    Zlements have been trying to explain this new system on their Facebook page for days, without mentioning the KH manager, and people have been a bit confused by the whole thing. It almost seemed like just a rebranding.
    This video makes it all make sense now and basically it seems like the new program has been designed around working with the KH manager :)

    I’m yet to find a KH management system that gives me confidence.
    I tried the PH probe of Reef Factory and the GHL KH Director and both are underwhelming and unreliable and have significant design flaws.
    I also tried the D&D doser which they say is ‘consumer ready’ but I couldn’t get it to work on an iPhone as I had to operate it via a clunky Kamoer app.
    One thing that frustrates me in this hobby is all these companies that put out mediocre kit.

    Does the kh manager only work with the p4 pro doser? I'm pretty sure I've read that it's only compatible with that doser but can't put my finger on where I seen this comment.

      @ReefDork I was just wondering if it was compatible with other dosers or is it exclusively compatible with the one in the video which is the p4 pro. Cheers

    Great video, this method looks like something I may try I’ve always used redsea abc powders and trace. My question would be (difficult to answer but there must be a ball park figure) kh manager aside would this be a pricey method?

      The dosing liquids aren't cheap but I don't think they're expensive. I currently run just the pH Plus stuff

    Ok i get the idea, but pH will try to go down when lights are out and obviously kh manager will dose more of the stuff to keep it pegged wich means alk will go up.... this is the same as Meckleys method which i cant see how can you keep alk stable?

    • @ReefDork
      @ReefDork  4 месяца назад

      I think it only doses alkalinity when the tank needs alkalinity so it won't increase the alkalinity just because pH is low, it'll just dose the high pH alkalinity part overnight

      I have been using RZ for 4 years and I have only ever had to add a bump up dose of magnesium once in that whole time, and that wasn't because it was particularly low (1303.74) just a tweak. I have just checked my ICP results going back to 2021 to verify. In the past year and a half the lowest it has got is 1355.59 with no additional dosing. How much are you having to add and how often? And out of curiosity is this based on home test kit results?
