Warren its Peter from New York, I watch every video you upload I’m so blessed and grateful I live in a time and place that. I’m able to learn from you and everything you do, thank you so much.
Have you considered raising your rates? Remember as we age time starts to fly and we forget that prices we have in our minds are old. When a Micky Ds meal now is like $9.00 are you still charging the same rates when that meal was $6.00? Just something to think about, your experiance , knowledge and tools are all very valuable.
@@MrVailtown When i do work on the side (Auto Repair) If I cant come up with a decent a number, i call around to local shops and cut that rate by 25%. Its bites me in the ass sometimes but it makes the customer happy and I always get a returning customer

Sounds like you need to get that young fella back and get him into an apprenticeship, I'm not sure how that's done in the States, I did my time in a small country garage here in New Zealand, the diversity of vehicles we worked was great, I think it was better than working for a dealership.
Thanks for the video, I always enjoy them because it is real life, not excessively edited and filled with RUclips music. Would much rather you talk about what is going in your life. Also the scenery in this video was wonderful to watch as we listened to you.
You are a great mechanic. When I worked heavy equipment at the Cn Railway for my last ten years. If I had this certain break down on days it would take two men 4 hours to fix it. If I was on afternoons the one mechanic would take 40 minutes to fix the same problem LOL
Work = good. Lots of work = Great. But don't forget to take care of yourself and your equipment. Thanks for video and fix on the Kubota. .. most traffic I've seen in your videos!
I'm glad to hear that you gave a positive comment about Kubota. Any piece of equipment from any manufacturer is only as good as its warranty and customer service. It's not very cool to have an expensive tool that one can't fix when it breaks. And they all break, as you know.
Adapter- melted in the fire. Laughing so hard! As funny as when my dad discovered the hornet plugging the fuel line! Nature throws some great curve balls. Great video Warren!
Not enough of you to go around. Not a bad problem to have. Sometimes I get overwhelmed. Still not a bad problem to have. There lucky to have you where you live there. Your one of the best...
Bobcat is one equipment manufacturer I will most likely never think of purchasing. I live close to their plant. Kubota has been very good to me, in parts supply. Reliable equipment to boot. Best wishes
Thank you for this video. Feel free to just turn the cam on when ever the sun is up, I enjoy watching you work. I have passed your channel to Bus Grease Monkey and his viewers because of your work ethics.
You are busy and you have reported zero issues from the new service truck (well the crane met it's match). Win Win. Stay well and thanks for sharing what you see.
Warren We all know that you have to take care of business first so don't worry about that. Do your thing and we will take any content you have time to do. I always learn something.
Hey! you're over 70K subscribers! Great to see! Congrats!! That M135GX is nice machine. I expected a machine with a "nest fire" to look a lot rattier than that. But I guess a new machine could have the same thing happen to it. Good of the dealer to get the parts off things in the yard. I understand dealers not wanting to tear down equipment for parts that aren't in stock. I don't expect a dealer to do that all the time but it is nice if they occasionally get someone going by doing that. Another great video Warren. You know most of us don't worry about constant videos from you, but I think we do like getting them, But don't let entertaining us interfere with your lively hood. Great one Warren.
I worked for a guy that was a lot like you years ago. One of the first things he taught me was not to over tighten bolts. He used to say that someone was a 6-pack mechanic when we would get something in with over tight bolts.
Thanks for sharing bud busy busy here too ! You take care and a Happy belated Fathers Day ! Sorry I missed you I was working on mine lol! Take care now 👍
Love the wave down On the road Shows Some people Still show respect. People say to me Why do you keep all these old plugs and Wire looms. This Video is the Very reason why I Like warren Care about what I Do. I also like to save the customer a few Bucks where we can. Shows Respect they remember that and a year down the line when it breaks again Your Phone is the one that Rings. As always Great Video warren.
It's pretty damn amazing the idiots didn't break those starter bolts, putting them in. I used to be a mobile diesel and heavy equipment mechanic, myself. I've seen some pretty crazy thing's, too.
