Funny how such a superficial series in terms of plot is so professional when it comes to sets, clothes, design and all the details. Just amazing. People have been working on it for moths and months. I enjoyed this backstage film about the film.
I think it’s really difficult to make a show so superficial and “shallow”, but still so addictive and enjoyable for so many people at the same time. A well thought out set and wardrobe is an important puzzle piece for this!

@@RealShaktimaan I feel like as a culture we're losing our ability to think critically and with nuance. The show is obviously meant to be campy escapism. We use to be able to understand camp when we saw it. For example, nobody would evaluate a traditional soap opera on the grounds of what was "believable" or "most realistic". It's pointless, by definition soap operas as a genre are designed to be unrealistic and over the top. The same is true with Emily in Paris. To call it stupid is missing the point entirely. You wouldn't watch a children's show and say "this is stupid". Well ya, if you view it through an adult lens and evaluate it by the same standards you would a traditional television drama like Game of Thrones. However, each show must be evaluated by the rules and standards of it's own genre AND also the rules of television. Rule number 1 of television, real life is boring. If characters did what was logical, moral or in their best interest TV would be boring. So, it is misguided to evaluate characters based on how we would expect real life people to act. I notice, the public struggles with this concept especially when the character is female. For example: Carrie Bradshaw.
Darren Star is leaving an imprint on Hollywood that will never be matched. Throughout the years he managed to make us dream and pull us out of our mundane life with his shows!

Why did you guys not look at Sylvies apartment? Id love to see that architectually and it was such an obvious set to tour because its not anywhere else.
The plot is bad, dialogues are meh, some scenes bored... even some actors are really bad (prefer not to say)..... and cant wait to watch the New season!!!!

I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. The other one is a $40 one HIDUPZ Backpack Replica - also works for Compare - I can't find any difference and still use it for the gym
can they explain how her tiny apartment holds 5000 different outfits that she wears each costing thousands of dollars each? I know she says she likes to think Emily has a storage room in the basement but...no, not for the amount of costumes she has, and if that were the case they would show her CONSTANTLY going down to the basement because she changes outfits every 20 minutes in the show. still a fun show regardless.
