Hello Bắc. I am Tăng, an MRI tech in Vietnam. Last Saturday, I attended a conference organized by HART in Ho Chi Minh City. I had the opportunity to listen to your presentation on AI technology in MRI. I want to thank you for what you shared with us in Vietnam recently. I've been told it does due to not blocking the airflow. Using a big pillow will block the airflow through the bore. I've been taught this, but i don't have any test or so for exactly this. Maybe in the future i will look further into this with test and facts.
To be honest i find a regular pillow much more comfortable and easier to position the patients. With this sponge the head needs to be exact in position or it feels wrong. With a pillow you have more room to do small adjustments.

@@jmergem you can always require the images, but need a software to do the rest.... i dont have experience with other software to do so. so im not sure
We do have the dedicated coil you are showing. We scan hand and wrist with same position also. But unfortunately scanning in supine, the signal is not uniform across the image, half of the image has higher SNR we notice it specially in axial plane .. Siemens support team say that issue because of off center scanning. So we lost the advantage of that coil being capable of supine scanning in comfortable position. Do you exhibit the same issue regarding non uniform SNR across the image when scanning in supine?
Thanks for comment and I do find myself in your situation on our old skyra with old software. Having our first skyra with VD software we encounter many issues. But after e software installed many problems solved. So I'm curious on what scanner you at and software?
Hi Bac, It's great and so helpful in positioning of patient, but I want to ask pls. since the orientation (direction) of the hand is the same in superman position, what will be to input? feet first or head first still? in Pt. orientation. thank you.
@@jessetalkzone4157 thanks. Question of yours is important and never ending story. Most important is how do radiologists want to see the hand. Like I show we choose head first supine. Somehow it's wrong using that because in the dicom tag it says head first supine. So doing correctly you should use left lateral feet first / right lateral feet first then flip the images in PACs if radiologist wants so. As an anatomical position we know the hand points downwards, but my radilogists like this outcome as i show in the video. 👍
if you are scanning the Right wrist, as per the position mentioned in the video, means select Head first Left lateral and select scanning wrist as Right this will give you the outcome of scan in the right anatomical direction vice versa for the left wrist.
@@Nguyen_MRIhi,thank you and i appreciate your effort, I have a question pls,if superman position ,what i need to select the orientation?prone or supine?because hand is keeping in prone position?
it's important to show us what is right orientation of the hand and wrist in the obtained coronal and Axial images and what is the right inputs should be provided to the MRI software to avoid reverting or mirroring. it's so confusing I highly recommend to end this argument in a seperate video

Why that head cushion n not a regular pillow?
It's says you get better airflow through the bore compared to a big pillow. Less snr issues.
