I LOVED this ghost story - more please!!? Thank you so much for uploading 👍
Brilliant. Thank you
I enjoyed this especially how the history of the house was wove into the story. Thank you.
Very good, thank you for the upload.👍🏼
Thanks so much for uploading this satisfying example of a good old fashioned radio play. Despite the smug sounding, very actressy main female character, it was still a compellingly well told ghost story.
Thank you GK.
I really enjoyed this. Thank you very much for sharing with us. At first I thought Iain was James Bolam...I guessed wrongly 🤔
Love it thanks
Love it thanks 👏
Thank you for continuing to provide us with such quality material. Just got the shivers wondering about the fate of Robert. So glad that she was finally able to cope was really expecting Alice to triumph. , Brenda
she’s right, they do always blame the woman for being “barren,” when maybe the man is shooting blanks
When I was a nursing student, this awful man got mad at his wife for not having a boy! I couldn’t stop myself and said, “you know it’s the father that determines the sex of a child, not Mom!! They had 4 or 5 other children and he knew NOTHING! That was over 30 years ago and I’m still mad 😡
@@darlyswynn5594 lots of people still don't know that. I suspect men of a conspiracy to keep it quiet. Much easier the blame the woman, lol.
Hard to have much sympathy for such unlikeable people.
You are right! They’re orrible!
Spot on,annoying,selfish people,I know it's just a drama😁
Brilliant Uncle Chesterton !.....Ghost story with a difference. By the way....Don't 4get your on at Marzipan Rock next week when we start.
Love the solar panels on the roof!
hell yeah
Many dead today frozen in Texas and other states due to power outage Solar panels windmills frozen solid solar power can not be stored. A historic artic cold front never before seen in these states plus huge snowfall. Millions without any power. As usual the innocent are paying with their lives and not the guilty with lies on climate change and green energy. I doubt you would love those solar panels if your family was snow bound many never seeing snow before no way to get out were dead frozen to death from the utter failure and lies of a political agenda. It can happen what ever part of the world you live in. A real horror story.
Brilliant I didn’t notice them 😂😂😂
@@dannygrant4603 well spotted! I assumed they were something to do with a discrete marijuana factory operated by an imprisoned illegitimate son with the help of a mad relative. An aunt? Or an intriguing aquarium. I just love these dramas! It’s that or still opening the front door and looking at Brooklyn again wearing masks (or ignoring masks) and thinking bugger! Nothing new! Back to bed and the radio!

Could anyone please give us a little clue on what this one's about? We'd be really grateful to whoever can.
I don't remember them ever telling us the big secret in the office about that file no one would discuss.
Was it about a secret stash of porn mags at Ian's office? Think it must've been a plot device to show that because he was falling about laughing, he completely ignored his wife trying to tell him about the book and the scary history of the house.
The file was full of porn.
A very good reason not to buy a house (while having marital issues) if the house has strange smells, disturbed neighbours, artists, and umm...other issues. Unless of course you want things to go orribly wrong....great fun hearing this lot doing it! Takes my mind of my house purchase...
Good grief this is an engrossing piece of fiction. And it's very well portrayed. There were a few times I was holding my breath, and getting very tense.
Modern ghost story. Couple buy country house despite the horrible smell.
I don’t think you need to buy a country house. To suddenly discover mysterious and horrible smells. And hideous histories, and dire warnings. And mental breakdowns. Buy any house!
Is it just me, or does Lizzie sound like Margaret Thatcher?! 😊
No, just you.
She does a little bit actually 😄
Psychodrama?
Hannah Gordon?
Who do u think is Hannah Gordon ? If you think main lady then it isnt be cause Hannah was a good actress.
@@wrinkles2deep764 sounded like her... i met her in the late 70's - she took my 12 year old arm and we toured a car display near newbury. i was SO in love
DIdnt like this .....WARPED !
Baaaaaa
The incessant crying was really irritating unfortunately it spoiled the story had to give it up😮
Maybe I wasn't in the mood, but I didn't find this play engaging or entertaining.
Indecisive characters forced feelings about the same cradle again and again. Chaotic rumbling on trying to induce fear.noisy
