    Rules explanations/clarifications/mistakes:
    1. At 25:08, there was an inappropriate use of a Protective Ward while in Alter-Ego form. Dr. Strange doesn't think the rules of physics or FFG always applies to him and his mystical abilities. ;)

    Good game!! :)
    25:08 Protective Ward is a hero spell and you were in alter-ego form.

    I see Dale is interested in Hulk.
    Hulk is very... Hulky, and is basically a beatstick.
    While Widow and Iron Man players plan their turn out, playing their lil toys, Hulk slams one card down, grunts, and says, I completely obliterate this minion.
    Basically you know how Spidey throws away his hand for webbed up or webkick every once in awhile? With Hulk ur doing that every turn.

      @DaletheCasualGamer  4 года назад +1

      Call me curious ... with a Hero that has a hand size one less on the hero and alter-ego side and a zero for thwart, I am definitely interested in seeing if Hulk can SMASH solo. :)

    Aggression seems to pair really well with Dr. Strange. His only weakness is minions and cards like relentless assault just set him up for the W.
    Great video!

    • @DaletheCasualGamer
      @DaletheCasualGamer  4 года назад

      Thanks for watching! His invocation deck really does takes care of some big damage and stunning along with threat, so giving him the aggression aspect for minions and minor hits on the villain really completes his arsenal. :)

      Dale the Casual Gamer So I played Strange Protection and Hulk Justice today vs Wrecking Crew. It was a great game! I actually found the two heroes worked very well together like you said. I was able to focus Wrecker down fairly quickly using Strange and Hulk used some claps and attacks to whittle the others down here and there. The last two rounds were the best though! I was down to Bulldozer and Piledriver. Strange was able to defeat Piledriver by doing 18 damage in one turn, then Hulk SMASHED Bulldozer for 14 in one hit eliminating him for the win. I can see why people don’t like Hulk, but when he is teamed up he’s very powerful.

      @DaletheCasualGamer  4 года назад +2

      @@tlazaroff Compared to other Heroes, Hulk doesn't have many options. I'm sure as the card pool grows, he'll get better ... but teamed up with someone that can support his weaknesses, he can dish out some damage! Congrats on the Win!

    Hey man. Nice play throughout as usual. You don’t get to be dealt another encounter card because of the symbol revealed? Min 4:08

    • @DaletheCasualGamer
      @DaletheCasualGamer  2 года назад +1

      @Anwar Al Taher Thanks for watching! As the phase for dealing out encounter cards has already passed, you are not immediately dealt another. So you have a turn to try to get that out of play. Hope that helps, and happy gaming!

    It's ridiculous that Strange made it through play/balance-testing as he did. There are so many small things you could do to make him less ridiculous
    1. Not allow him to use his hero ability 2x in a turn
    2. Deal an encounter card when the invocation deck is emptied (it's powerful enough to warrant this, honestly)
    3. Reduce basic power on his invocations (2 less damage on Bands, 2 less thwart on the thwarting one, one more cost for the tough, etc)
    Right now he's just the most ridiculously flexible hero with zero drawbacks in any circumstance. Not fair to other heroes honestly.

    • @DaletheCasualGamer
      @DaletheCasualGamer  3 года назад +4

      All valid options for bringing him down a notch ... Or maybe he was made strong to help deal with increased villains to come. ;)
      Thematically, not all heroes are on the same power level, and for the game, everyone has their own play style. I do like using him as support in a group. So much fun to play. Happy gaming! :)

      Once I get a copy. I wish FFG would send me early copies. :) I like what Ive heard so far. Sounds like the initial villain the heroes fight together, then after he is defeated then everyone battles a villain alone until they are all taken care of, then back together for the 3rd version.

    is it possible to show the game where you lost? I was curious to see what events happened that led to losing a game because it always seems like you can solve it somehow

    • @DaletheCasualGamer
      @DaletheCasualGamer  4 года назад +1

      @Diogo Ribeiro I get few plays in, so typically I am recording when I do play ... and I've been fortunate recently. Not to mention Black Widow and Dr. Strange are great solo with pretty much any aspect.
      For losses while I was recording, I had Thor and Spiderman team up against an Expert Klaw that didn't end well, ruclips.net/video/nFg3lA1Pxqk/видео.html
      And for the experience, I did Heroic level 3 with Klaw against Spiderman and Captain America, ruclips.net/video/nFg3lA1Pxqk/видео.html ... I wasn't expecting a win, just seeing how long I would last. :)
      Solo with the right hero with a deck built for the villain is the easiest way to play to win. So going against Rhino and playing a slow game probably won't end well, or not being prepared from him to attack big with overkill at least once or twice. Events that spell trouble ... early game getting too many minions out or your nemesis is never good, or a villain getting too many attachments are problems. I'm curious how the upcoming Hulk will play. From the cards I've seen there isn't any way to deal with threat, so solo he might be very difficult to play. Anyway, hope that helps.

      @@DaletheCasualGamer I remember a comment I read in one of your videos recently, that guy talked about building a specific deck for a villain. Most people says that this games is easy but they make right deck for each villains that minimized so much the chance of something going wrong. When Caleb said at the Kang presentation that he didn't find Dr strange OP, I now agree with him because the tests are done without specific construction. Of course he is strong but I think that only those who do not build deck will end up feeling that the game is far and not that easy. Heroic don't exist for me lol. Great videos, always helps

    • @DaletheCasualGamer
      @DaletheCasualGamer  4 года назад +1

      @Diogo Ribeiro I haven't always done this, but I'm going to get at least one play in with the pre-constructed deck, just to see how FFG designed the hero to be played, and then adjust to my play style. I'm glad FFG created Heroic and Rookie mode for more possible options, but I am content with the two original modes as a "casual gamer". Depending on the hero, villain, or group of players, I'll adjust depending on the situation or my mood.
