Thinking of going alone and enjoying the nostalgia because I haven't been there since I was a kid in the 90's back when they still had the wave pool and Tampa Typhoon giant slide.
This was our first year back, too. The last time we were there was when they had the giant slide, too. It looks different, I think. When you want to leave, just go to a gate member and tell them you are going to your car. They will give you a pass. I carried a phone bag around my neck with a car key and a credit card so we did not have to get a locker. They have a nice pavilion on the right side in the back to eat lunch. It is a lot of fun still, but for a family of 4, we were spending over a hundred each time we went, and our admission and parking were free with the pass. @FloridaandBeyond Awesome. I went there a lot when I was younger and always had a great time. I'll miss the wave pool and Tampa Typhoon/Gulf Scream slides. My buddies and I used to go down at the same time on those slides and race lol. Can you take the phone bag with you on rides or do you have to take it off? Also, do you have a link for the phone bag you used? I think I'm going to buy some water shoes as well and wear them there. I'll just leave whatever can't get hot in ziplocs in the cooler packed with ice in my car like sunscreen etc.
@markhall541 you definitely need a water spf shirt, water shoes (the ground is hot), and a phone waterproof case. We got ours from Helen when we went tubing. You tuck it under the shirt when you go on slides. You just wear it around your neck all day.
@FloridaandBeyond Ahh, the spf shirt too, I didn't think of that. Its better than sunscreen wearing those shirts, and tucking the phone case in the shirt for the slides is a great idea. You are welcome! We had the pass last year and would spend 100 bucks each time we visited. We wanted to figure a way to spend 0 dollars so we could just enjoy the park and not have to spend money each time we went. They make it easy to have lunch in the parking lot.
Great tips. I think we are going to eat before we go in and then bring in tuna salad and snacks. The food looks like the typical SeaWorld and Busch Gardens quick service. Not worth the cost or waits.
They allow no food in the park or drink besides one water bottle. It is so easy to walk to the parking lot. They have a really nice pavilion in the parking lot, too. Park near it and leave a cooler in the car. Seriously, save the hundred bucks. Get a phone bag to wear around your neck or leave that in the car, too. With the pass you save so much money! One thing to note on the Busch Gardens/SeaWorld Florida passes is the Discovery Cove 30% off discount. Still a bit expensive even with the discount, but the one time I went it was definitely worth it. My trip down in a couple weeks will be SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, and Adventure Island. I do have a question about the lines at Adventure Island. How does Sunday compare to Saturdays? I have my option of the two days, and while I plan to rent a cabana, I will probably grab lunch while exploring the park. I also need to know how the lines are between the two days, especially later in the year. Any help you can offer would be most appreciated.
We went on Saturdays which was a madhouse. We never went on Sunday, but I would think it is the same as Saturday. We also went on a Monday and Friday which seemed less packed. Enjoy your trip! Thanks for watching!

A few of the rides you have to take the water shoes off. What we would do is go to the end of the ride and drop them off. We would tell the person at bottom that we were leaving them there. Everyone carries a phone around there neck at the park. There are rules posted on each slide. I had one all day to carry batteries and credit card. I tucked it into my water shirt on certain rides.
