Bergdorf Goodman and Saks are the luxury go-to stores in NYC. Nordstrom opened in 2019...then you have Fashionphile and TheRealReal boutiques. You have lots of options for your next trip!
I have lived in the United States my whole life. And I have never been to New York. The flannel shirts are called Shackets here. It’s a shirt jacket combination. I’m glad to see you’re having fun looking around.
Hi, Steph - Head to Bergdorf Goodman or Saks Fifth Avenue - not sure if you can film in either of those stores. You will find all of the designer brands in those two stores and Nordstrom, as mentioned by another viewer. Bergdorf Goodman is just my favorite store in NYC. Check out the restaurant on the 7th floor for lunch or tea (make a reservation). A real treat! Hope you had a ball in NYC!
Yes Macy's herald square just a bit more of a historical landmark. Bergdorfs, Bloomingdale's, Neiman Marcus. A+ shopping. I hope your next visit you can go to the SoHo area, or even Columbus Circle. There are sooo many super cool independent shops as well downtown. Basically, when I get off the train, I make a B line right out of midtown. 😅 Looked like an absolutely gorgeous day, though, in the Big Apple 🍎 😊
Nothing can beat Harrods! That gift shop was everything!!!!!!! I spent more time there than anywhere else. 😂 Selfridges was amazing too. Uk has us beat when it comes to retail.
Macy’s is great. Love that store💕 Come to the West Coast!! We have outlet shopping that’s just too fabulous!! I think we in Vegas have 4 outlet stores that are amazing!!
It is. People badmouthing it don't know how to shop. Yes, they don't have the highest end. Not that kind of store. You won't get a Tom Ford lipstick at CVS. But you will get good prices on many items. Same with Macy's. You can get Tom Ford make up at Macy's. But you won't get Dior clothes If you have the money for the highest end, great. But don't badmouth stores that smart people shop.
Hi Steph, you should have gone to Nordstrom and not Nordstrom Rack. Furthermore, you really need to visit Neiman Marcus, Saks and most importantly Bergdorf Goodman for luxury! Not sure who advised you to come the states especially NY and shop Macys or the rack for luxury.
I didn't know that there were Macy's stores that carried Gucci and Luis Vuitton . (Macy's is a national chain) Most Macy's stores are geared for either middle income or upper middle income depending on the neighborhood. I remember years ago mentioning to a sales clerk at the Macy's in Annapolis , Maryland that I had better luck finding clothes at the Waldorf, Maryland store and she told me that the Waldorf store is a "C" store. We can probably assume that this NYC Macy's store is an "A" store.
I'll have to watch if you did a video in Dallas as to where you shopped. I love shopping at Highland Park. That's where the luxury shopping is at it's finest!@@Handbagholic
Totally agree. Macy's here in Austin is like a Sears now. I won't be surprised if they don't survive as a department store. I would think the one in NYC is nice since they are one of the big stores and also put on the Thanksgiving Day parades. I haven't been to that one in a few years.
Saks has great luxury handbags on first floor and the whole eighth floor is designer shoes. Macy’s is great if you are in the area and need to use a public restroom
Unfortunately I've found limited stock in London. US has so many more products on luxury brands... Corporate hubs are US based, and they don't want to lose face by not having products to sell nationwide to retailers. I've found the UK is very limited on bags. Once there are gone, distributions are difficult to restock...have the best time in Texas 🤠 🇺🇸
Thanks for the heads up! I went to Saks after Macy's and you're right the SA's are lovely, but they were also helpful in Macy's but yes, even better in Saks
One of my favorite bags is the Bedford medium satchel by Michael Kors, bought in Florida. I'm not sure how much they are showing it now, mine is in a lovely pebble leather.
Thanksgiving is the best time for sales get some real bargains in America, some stores give you the tax back if you take your passport always worth asking
Hey there, Steph! The Capusines always steal the show. If they look half as beautiful in person as they do in vlogs or online, I would be swooning like in the old movies, lol. Thanks for sharing and I’m looking for to seeing your next shopping videos.
Bergdorf’s, Saks, Neiman Marcus these are the stores you should check out if you want high end. Macy’s is not high end and really Nordstrom isn’t either imo
I actively avoid Macys 😅 most of them are sad and dusty 🙈 I’m also not a fan of outlets or outlet brands. Rather just save up to buy something I really like from a boutique or go for a smaller contemporary brand with better quality
OMG! I am a little embarrassed for us here in the US with this shopping trip 😂. I do have to say that Nordstrom Rack is a crap shoot and has gotten more like a TJ Max. It’s looking more like outlet products rather than actual boutique at a discounted price. I’m shocked the NYC store was that bad. That looked very disappointing. I’m sorry 😂. Sometimes you can find some cute Tory Burch things there and Veronica Beard is a nice brand, but I don’t think you got a great representation of that. Lucky Brand has cute things but I don’t think Macy’s buys the best selections. It’s more hippy/boho vibes. You are only finding Gucci and LV at Macy’s because it’s the NYC flagship. I would skip Macy’s if you are looking for higher end European brands especially anywhere in the US that isn’t a major city. You don’t find high end European brands at a regular Macy’s. They might have some luxury cosmetics but that would be it. I hope Saks was better. I’ll look for that video.
Why are you wearing shorts in NYC? Aren't most people wearing skirts? Don't wear shorts in Manhattan Longchamp backpacks and bags can be $100 plus less in NR. Try looking online
@@HandbagholicVeronica Beard is high end. That’s a find! Her jackets with the dickey inserts 👍👍👍. High end, Bergdorf, Neimans and Saks, as far as department stores. And Nordstroms in high end areas.
@@miradonfbd haha I was watching the footage back and I did think I should have looked at those more closely they were nice from Veronica Beard. I didn't get chance to go to Bergdorf or Neiman's - lots to hopefully film another time.

