Well done, Christy. I imagine being filmed on top of the training must have added some more anxiety to the whole process, so well done to you for allowing us to see the process. You'll be a great captain.
Congratulations Christy what a cool video. It just blows my mind the immense skill and mental agility required to fly airliners, specially when things go wrong. You handled that fire perfectly. Onward and upward. Shout out to the sim trainers for letting all this be filmed and giving us an insight into what it takes to be a Captain!
You know, I don't personally know you, Christie (don't even know if you read the comments), but I don't think I would have any qualms about getting into an airplane that you're the Captain of. I've watched you fly the Wong Warrior, I've seen your rise through the ranks at Envoy, and you're humble and you're willing to admit what you don't know. To me, those are the hallmarks of a good pilot. Twenty thousand hours from now, you'll have much more experience, but there might be a bit of the jaded 'old Captain.' I hope not, but for now, I don't think I'd have any issue flying with you in the left seat.
Hi Christy, I´m a long time follower to your channell and wrote several times in the comment section witch you, some times, were so kind to reply. As a retired P. pilot, I´m so glad for you and what you had achieved so far in such a small period of time; you were even furloged during the pandemic. So, VERY WELL DONE, LADY! The look in your eyes changed significantly from a P pilot to Commercial pilot. You have all the right to be proud of yourself. All my positive vibes goes to you so you can walk one step further in your dream-job. I send you a respectfull big warm hugg from NE Patqagonia, Argentina. Cheers!
Great video! Thanks for bringing us along on your training journey. Congratulations on making captain. And many thanks to Envoy for allowing this coverage.
Excellent video Christy. Congratulations on going for your captain upgrade training. Thank you for the look behind the scenes, that was really cool. Keep up the excellent work. Safe skies my friends 🇺🇸🛩️
Congrats on the next step in your career! I just finished training with Envoy in those same sims! I love #1916 and got my career started there! I just finished up there April 18th!
For the airline, it should be a no-brainer to allow the process to be recorded, regardless of the individual candidate captain is passing or failing it should be a confidence boost for passengers with respect to the airline and by making them (at least the minority who watch these videos) more aware which can only aid an evacuation should that become necessary. Good luck with the upgrade training.
Christy, as I was watching I realised as you said, you were used to being in your comfort zone "right seat". In your Captain training, do you practice "chair flying" to help overcome this mindset?
I completely understand. 2 days ago, I flew from the right seat for the first time. My right hand/arm doesn't have the mussel memory to properly fly, and looking for my instruments felt strange. But good job on the upgrade.
I upgraded back in 11/2022 at Envoy. Did the qualified upgrade as well, I think by the time I upgraded I had around 1300 hours in the 170/175. I really enjoyed it, and really enjoyed upgrade training as well as being a Captain. I moved on to my dream major airline, but I have great memories with Envoy, and also running into you in the jet bridge one day after a deadhead on one of your flights. Keep up the great work!
I imagine that there are many non pilots who watch these videos, so industry lingo may not be the best choice at times. As a non pilot myself I just learned a new term from you, so thank you!
@@kmg501 Some people wake up every morning and search for ways to be slighted and offended, others awake simply wanting to learn without being judgemental. In which camp do you consider yourself?
Why would you be so cruel and put someone down like that? Especially when she's trying her best and being filmed at the same time... it's honestly a very cruel thing to do. If putting people down makes you feel good about yourself then you really need to take some time to reflect on why that would be.

Christy, best of luck with the upgrade. You're way too good for this channel and should have your own. Millican is a tabloid hack.
Congrats to you Captain. I’ve been following along.

Captain Christy. That sounds great! Will continue to follow your progress.
It’s been so cool seeing your progression. Congrats
Gerard Smithers is the goat!
Congratulations!!! 🎉🎈🍾
You had a very understanding sim instructor for allowing you to record while training. Congratulations to your new seat. Loved the episode.

A clip of BrYan smoking in the lavatory would have been hilarious.

Wow, what an awesome video! Oh, and, congrats!!!
Congratulations!
I see Dan popping up again in the background, just like in a recent video of Jimmy's.
He’s everywhere
Looks like someone got the 3am Sim block!
I’m not an early morning person! 🙈
Is that Arnold schwarznegger standing in the back ground?
Fascinating
Appreciate you sharing with us. Best wishes for your continued success.
nice job Captain ....next...triple 7s
Christy, thank you and everyone else who made this possible.
Great job and taking some lessons with me!
Congratulations!!
Congrats on the promotion! And what a timely video, great to see some real world SIM flying ✅✅✅
Yeah when I saw yours I thought “it’s gonna be a sim day.”
hi
Honey,
A simulator is NOT called “ a sim” it’s called “THE BOX”.

@@Rodgerball I'm in the camp that likes to learn from all things. 🙂
@@kmg501 Good Answer, good answer. 👏👏
Congrats! It seems like just yesterday I was teaching your indoctrination class!
Way to go . I know you’re dedicated to being perfect. I’d fly with you anytime!
Missed the centre line, lacks spacial awareness and is over stressed in a simulator? I can't imagine how badly she would do in a real emergency.
Calm down, it’s a sim, you can literally do barrel rolls and not damage a thing
Look at you Chuck Yeager!
Another keyboard critic....I will let you in on a big secret, no one cares what you think pal. WTG Captain Christy👍
