Like many comments, this music represented such a hopeful and amazing time of my youth. 17 years old, living in another part of the world on my own. Growing, leaning into the unknown with so much excitement and trust. 15 years later to be listening to this song again is just, surreal.
this youtube video was uploaded not long after I was born, and I sit here to enjoy the song after just being introduced to Nujabes and similar artists 2 years ago. this music really is timeless
This reminds me of my 12 hour drive to toronto , canada from NJ. Oh my what a breathtaking experience it was, passing through the mountains, the scenery was beautiful. Cutting through Pennsylvania and New york, just me , my dad and 2 sisters. IT was a truly beautiful experience, just watching cars go past, and relax to a great summer day.
Man I remember listening to this song when I'd walk home in the evening after hanging out with my friends all day when I was in middle school. While walking Id look up at the sky and I remember one day it looked just like the sky in the thumbnail and I just knew that years from now id come back to this song and reminisce on the good old days. I'd often wonder how my life and how myself as a person would turn out. That was about 10 years ago. Damn how time flies. Wish I could go back to those simpler days when I'd walk home on the chilly fall evenings.
Reflection Eternal was playing when I found out Jun was taken from us, from then on I couldn't listen to the song for long, years later Rain, Rythm and Soul brings me here, now I feel truly at peace with this version, "I miss you" being a deeper meaning in this case.
the original came from an artist called Noriko Kose and the song is called "I Miss You" both Nujabes and Ayur sampled this one, i suggest you listen it's a beautiful piece of piano and violin ^^ Great mix though i didn't know this one from ayur ^^
i clicked this on accident searching for a song with the same name almost 3 years ago. the very next song i clicked was Reflection Eternal. i thank God i did. these two songs changed my life and view on music
Nice! Thanks for the background info about the similarities and samplings ("head high up..high up high..."---I think that's what Nujabe's Reflection Eternal says lol)
I love almost ALL of music from Nujabes and I love this song as well. Japanese anime has some of the best music ever.. Was this (or the other track) part of the Samurai Champloo soundtrack? BTW one of the best programs I have ever watched. I waited over a year to watch the last episode because I didn't want it to end.. ha ha
This song is beautiful. Undeniably gorgeous in every way. I love this version more than Reflection Eternal by Nujabes (even though his piece is also amazingly beautiful as well).
@Yoo Sin Nujabes didn't sample Ayur. Ayur and nujabes used another much older song for their beats. The original song they used actually had vocals in it. If you look hard enough on here you can find a video that plays the original source for this beat and Reflection Eternal.
Someone with such a comment really doesn't belong here: I just discovered Ayur, but even I feel that this song is about peace and serenity. And you're giving the opposite. Why give so much hate? Life is too beautiful.... try to actually listen to the song and you will get it. (Hopefully)
Lol Nujabes didn't sample from this producer, but the original composer Noriko Kose (I Miss You, originally by Noriko Kose then later Ayur did a their rendition, was released back in 2000) Oh, and Beautiful Fields was released in 2007 and Modal Soul in 2005 so...
guys read the description, "Truly a very lovely piece by Ayur, has a similarity to "Reflection Eternal" by Nujabes. This was the piece made by Ayur, in turn Nujabes used this as a sample to create his "Reflection Eternal"."
@OMFGBA0BA0 Is it not? The feeling this song gives off is a Sadness, but yet you can draw laughter from it. Like standing on the rocks of a sandy shoreline, and watching the waves engulf some of the smaller rocks to your feet while the rain storm is coming down. To your feet, you catch sight of a small little crab a cute little bugger but as he tries to climb the rock, the waves splash him so he fell down into the water. But yet the rain continues, and in the distance, you see the sun. Auwh~
actually, after hearing the entire song, i bet that nujabes just sampled the melody from this song because this song seems like a full version....not just one simple melody, it flows...god im so glad i discovered nujabes, cyne, substantial, shing02 etc....
@Cire408 i dont know if someone replied to you already but from what it says in the description that nujabes SAMPLED this song, not the other way around.

I'm so thankful to stumbled upon this amazing piece when i was growing up, now this music will be one of the most nostalgic melody in my life.
Certainly. Some artist you may want to look for would be Nujabes, Fat Jon, Shing02, Tsutchie, Force of Nature, Uyama Hiroto, and Nomak.
If only I have reached your comment 12 years ago.
They seriously get me through day to day life. Some of my deepest memories are connected to nujabes songs
Same