Hi Warren, thanks for the video mate, electrical fires are never easy, 3 in a row huh!, don't they smell great too. Looking forward to the next video, stay safe, best wishe's to you and your's, Stuart.uk.
That's damned impressive service by the Kubota dealership. And sadly not all that common these days neither. More's the shame. Anyway, thanks for another good video Warren, always good to hear from ya.
That story about checking the thickness of the head gasket only works if the previous mechanic put the right on on for you to discover. I learned many years ago not to assume anything.
I had a similar thing with an oil filter on a small block chevy. Literally twisted the filter in half trying to get it off. I had to take a chisle between the filter and block to bend the filter enough to get it to come loose. It was close to 2 hours just to get that filter off. I'm not sure how they even got it as tight as it was.
I’ve ran into those starter bolts before on an isx. Normally it’s the inside bolt that was super tight. Seems like it was always in a Volvo chassis. I’ve got the right amount of swivel extensions and wobblys to fit a 3/4 impact in to get them loose.
Hey Warren, love the way you wave to passing traffic on the way to your jobs. I presume this is still a tradition in the rural areas of the U.S. It was the same here in New Zealand when I was a kid but now you only see it in the remotest regions where everybody knows everybody else. You also give great commentaries . If you can keep the camera a bit more stable when you're hand-holding it that would top off the perfect production.
gotta have good parts guys, must be a kubota thing becouse the fellas ive had the pleasure of dealing with are worth their weight in gold, real helpful and prompt with their calls back! haha
You have lots of brain HP and love to hear how you think through a problem using your decades of experience, keep up the excellent work. Stay safe and hope you are not cutting yourself short when billing. Am sure your customers would be happy to pay what your experience is worth. Every minute counts and your service truck travel time should be fully charged. Your overhead needs to be accounted for, I hope you have a good accountant - they pay for themselves many times over my friend and should cut down on your paperwork. You should be focused on making money and let the paperwork be done by professionals. Usually having your wife do your paperwork sounds good but in the end a mistake unless she has lots of experience. Accountants have many ways to recover your overhead and charge-out all your equipment and tools. Everything has a life span and ultimately needs replacement. Really happy to see that you are busy and I hope this translates into making money. Charge out all your time my friend, make every minute count!
I'm a youngster at 34 but ive worked on old john deeres with the family, these new tractors are junk, wish I lived closer I have a nice 430 crawler 2 cylinder bought at my families dealership in 59 that needs new clutches, under carriage is great but wont steer anymore
In all the many years that I was a Parts Person with NAPA, and then after I went into Ford / Lincoln Mercury & Other Makes all in the same dealership, I would give out the other brands part that was the very same, only thing different was the part number so that the owner would get there vehicle back and that the vehicle would not be taking up a Lift in the shop. And I would go over the parts order with the person's that ordered it to make sure I had it all right. And then when it was ordered, if items would be back ordered, I would get on the Phone to find those items at other dealerships. It the only way to be a parts person.
I had to laugh when i noticed our local excavator dealer calls his people "parts interpreters". Over the years i've seen so many struggle with vague microfiche pictures. They deserve some recognition :-)

Not enough to go around, & NOT enough hours in teh day, & too much work, is a very good problem to have. Where I'm at, any mobile mechanic that's worth anything is extremely busy!
Silicone sealer and Impact wrenches should have to have driver's licenses to purchase. I did a breaker bar strength test one day on a ford dually lug nut set. I had to use a jack stand to hold 3/4 extension to keep socket square and use a 3 foot 3/4 breaker and 3 foot of pipe and dance my full 235 pounds to get them loose. I broke several high brand 1/2 bars and surprisingly Harbor Freight 1/2 breaker bars did not break but the 6 inch 1/2 extensions twisted. Those lugs were felony overtightened.

Thanks for taking the time to bring us along warren. I learn something new almost every video
