@@oszaszi Nah,they definitely know,Uvi has been savage raiding since at least heavensward. (if you sort by oldest on uvis channel, the oldest FFXIV video is an A6S clear from 2016)
Absolute banger - one of my favourite boss themes. Listened to it for about 8 hours straight the other day getting the savage clear and didn't get bored of it at all.
She's great! Just seems instantly relatable. This was my favorite song of the expansion so far. Knowing the context it does tend to bring some tears for me.
Man, I'm a little bit jealous with you, Marco - getting to talk with Chrissy Costanza herself about her experiences singing Give It All and her career so far, it must be incredible...She also is the main singer for Hero Too from My Hero Academia(for those who don't know), and getting a chance to work with Soken and the FFXIV team has been her dream; and she has an amazing singing voice as well, being the lead singer of the band Against the Current!
Woooo Chrissy is on of my favorite singers. i remember watching the collabs with KHS when i was in high school. You have to cover all of her League songs if you haven't already
Chrissy seems so kind, fun, and intelligent. I'd love to talk with her about all sorts of nerdy stuff and theater. I play/played a few instruments but never got into singing, yet it's something I have wanted to learn for a long time and would still like to. Seeing someone so relatable and whose work I admire is neat, so interviewing her was a great idea. Thanks for this Marco! I never knew I knew more than one song of Chrissy Costanza's until I watched this. I haven't actually played the raids yet (so I looked away during the song part) and I don't even play League of Legends, but the song Legends Never Die is in my Liked Songs on Spotify and I love it. I had no idea she was the vocalist in Against the Current since that's the only song I'm aware of by them. I've known she did Hero Too since that episode came out, though; Jirou is one of my favorite characters from My Hero Academia and I've cosplayed her. Her love for music has always been super relatable. So now I know 3 songs by her! xD I'm also horrible at recognizing actors' and singers' voices by their voices alone, though. I don't know how people do that lol. My ex could do it with Japanese VAs in animes despite not knowing more than a lick of Japanese which blows my mind. There are a handful of exceptions for me I suppose...like Gwen Stefani's voice being instantly recognizable because it's so unique. On the other hand I have listened to Kelly Clarkson my whole life but her voice is less unique (at least to my own brain) so I have trouble picking it out. Anyway, I'm super off topic now.
Wow, this is one of my fav songs in the current expac! It really drives the battle, which makes it even more incredible. I'm so glad you did this interview/react with Chrissy, Marco! Amazing! Can't wait to hear more from Chrissy in the future 😉
Finally been waiting for you to listen to this, it’s been my addiction for the past month. She done an amazing job, this is actually one of my favourite songs in the game.
It's so amazing when an artist just transforms themselves while performing. Being able to find and channel this different energy within yourself is a skill that not a lot of people have. Amazing work. I progged and cleared the savage version of this fight, so I was listening to this song non-stop for hours on end, and I did not get tired of it.
I GEEKED when I saw Chrissy's name come up as featuring in the new raid series.... I can't even remember how many years it's been since I saw ATC play in New York in the very early days. Such a great track stoked for her and for all of us to have this performance!!
i saw christy constanza at an ATC concert a long time ago in like 2014/2015 and have been a fan of the band and her since then, so it's really incredible that my worlds have collided
Absolutely LOVED you getting into the singing technicalities. Your expertise is why I'm here! Please don't hesitate to talk about your craft in that way.

I recognized her voice day one because I was in love with her song from My Hero Academia for a long time so I was waiting for them to announce that it was her and got so excited when they did! Chrissy's voice is so good especially in this song and I think she did such a good job portraying that sense of desperation and determination that Wicked Thunder has. I've been blasting it since release
Genuinely didn't think they could surpass Scream for "song that I literally can't get sick of listening to" but boy am I happy they did! Soken and Chrissy did such an amazing job on this track, it's a permanent part of my playlist now.
Two games notorious for their communities, League of Legends and Final Fantasy 14. It will be very interesting to see Chrissy's reaction to the community welcome party for her when/if she streams her playthrough.
Girl's busy being on tours around the globe and what did you expect? 400 hours of msq? ain't nobody got time fo that. best she can do is joining the trial fights she has no clue about during fanfest, wipe 20 times and call it a day.
Now that I finished watching and can comment something actually useful, well.... That was a great video! Chrissy seems to be a really great person, I'm gonna check her channel too!
When I saw she was announced for Give It All, i had recognized her name, but I couldn’t remember where on earth I had seen or heard her name. Then my Spotify playlist kicked in with Phoenix and then I remembered she performed Legends Never Die and Phoenix on the Worlds stage for League of Legends and I couldn’t have been more hyped for the song
That question about how she sings the higher parts in the chorus, if it's in her throat or in her chest... that was very interesting and insightful, to me. I've listened to this song A TOTALLY 100% NORMAL number of times since the raid was released - whatever that means to you ;-p - and I've noticed when I'm actually trying to sing along to it, when it gets to the "to me, to me, to me, I gotta believe..." etc. part in the chorus, it is suddenly in an UNCOMFORTABLY high range for me (and deceptively high, if I'm being honest - hearing it, it doesn't SOUND that high, but singing it, it certainly FEELS that high), and it almost felt like my throat was closing in on itself when trying to sing along to it. Now... I certainly don't sing as often as I did when I was in school and in chorus and stuff, but still... either my range has dropped since then or like... IDK, maybe it's harder to sing a song in a more rock style like this that "suddenly" goes higher than it is to sing a song that is more consistently high, for a not-professionally-trained singer? It was a weird experience, for sure.
When I first heard the song I thought it was Hayley Williams tbh. But when people told me it's Chrissy, I was immediately like "ohhhh no wonder I recognize the voice..." Anyway, absolutely love the song. I didnt like the expansion story very much this time but the raid has been amazing, especially because of the music. Also I LOVE how you two started nerding out about music! I love hearing pros talking about singing!

Easily my favorite song from the expansion
Also, she's not a villain, she really is a victim in all this. It's just that she doesn't know what else to do.
Villain or not, she tried to kill us. Twice, if you count the savage fight.
Attempted murder is not something we should be trying to justify 😂
Imo she's both a victim and a villain! I think that makes her a more interesting and nuanced character.
I think the perfect word would be "antagonist".
