What i like about this game is that in my opinion its a little less meta heavy, i mean yea, if you wanna do the most damage go for it, but i feel like in this game any character can be good if the player is skilled enough and builds them well

I love most stuff in WuWa honestly. Its not only the combat and etc. Its even finding loot using a certain device that can find chest. It shows if the chest is up or down. And I am not an old player. I started since the day of release on mobile.

Lingyang caught my attention when i first heard heard about WuWa, also heard him being the worst 5star but that didn't stop me as i rank by Fun gameplay>Damage Rn I got him in my first ever 10th pull at novice with jianxin (yes so lucky) Wanted to proof he's not bad and he delivered good! Appealed my interests and playstyle! He breaks the shields so fast, can reach flying bosses, moves and jumps fast! And oh boi a lvl 45 boss with my lvl 50 lingyang with 3star lvl 50 weap and 1 maxed lvled 4star echo that's not even a mid piece managed to deal 7.48k outro dmg alone no crit, tell me that ain't impressive for being the "worst" dps I swear once a big influencer said he's bad, everyone piggyback rides xD If they hate simply by ppaystyle then that's just skill issue at this point xd
Its nice that you're enjoying him! The thing is, he's indeed the one of the hardest charactes to play, but ideally that should come with a bonus of him having comparatively better dmg - like Danjin. That's the thing he's lacking :)

For me I got Jianxing off of the novice banner, Jiyan and Calcharo in a double 5 star pull on my 3rd 10 pull on Jiyan's banner, and I got Verina from the selector. Only reason people think he's bad or mid is because he's hard to play, well, not hard but very technical and require you to understand how he works and when to use his skill. His playstyle threw people off.

You are simply forgetting an important detail. If he's already worse than majority dps characters at launch, specifically two fellow standard ones, he's pretty much gonna become one of the worst possible characters over time. (Unless there's a meta shift like pure fiction in hsr)
I don’t think it’s fair to say WuWa copied Genshin or that Genshin copied Zelda. Like Genshin is obviously nothing like BOTW, people said that in reaction to the first trailer like 3 years ago but anyone who played the game for more than 5 minutes will realise that the only similarity is the open world. And WuWa is using the general “genshin formula” with the combination of the UI, pull mechanics and game genre, but its still its own game. I don’t understand why people feel like they have to pick between Genshin or WuWa.

my favorite thing about wuthering waves is that meta is only for "show off" and every playable character do have genuinely good, evenly distributed power according to their in game "skill" (for example verina with heal or aalto's bait and switch) so you don't always have to have The character or The artifact / set for them-you just have to genuinely master the attack patterns and advantages of your mains, so if you fail combat it's gonna be on you as the player and not the build
Toaqi, between the 4 seconds when she is in her parry form, and her secodary skill, at c6, is effectively immortal. Her secondary headls a third of your hp, and he can just spam the counter, giving shield to all characters.

You are simply forgetting an important detail. If he's already worse than majority dps characters at launch, specifically two fellow standard ones, he's pretty much gonna become one of the worst possible characters over time. (Unless there's a meta shift like pure fiction in hsr)

I don’t think it’s fair to say WuWa copied Genshin or that Genshin copied Zelda. Like Genshin is obviously nothing like BOTW, people said that in reaction to the first trailer like 3 years ago but anyone who played the game for more than 5 minutes will realise that the only similarity is the open world. And WuWa is using the general “genshin formula” with the combination of the UI, pull mechanics and game genre, but its still its own game. I don’t understand why people feel like they have to pick between Genshin or WuWa.

I’d say Taoqi is A. It gets amazing play putting her and like encore together for example. A strong shield plus self sustain and alright damage
I personally main Jiyan, I'm actually quite interested how he will fall as being an SS character. But still, I will probably main him till the end

I just started two days ago and I literally have almost all of them 😂
my favorite thing about wuthering waves is that meta is only for "show off" and every playable character do have genuinely good, evenly distributed power according to their in game "skill" (for example verina with heal or aalto's bait and switch) so you don't always have to have The character or The artifact / set for them-you just have to genuinely master the attack patterns and advantages of your mains, so if you fail combat it's gonna be on you as the player and not the build

I chose calcharo because he is very motivated. Really gives you the feeling of power. A real bash
taoqi is OP if you get the counter initiation right, of course with good weapon and echoes.

Toaqi, between the 4 seconds when she is in her parry form, and her secodary skill, at c6, is effectively immortal.
Her secondary headls a third of your hp, and he can just spam the counter, giving shield to all characters.
