This spin-off had a lot of potential, but unfortunately the anime of Saint Seiya Soul of Gold ended very quickly, 13 episodes was too short for this anime as it had 12 Gold Saints. Everyone was very excited that they were finally going to see 12 Gold Saints in action, but Toei Animation made the animation of Saint Seiya Soul of Gold too cheap and the story was not impressive either, they finished it in just 13 episodes. They should have made more episodes in this spin-off, they should have introduced Thor the God of Thunder and Hela the Goddess of Death in Saint Seiya Soul of Gold, then this anime would have been more interesting.
Or instead of wasting their time and money making Saint Seiya Soul of Gold. Toei Animation should have made an anime adaptation of Saint Seiya Episode G because the story of this manga is brilliant. It did justice to the 12 Gold Saints, this manga was published in 2002 and it has amazing sequels as well. I hope one day Toei Animation will make an anime adaptation of Saint Seiya Episode G and do justice to this franchise.
