They weren't smart at all, I've seen much better plans from agents, you know... As a Brazilian, this ugly girl makes me ashamed, but there are serious people... I myself took care of a 6-year-old boy in England and I treated and was treated with great respect (including the way I dressed). Husbands and wives, protect your family, because even if they are faithful, there are nannies who only think about taking what doesn't belong to them and all they need is an opportunity. Hollywood is there to show that today nannies are almost like prostitute and they publicly expose these people on magazines inside other people's homes as nannies and as wives later... even if they hire older women, don't trust anyone. God bless you!

UPDATE: HE GOT ARRESTED TODAY! 4 counts of aggravated murder and one count of use of a fiream during the commission of a felony.
EDIT: Did a little bit more research on why it was four counts instead of two. Here is a quote from the Commonwealth Attorney's Office: "The reason we did that is, it’s very lawyerly and technically, but essentially it boils down to in the aggravated murder statute there are a number of different options to prove that,” Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney Steve Descano told WUSA - when explaining the four different counts of murder filed this week. “When we took a look at what we intend to present at trial, we believe our presentation of evidence can possibly hit both of those different subsection elements. We wanted to cover all our bases and make sure the jury had every option that they could want when looking at the evidence.”

I was an AuPair in the DC area. I knew a lot of AuPairs. And especially the ones with young kids all had memberships to all kinds of things around their home.
Additionally, most of the time the AuPair decides what they do outside the scheduled events (like swimming, dancing or music classes), as the parents are either at work or busy at home. So the AuPair will most likely arrange to meet up with other AuPairs.

    Hi Steph
Im from South Africa and we could really use your platform to bring justice. The more noise the world makes, the less likely it is for our justice system to fail us. There was a girl from Caledon who attended Overberg Highschool. Her name is Deveney Nel and she was 16. She was murdered on the 7th of August 2024 by another classmate, Francios Brand who is 17. He beat, raped, stabbed and strangled Deveney to death on the school premises during a school sports day. He proceeded to hide her body in a store room where one of the teachers ended up finding her. Francios Brand helped search parties, knowing what her did to her. When he was 13, he raped an 11yr old girl and left her covered in blood with a wire around her neck. He got away with it, no charges or anything. We need someone with a large platform like yours to spread awareness of the femicide happening in South Africa. We want justice for Deveney Nel and all the other women and girls who has suffered at the hands of men. Please Steph.
Edit: Between the start of April and the end of June, there were 966 women murdered, and 1644 attempted murders of women. There also has been 314 children murdered and 243 attempted murders. South Africa remains with the highest femicide rate *globally*
Enough is enough, so I am pleading to SPEAK ABOUT THIS. No matter how big or small your platforms are, we need to be the voices for those who can't speak up.

Their behaviour after the crime is for me the one of the strongest indicators they did it. And also a strong indicator of shared psychopathy tendencies.
In Brazil, there is a famous case of a killer that was caught because of similar behaviour: police caught the killer hosting a house bbq party only days after the murder. A Violent murder that had taken place in the house, k1lling who should be a loved one. After that, they started to include that person as a suspect and the investigation proved their suspicions right.
Chris Watts is an American case that follows the same pattern.
Psychopaths act under a completely different logic that shock us but it makes perfect sense to them. And in some cases, that is precisely what makes them get caught.

It must be a terrible perspective if a person knows higher emotions only cognitively but is not able to feel them.

the comments are crazy like blaming both the wife and the nanny, but no blame against the husband?? its like when say only the woman who helped someone cheat iss a homewrecker (which is valid) but then paints the husband as an innocent victim? like thats a grown ass man, hes not a baby, he should be held accountable too for ruining the relationship.
BOTH the nanny and husband in the situation is evil, dont victim blame the wife!

just a great reflexion of our society. in a situation of adultery, it‘s always the wife who didnt put enough effort to keep her husband, and in this case every single victim blaming comments mentioned or the mistress (and this one is valid as you said).
But men can get away with it and are sometimes praised to not settle in a marriage where they‘re not pleased anymore.

