  • Hey guys! Today we're playing some Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground! Let's play this new Tactical Strategy Rogue-like set in the Warhammer Age of Sigmar universe and maybe learn a thing or two about the setting I've been neglecting. I've been hearing a lot of good things about it lately!
    Focus Home Interactive were kind enough to send me a key, but my opinions are my own. This is not a sponsored video. That's probably why if you're interested in playing the game you should by it from my nexus store linked below! Thanks in advance ;)

    I think the WHFB world is referred to differently (though I forget exactly - something like "The World That Was"). The Age of Myth was the first era in the Mortal Realms, when Sigmar was with his Pantheon killing godbeasts and taming the realms. It ended when Chaos re-emerged and Sigmar closed off Azyr (the Age of Chaos). The Age of Chaos then ended when Sigmar opened Azyr back up and revealed his Stormcast, beginning the Age of Sigmar which the game takes place in.

    Hey Janet could it be that the demigryphons are blue because they are also affected by the colour scheme?

    I´m not sure what a roguelike is, and can´t really figure it out from either context or looking up. I may be stupid, but can someone take the time to explain it to me? I think it is stuff like Diablo or Torchlight, but then this game is roguelike, and that makes no sense to me, as it is turnbased and has teams.

      One of the defining features of a Rogue-like is that you advance through (randomly generate) dungeons in which you have a reasonably high likelihood of failing, but gain some things that will increase your likelihood of succeeding on subsequent runs.

      @@EllEssEm So, it is about repeating levels and gaining a better chance of succeeding again? So Diablo and Torchlight are not roguelikes, since you get to "higher" levels as you increase your own skills?
      What are some other roguelike games?
      And thank you for answering

    • @EllEssEm
      @EllEssEm 3 года назад +1

      @@AnotherVolvoxFan That's a common feature (to my understanding), but I don't think there's hard and fast rules to what constitutes a Rogue-like.
      Rogue, obviously, is Rogue-like. But the main other game which I've seen catch the moniker (recently) is Hades.

      @@EllEssEm Thank you for answering. I think I have a better understanding of what a roguelike is now. Have a nice day/evening/night/morning/whatever timezone you are in :)

      Roguelike means you start from the beginning and crawl your way through the dungeon. When you are killed you are permadead. Next play through you start from the beginning and advance as far as you can. Rinse and repeat. Even though you die you keep your XP and any loot you find so each run you are stronger.
      It’s not like a story based game where if you die you restart from a checkpoint.
