Hi there hope all well in blighty and just wondering where you would entertain teaching us how to play some of Richard Thompsons songs, R.T. like Tony McPhee is one of them artists I could never figure out how to play any of his songs on my own and you cant imagine how uplifting your Groundhog videos have been to realise once shown the basics I could at last do versions of some of my favorites. I always wanted to have in my repertoire Richard and Linda Thompson - You're Going To Need Somebody from the album SunnyVista. I know there must be so many singer songwriters material you would love to sit down and work out songs that you love yourself and its no doubt finding the time to do so but I can but ask :o) you take care laddie and by the way I retire end of this year and gonna relocate permanently to Siem Riep in Cambodia and enjoy my music there and there will be the first audiances that will get to hear renditions of some Groundhog songs courtesy of learning them from your channel. If one happens to go down well and filmed and recorded I will share it. Toodeloo the noo
That’s amazing ! Congratulations on your impending retirement 😊 Thank you so much for the nice comments and I’m really glad these vids helped. It’s great that there is such appetite out there for this stuff and it’s a shame we can’t all get in a room and blast a few of them together. I’m going to listen to that RT song now - we listen to his stuff fairly often, a couple I’d really like to cover.
Thanks my friend and keep in touch, who knows maybe see you in Siem Riep one day and do a few songs together, my mate Dan is a British musician there right now and there is a developing music scene there which bodes well for me as I can soon dedicate far more time to my music.