Macy's is amazing. Lots of luxury, just not crazy snob prices. Their turnover is fast.
Bear in mind the shoes with the yellow tags were not Valentino Garavani but rather Mario Valentino (lower end brand)

Steph your voice is so so adorable and I am so so happy to see your back to back vlogs you are my inspiration and I wish you have a fabulous Sunday💫🥺💖
Aw thank you Mansoor! I hope you have a fabulous Sunday also, I appreciate all your support you're the best.
Surplus sale is overwhelming, wow. Thanks for this nice video.
If you make it to Dallas, go to North Park mall. They have one of the BEST LV stores. Ask for Yuki, she’s the best!😊
Oh also I loved the Cali ones with the multi colored handle. That looked very special.
Bergdorf Goodman is my very favorite luxury shopping in NYC! Have a great time🍁🍂🍁
I missed this but definitely one for next time! 💖
Wasteful
Hey Steph! Hope you had a fantastic trip. Looking forward to all the great vlogs!
The LV apricot Capucine is my favourite from this video
Agreed! 💖

That Celine bag is gorgeous. I think it might be my favorite bag of yours. And at 9:30 there's a guy with his pants down behind you, LOL.

Macys is kind of a joke in the USA. You need to find a Saks or Neiman marcus if you want a department store with luxury
Totally agree, Macy's was amazing in the 90s
You got to go Saks, Neiman or Nordstrom
Norstrom’s is still nice.
Yep. I literally didn’t even know Macy’s had Gucci. Saks, Bergdorf, neiman Marcus and Nordstrom.

Kmart…blue light special is what Macy’s in metro Detroit remind me of
Go to Saks 5th Ave, Bloomingdale’s or Neiman Marcus

Hi Steph! The LV SAs are much nicer at LV in Saks on 5th Avenue. I had terrible service at Herald Square prior to the pandemic

Nordstrom rack on 14 street in union square is the best one in the city. The other ones are a crap shoot
Lucky is a great brand. Do you watch the guy that cuts up bags to examine leather? I think he really liked Lucky.
I love your lockme ever bag Steph ❤

You need to head up to Saks for the higher end luxury bags.
Yes I went to Saks after Macy's (that's the next video). I have to say, Saks was very impressive!
@@Handbagholic I grew up in NY and loved Saks (especially at the holidays!). Enjoy your trip to Texas…love your videos!
Sadly the two stores you went to are not the top to go to while in NYC. Bergdorfs and Saks should be your next stop when you come to the city :)
Right if you have a gazillion $
You have to go to Neiman Marcus

Thanks Lindsey!
I have 2 pairs of Ugg boots, but not the style everyone buys.

What a strange comment 😄 I will wear what I like and I like shorts I don’t care what ‘everyone’ else is wearing.
Everyone needs a pair of thongs and a pair of uggs!!
haha we do! I do not have any Uggs so a nice pair for this winter might be on my shopping list.
Macys, meh. Used to be much better.