Something went wrong with their plan. Much will come out at trial. For one thing~blood splatter. The male victim would have had to have Christine's blood splatter on him and his blood splatter from a head gun shot would have to be on her and exact. Also, defensive wounds on Christine. Nobody is going to lie there and let someone stab them repeatedly, there would be blood splatter from that also. No matter how smart someone thinks they are, there's no such thing as a perfect murder. And that's without something going wrong with the plan.
Even if the husband didn't shoot the killing shot, it's still attempted murder and he had to have murdered his wife too.
This whole thing is one big setup, imo. We'll find out so much at the trial. But nothing is going to bring back that loving mother and dedicated nurse who shined her light on this world. 💔

In other words, they don’t care about justice or protecting potential criminals’s reputation until proven guilty. And mostly, they don’t care about the victim.
They care about protecting men at all costs, just twisting around the arguments accordingly to the circumstances. EVEN when proven guilty, like people did with Chris Watts case. It is very easy to tell who is concerned with justice and who is just concerned to see a man they can relate undergoing serious consequences for actions they sympathise with (even if the action is “just” having an affair with the nanny)

He took away the mother of his child. Betraying his own blood without any remorse…easy to only blame the other woman. But this man was supposed to protect his wife and child.

I haven’t experienced it from a parental perspective but just being here and working you’ll find a lot of people are very status driven, so I wouldn’t be surprised that this type of thing transfers to the (wealthy) families and how they handle their kids. Also common amongst the wealthy families is the presence of an au pair or nanny, especially in this type of household in which both parents work and at least one of them works very long hours. ATTORNEY HERE! A few notes:...An attorney will recuse themself from a case if they see that there is a COI (Conflict of interest) between representing their client and some other outside factor (ie: who is paying them). Juliana Peres Magalhaes' attorney is someone named Ryan Campbell, I looked him up and he's a partner at a law firm in Northern Virginia, so he's NOT court appointed. I don't know who is paying her legal bills, but, Campbell would need to recuse himself AND tell the court why he;s recusing himself if he thinks that the interests of the party paying him are in opposition to the interests of his client. IF he were to continue to stay on as her attorney, even with this conflict of interest, it could actually work in her FAVOR if she's ever convicted because she can bring up 'ineffective assistance of counsel.' (ie: my attorney did a shitty job because he didn't have my interests in mind). Attorneys do NOT want an ineffective assistance of counsel mark in their record with the Board of Bar, so Campbell is going to AVOID a COI. Even if the husband is the one paying Campbell, there might not be a conflict yet, OR, sometimes an attorney for Plaintiff A will talk strategy with the attorney for Plaintiff B because at that moment it makes sense for them to work together (ie: let's get their stories straight so they don't contradict each other) Campbell would probably stop working with that attorney (if that's even happening, because i'm only saying it hypothetically) if he realized that cooperating with the other attorney is no longer in his client's best interest.

A good attorney would, but there’s a lot of shady ones who get away with being shady for years. Look at Alex Murdaugh, for example and maybe since the dude is an FBI agent for the IRS specifically he might be transferring the money to her account so it looks like she’s paying the attorney but it’s him paying for her attorney behind the scenes so there wouldn’t be a paper trail on the lawyers side of things because how is he supposed to know who’s putting the money in the bank account but they have a verbal understanding that he’s the one paying since he would know about paper trails and how to hide them

    • @jennymaria86
      @jennymaria86 Месяц назад

@@ava9xx3js9j No. However, it would be something that she would bring up so she can have her case Appealed. BUT, It wouldn't even go up to Appeal unless the lower court would determine that this conflict of interest did two things: 1. fell below an objective standard of reasonableness and that the outcome of the trial would have been different if the lawyer had not made errors; AND 2. the probability must be enough to undermine the judge's confidence in the trial's fairness and outcome. FOR EXAMPLE: Let's say there was a conflict of interest, but in the end they found SO MUCH evidence against her that the lawyer could have been PERFECT, but with that much evidence, she would have been convicted anyway. OR, maybe there was a conflict but it only arose in the beginning because the lawyer decided to take on the case pro-bono once he realized there was a conflict...so...just because there's a COI doesn't mean there are grounds for ineffective assistance of counsel...BUT...the second there's a COI...as an attorney...you want to fix it ASAP and if it can't be fixed ASAP so you don't put the client/case at risk, and sometimes that means dropping the client/case completely.

