your membership level/tier.
      As for your question though, this is inclined towards the functionality, options, and settings of the MemberPress plugin itself. We do suggest getting in touch with MemberPress for more information about their plugin functions as they are the most suitable to assist you with the said product.

    For a site that already has WooCommerce, which would work better with BuddyBoss: MemberPress, or WooCommerce Memberships? (We will also be adding The Events Calendar Pro, and will need our membership plugin to play nice with it too, when it comes to allowing event booking access to members based on their tiers.)

    • @BuddybossWP
      @BuddybossWP  4 года назад +1

      If you want to use WooCommerce for your user account area, and for managing all purchases and orders, payment integration etc - you might want to use WooCommerce Memberships. Then all your order stuff is centralized in one place. If you don't care about that, then you can go either way.

    I have BuddyBoss. It's a new site. I absolutely LOVE it so far. In this video and in others, you have said, "you may want to install the BuddyPress integration plugin." Why? You said, "you may want to." I'm trying to figure out which path to take. I want to charge for membership access to my community, and then have an affiliate program for the members. If I use MemberPress, why would I "may want to" install the BuddyPress integration? Is it a styling issue? Can my site look the same as my BuddyBoss site if I "may not want to" install the BuddyPress integration? If I go cheap and use the free version of Paid Memberships Pro and the Affiliate Manager plugin, do I need this BuddyPress integration in order for it to work? I'm a bit confused. :/

    • @BuddybossWP
      @BuddybossWP  4 года назад +1

      The BuddyPress Integration plugin is a plugin built by MemberPress, it just adds a few minor feature which you can see outlined here - memberpress.helpscoutdocs.com/article/92-buddypress . You "may" want to add this plugin if you need the features shown on that page. Everything else will work as expected without it, in terms of charging customers and styling etc.
