At 2:30, having charged through 2 hexes of the large enemy, Shadowborne Games has confirmed on BGG that the Ursus could have chosen to attack the rear hex (second hex charged through) of the large enemy if desired, rather than the Flank hex.
I like to remember it this way... Movement actions always bounce off the edge. This helps to prevent enemies from building up along edges (or worse, getting stuck in a corner). Attack actions (Knockback, Charge Through, etc) don't bounce off the edge. This may be to prevent such attacks becoming more versatile (and therefore more powerful) near the edges. But that's a guess on my part. Hope this helps.

what if the boss doesn't have range for anyone in charge through? will it just stay still? luring him seems op
I do wish they had a consistent rule for board edges. Sometimes movement is ended by them, sometimes it is reflected.
