I just imported this CD recently, and I have to say it is fucking amazing. I've never seen a group combine jazz and post-rock drumming in the way these guys have. The CD that this came off of and the 4 song demo "Sezession" rank in my top favorites.
Although this definitely drum'n'bass sound😊
This is the type of music I live for
I'm gonna go insane trying to learn these drum patterns
I've heard all sorts of drumming throughout my life..but this...
Damn.
There are another great jazz drummer who can play drum'n'bass
I pray to god to give me more songs like this. That G7sus4 at 1:46? Pierces straight through to my heart everytime.
check out my latest track "Dreaming Alone" on my youtube page. it has similar dissonant chords
Tigran Hamasyan - Ara Resurrected
I honestly was not expecting this, As Toe is coming to where i stay next year, i thought i would listen to other japanese post-rock bands. I realise now that it is quite the insult to lable this post-rock; i mean jesus the drum techniques here are on another freaking level...
Yes because it's Math Rock
カッコよすぎだろ。
title is a reference to Jacques Derrida's book "Spectres de Marx".
Genius playing, beautiful video.
this group is simply amazing
These guys are phenomenal
awesome song.
it kinda reminded me of chocolate rain by tay zonday in the beginning.
ピアノが素敵だぁ
Riyouichi Sakamoto - 1919 is exactly this.
Yes it's weird. It is nowhere written that they were inspired by it even though it is exactly the same thing.
Because of another comment on youtube I am now a fan of this. Lyricless music is the way it should be most of the time.
amazing stuff, I will always come back to watch this!!
@WillThereBeFoodEnoug Haha, right? I suppose after rock would work... I'm going to Fuji Rock 2011, hopefully toe will be playing but I'm not sure about MOTK for an event like that. They announced over Twitter that they might be touring the US in 2011. I heard the same from Adebisi Shank of Ireland if you listen to them.

mouse on the keys/toe Brazil 2011! PLEASE!
Sweet :)
Marc Okubo sent me
Does someone know a band similar to Mouse on the Keys ? :)
Thxs
There's this argentinian band called Sur Oculto.
It uses piano, drum and 6-string bass but is more funky/metal but with a hell of a sound. Try the songs "Ce 3" and "El Aspero"
Dixit Dominus Definitely has that "metal vibe" in it.
Not really into it honestly but thx for the answer ^^
Louis Claudel You can try gogo penguin, mammal hands or fox capture plan.
Hakim Rom I ll check it out thx !
+Louis Claudel This band is like the Reign of Kindo without the vocals. You should check them out they are also beautifully jazzy
I just got punched in the face by drums and pianos!!!

Stop trying to label this. Just enjoy.
I love this song, but including this one there are only 3 or good songs on their albums.
>:(
They need to replace those keyboards with a pair of Steinway Model Ds and then we'll see 2 pianos and a drumer with high end sound! :D
Can't end a song worth crap.
lol, C4, you music thief.
amazing