The way I imagine it happened, is that someone created a fake profile for Christine. They chose this type of fetish, as it includes a weapon. They told him to either enter the house through the door and gave him directions to the bedroom or maybe use a window, all as part of a roleplay. If you're into something, then surely, you will have tools. We all know, that if an intruder is planning on murdering someone, most likely they'll bring their own weapon. In my opinion, this scenario could most likely pass as a home invasion instead of a planned murder. And why are we assuming that Christine was naked in bed? The nanny's story doesn't make sense in the timeline. She enters the house to hide in the basement (weird), she then decides to go upstairs, hears a knife cutting through the flesh (weird), and hears the husband and the other guy, both, ordering each other to drop the weapon (weird). What was the husband doing during all of the past time??! Isn't it possible that the husband forced Christine to take off her clothes at gunpoint? 'Why would Joseph park his car in front of the house, during a busy time. If the police check Christine's phone records and compare them with messages sent on the website, they might be able to find out who was using the laptop. They should also check Joseph's phone and compare all the timelines.
I also believe the husband made Juliana shoot Joseph to be complicit in the crime, to never turn on him.
Old story, a man murders his wife instead of divorcing her because he's greedy. And I believe, Juliana had a huge part in planning and committing the crime if it wasn't her idea from the get-go. Why not replace Christine, and be the woman of the house, and no effort needed!

If something needed to be bought online, I was instructed to use her computer and she would often have me do errand stuff like that unless it was something fun for her (NPD).
54:39 100%! My employers had nanny cams and intercoms. Any of the domestic staff automatically knew every conversation could potentially be listened in on. The only way to get around this was during crayon time when myself and the other child care workers would have important personal information or need a tampon 😂
And yes, an au pair is VERY different. I was chosen because I was an EMT with experience working with autistic children. It was a HUGE paycut and nanny abuse is very real. The horror stories I have. BUT the child was wonderful! To be an au pair or full time nanny is very emotionally rewarding and taxing.
56:22 😂 this is laughable! There is nothing more unattractive than a wealthy man cheating on his wife and abusing his position of power. People that choose to be au pairs and serious nannies have no interest in stealing the husband. We wash their dirty underwear, clean up after they eat, care for their child, and listen to their god awful polka music at 8am on a Saturday. Even something over the counter, like Benadryl - which could have basically drugged her or kept her knocked out in a slightly higher than normal dose - and made it easy for the husband to set the scene and then leave the door unlocked when he left. That kind of makes the most sense of anything.

How can the aupair trust that this man isn't going to get tired of her someday and do her in too. Also, WTF, how do US IRS agents have state issued firearms. This country is saturated with violence. I wonder why.

The term “au pair” is French and literally means “social equal”. The original idea being that the Au Pair isn’t just hired help but almost an adopted member of the family on equal footing with the parents who form a close bond. Christine obviously viewed the role that way and treated her Au Pairs like family, which makes it so much more sick that Juliana immediately took Christine’s place and started sleeping in her bed after the murder.

Lol it doesn’t play out like it’s supposed to a lot of the time. Many Au Pairs are exploited, misled, overworked, and underpaid. I’ve heard many au pairs call it slavery (i don’t agree with using that term)

please Stephanie do a video on the current femicides happening in Africa theres one in Kenya with Rebecca Cheptegei, Deveney Nel from South Korea, Sia from Sierra Leone and even the current femicides and rapes happening in Nigeria. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE and put them in separate videos so all victims will have separate stories or make a series based on the femicides happening in the continent and outrage will be much more louder, thank you so much for always being a voice!

The worst part about this case is that people are victim blaming the poor mother. She was a wonderful mother, amazing ICU nurse, a loving person and deserves respect. No one should blame the awful situation on her, if anything it was the dad’s and nanny’s fault.

She was an ICU nurse that means she was probably most of the time at the hospital that's why they needed the nanny to live in, that's a very tough job. That's very sad. Why don't you just get a divorce?
