This TikTok Imposter is the WORST!

- Unfortunately, this is one of the struggles of having of social media. It's far too common. But this imposter really rubbed me the wrong way - stealing my profile photo, name and content...but also stealing content from another creator - with MY NAME! Please report this page if you are on TikTok. I am not on TikTok so anything there for me is fake.

Some people just suck. They are basically stealing your life and profiting from it. I’ve seen quite a few of these imposter accounts and I try to report them for stolen content.
FYI - tic tok’s days may be numbered. Congress may ban tik tok after Jan. I really don’t care since I don’t use it. Very Sad that some people don’t use their own God given talents but instead feel the need to steal those who are. Keep up the good work, Britta!👏
I hope you are right about Congress. I think TikTok has done quite a lot of damage to our country by spreading falsehoods as truth. And many people don't do their due diligence and dig any deeper.

A good part of why I like you and CC is because you both seem very transparent, straight forward, and honest in your communications. Anyone who follows you regularly would recognize the difference between your unique styles and an imposter eventually, I'd think. But I don't do social media at all, just RUclips. TikTok is not an atmosphere I want to be in. When I want to say I think someone is full of horsecrap, I say they got their degree from TikTok University.

It's also so disappointing to think people can be so duplicitous. But I have a lot of faith in you and CC's abilities and integrity, Glad you're well again. I saw earlier this week in a SHORT that CC posted-----she called out the Thief, and explained that You and She are both the victims here. I have been subscribed to both your channel, CCs, (and other horse-related channels as well) for over a year. EVERYONE knows that Clever Cowgirl is in Montana and Project Equestrian is in Vermont. I have BOYCOTTED TIK-TOK from its inception. One, because it's just good to Limit social media, period, and Two, because I read an article that Tik-Tok is out of China and that users will be running a high risk of Hackers, having that app. No one who has been a fan of yours or Clever Cowgirl's content would ever think you capable of theft. But Thank You for making this statement video. We live in a World that is run by Dark Souls, spreading confusion and disinformation----and nasty little bits of chaos, whenever they get a chance. I do limited internet, but I do watch The Clever Cowgirl and up until this moment of writing I had been concerned and worried about her. There should be a better way for people like myself to find these things out. This effects everyone ⚠

I reported the account 2 days ago and commented on many of the videos saying it was a fraudulent account. I hope others do as well.

RUclips will crack down in a NY minute, if it's something that goes against their narrative. But stolen content is really common, especially for "shorts", I'm sorry that happened to you.

If I may say so - I think that, in this environment, every content creator needs to create an account on every single social media platform - whether they really want to participate there or not - in self defense. That would prevent someone else from usurping your identity like what happened to you. You would not need to actively participate on any platforms that don't interest you, just login once every couple of weeks, maybe post something occasionally.
You might also consider embedding a watermark in your content that associates it with "The Project Equestrian", and you might need to put it someplace so that it would still show up if someone cropped larger format video down to a smaller (phone-sized) format. That would help you re-claim your content if some thief tries to steal your content and post in some account with some other name.
I'm really sorry this happened to you - there are many such victims out there, and you happen to be among them. And BTW - FWIW, I've been a subscriber of The Clever Cowgirl for quite awhile now - and learning about this on her channel is what brought me to yours. I just subscribed. :)

Is there a button on RUclips video upload that restricts others from “clipping”? Is that how they grab and steal content?
They’re unfortunately are multiple ways. I don’t think there’s any way to avoid someone stealing if that is their intention.😫

I can't help you or CC by reporting the imposter on Tik-Tok because I don't have it and don't ever plan on getting it. I don't know how big of a pain it is but please start putting a watermark on all your content. You may want to take a new pic for your profile, add a watermark, then change you're profile pic if you can. Since neither of you had Tik-Tok or watermarks it probably made it easier for them to steal your content. I just found you because of CC's video. So sorry this happened to you both. Wishing you the best.
I am not on tik tok, so I only see you on UTUBE . I have seen thieves from another area and I just remember what the word says. " DO NOT BE DECEIVED GOD IS NOT MOCKED WHATSOEVER YOU SOW SO SHALL YOU REAP. I have handled things by doing this.

Clever Cowgirl, Free Spirit Equestrian, Nick Johnson channels have all been victims of theft by imposters on various platforms. Verify first before making false accusations. Nick, notably, provided a blueprint for outing the thieves on his YT channel. These creators put heart and soul into their work. Out the imposters wherever they are in your life.
Ugh, why do some make it a priority to steal and lie about other people? Really sad. Is there any way to find out a rough idea of where this person is from the IP address?
I’m not sure. Some of the videos said they were posted from California though.

It’s unfortunately way too easy. They just downloaded my photo and made a profile for me.
Then they downloaded the videos or screen recorded them and uploaded the account 🤦♀️
And yeah, a lot of people do not like TikTok. It certainly brings a lot of problems. It also is a much more hostile environment.

Would there be any way to legally challenge this person under identity theft? Bc we are living in a new technology world, there needs to be new laws to combat this type of theft and that won’t happen until a few RUclipsrs ban together and bring a case up against these kinds of techie criminals.
Disclaimer: I really don’t know how the RUclips community works, however, I just thought if a large enough group could bring this to the attention of law makers, there may be a way to write new laws to protecting your identity and content. We know u all work hard to build your channel, no one should be able to profit from your hard work!
Things like this are typically done in places like New Delhi, China, etc. It's impossible to get to them and their governments don't care.
You know, I didn't know when it happened, but happened to view a video from a year ago from Free Spirit Equestrian where someone stole her WHOLE account! RUclips helped her get her account back after proving it wasn't her, but how scary. Even on FB, it's gotten crazy lately. Imagine if these people put their time to good use. What a crazy world we live in. I'm not on TT often, but will definitely try to find it and report it. I hate bullies and imposters.

I follow her channel closely and her sudden absence seemed to be more than the difficulty dealing with Skeketor's death. Her work should have acknowledged that a horse's death as a part of the work she has chosen to be in. I was concerned for her well being due to her back or other issues. A simple brief reason for an absence should have been made. That this channel brought up another issue making my concern even more hi -lighted. ⾺
Watermark your videos. Tiktok won't do anything and there is no option to report, someone impersonating another creator(just a celebrity)

Unfortunately, even watermarking wouldn’t have helped me here. Because they had made an account under my name. It would’ve still looked like me just posting my own content.

It’s ridiculous. Had one of my Raven videos get stolen and posted on Facebook and got over 300,000 views for that scammer 😫 I kind of forgot about that until now😂
The Clever Cowgirl also asked her followers to report this. I reported that person on tiktok - one does NOT need to have an account on tiktok to do so, I don´t have one either. Hopefully lots of followers of both CC and yourself will take the short time to hop on tiktok ...

I don't have a tik tok account but I was able to go to the fake tik tok account and report all of the counterfeit CC videos. After seeing this video I know which are yours and will report the rest of the stolen videos. I'm sorry your content was stolen.
