Growing up with a grandma who would cry every time she heard taps whether in real life or even on TV, it does have very much the same affect doesn't it? For us, Lester calling the littles to the fire to meet a deceased baby at the bridge is our version of taps. It's bittersweet. 💙
I am so sorry to read this. You tried so hard to save him and give him a best life as a goat. I believe he taught you even more and deepened your hearts. Sissy knew as they always seem to know. I know how hard it is for cremation, and agree with you. I have to do this for a newly adopted dog, hate it because I love(d) him after only adopting him 2 weeks ago. Minnesota here and my ground is way too frozen, even though we did not have our "normal" winter. Thank your for your love and respect to those you have had to say goodbye to when you did not want that outcome.
Little Abbot was sent by God i think because He knew you and Jami needed some snuggles time to help your heart's and souls recover from the accident - he was sent to be your "God with fur" to warm your hearts and heal some of the pain and anxiety. He certainly never knew he was separated from his fur-mama and was loved more in those three days than many animals receive in their whole lives! In that one video where Jami is snuggling him and he has his little lip curled up it shows just how happy he was cuz that's what goats do with their lips when they are happy and relaxed! Thank you both for all the love you share!!

Every time you call the Littles after one of the babies pass, it gets me. I know Abbott is with all of them & Momma Meg has him as one of her babes. Journey, Huck, Betty, Pebbles, BamBam and all the others will show him how to be a goat. He was the most loved little boy in such a short time.

Growing up with a grandma who would cry every time she heard taps whether in real life or even on TV, it does have very much the same affect doesn't it? For us, Lester calling the littles to the fire to meet a deceased baby at the bridge is our version of taps. It's bittersweet. 💙
I am so sorry to read this. You tried so hard to save him and give him a best life as a goat. I believe he taught you even more and deepened your hearts. Sissy knew as they always seem to know. I know how hard it is for cremation, and agree with you. I have to do this for a newly adopted dog, hate it because I love(d) him after only adopting him 2 weeks ago. Minnesota here and my ground is way too frozen, even though we did not have our "normal" winter. Thank your for your love and respect to those you have had to say goodbye to when you did not want that outcome.
Little Abbot was sent by God i think because He knew you and Jami needed some snuggles time to help your heart's and souls recover from the accident - he was sent to be your "God with fur" to warm your hearts and heal some of the pain and anxiety. He certainly never knew he was separated from his fur-mama and was loved more in those three days than many animals receive in their whole lives! In that one video where Jami is snuggling him and he has his little lip curled up it shows just how happy he was cuz that's what goats do with their lips when they are happy and relaxed! Thank you both for all the love you share!!