Idk why but this comment made me sad.
i want my simpler days back too.
:(
I really want to cry..
I hope you happy and nice everyday😊
😭😭😭❤
howre you doing now?
I just discovered that style of music in 2021, and love it!!!!
Cool bro
Big Nujabes fan right here, but this "Reflection Eternal" sounds amazing. Love it.
People, it matters not who sampled from whom, do you like this track? That is all you need to concern yourself with.
Let me get mad at people from the internet!
[just kidding ~~~]
It does matter because if you keep on going back you discover even more precious songs
@@shaheedperez5692 yup. You are right.
Every time I hear this song, I can only think of my childhood friend. RIP Isaac
may his soul rest in peace
Nostalgia is painful, but also somewhat reassuring.
this is a great lyric
Don't forget ^-^
@@warsin8641 2 years later, same goes to you :)
This music makes me appreciate the beauty in simplicity that's out there in the world.
Ayur makes awesome stuff..
Children of earth was my favorite.
Yeah, I've read somewhere that he did. And I agree with you there, all of those artists are excellence beyond a reasonable doubt.
I can listen to this over and over .....million times!
Reflection Eternal was playing when I found out Jun was taken from us, from then on I couldn't listen to the song for long, years later Rain, Rythm and Soul brings me here, now I feel truly at peace with this version, "I miss you" being a deeper meaning in this case.
Search for the Album "Beautiful Field" you will find it there. Its a compilation of various artists with a similar feel for each song.
been listening to this song for years now. hasn't gotten old!
dislikes only occur with no passion for music.
rest in peace Nujabes.
may your legacy live on through your art.
the original came from an artist called Noriko Kose and the song is called "I Miss You" both Nujabes and Ayur sampled this one, i suggest you listen it's a beautiful piece of piano and violin ^^
Great mix though i didn't know this one from ayur ^^
I fell in love with this song as soon as the piano melody started last night.
Been listening over and over again ever since.....
both samples are phenomenal!!!
最高です!ありがとうございます!
This is great, every bit as good as Reflection Eternal, yet different
i miss you too Nujabes...
😢 we all miss him,,hope he' having fun on making new album up there..
Man the name of the track just hits, a shame Nujabes isn't here with us anymore.
Sweet music and very beautiful pictures, thank you for this nice upload :)
without this song i never would've found out about nujabes. this was my stepping stone. this was my gateway drug.
I´ve been looking for this song for years...
surprisingly i like this sample the best out of the many, many that i've heard.
Its so amazing how Nujabes inspired so many producers and DJs... May you rest in paradise Jun Seba while you make beats for god. We miss you.
Requiescat in pace Nujabes. You will always live on in our hearts and in our ears
Had to put my dog down, listened to this and it just made things better. i cant describe it but it felt uplifting.
How beautiful....
This made me cry. It was like happiness and sadness all mixed together, kind of a strange feeling really.
2:51, Crater Lake National Park in Oregon! So beautiful!
Why is this getting thumbs downs?.... Norkio Kose's "I Miss You" is indeed the original one!!!!
i clicked this on accident searching for a song with the same name almost 3 years ago. the very next song i clicked was Reflection Eternal. i thank God i did. these two songs changed my life and view on music
I found this track very powerful, maybe because i was such a big fan of the original, and it just hit me i got goosebumps like never before.
Nice! Thanks for the background info about the similarities and samplings ("head high up..high up high..."---I think that's what Nujabe's Reflection Eternal says lol)
@Seth Beaird lol also a possibility...
@Seth Beaird lol thank you 😬 I also thank RUclips uploaders for allowing me to discover these samples and even more artists. ✨
beautiful...
this song is so beautiful... perfect!
❤️
Can't people just appreciate how beautiful this song is instead of arguing like the immature people they are?

OooOOOooO this is where nujabes got this sample from!!! i love it
i hav a good frend who really loves this song,
*coughcough
but now i hav grown to really really like it too.
thanks for posting it:)
Why would God need a DJ, He was the One who gave man the ability and talent to perform such beautiful music.God is the Ultimate DJ.
This song is beautiful. Undeniably gorgeous in every way. I love this version more than Reflection Eternal by Nujabes (even though his piece is also amazingly beautiful as well).
Amazing!!! this is my favorite music!
Sometimes I come back here and think of all the mistakes I made.. I still have regrets
@Yoo Sin
Nujabes didn't sample Ayur. Ayur and nujabes used another much older song for their beats.
The original song they used actually had vocals in it. If you look hard enough on here you can find a video that plays the original source for this beat and Reflection Eternal.
Its so beautiful...
Nujabes is a sampler of music, in reality he used this song which is the original to make Reflection Eternal/Another Reflection.
this is so amazingly chill
It's easy to make comparisons when you've had a taste of perfection : ( i miss you baby, you are 1 of a kind!
absolutely gave me the chills when I first heard it.
coz its just that good.
zomg... I started to tear at the eyes listening to this...
It reminded me of Seba...
RIP Nujabes.
this is just too beautiful n overwhelming
Very beautiful!!!
I dedicate this to my LoVe, i fell in LoVe with her two years ago. She's apart from me but by faith God will bring us together in the right time.....
Or maybe in another lifetime I know this feeling all too well I pray your soul finds peace
OMG THIS IS LIKE REFLECTION ETERNAL, this is awesome.
Someone with such a comment really doesn't belong here: I just discovered Ayur, but even I feel that this song is about peace and serenity. And you're giving the opposite. Why give so much hate? Life is too beautiful.... try to actually listen to the song and you will get it. (Hopefully)
Beautiful piece.
Nice interpretation of Reflection Eternal
Never say never, my favorite contradiction. It can happen, as can anything. Impossible is nothing.
i love the images

Exactly
Sampled from the futur.. Guess that's why theses music seems to defy time :P
そんなんどっちでもええわ
どっちも美しいしええ曲なことは変わらんしええわな
This song sheds our tears to Nujabes...
The main piano was sampled off Noriko Kose's "I MISS YOU"... Ayur and Nujabes sampled it...
so nostalgic. I miss the person when I listen :)
I love this song soo mush that when I grow up and I get married this will be the wedding song
Are you married yet now in 2021?
@@Xiong-f2l Same, I'm wondering too.
Beautiful.
sent shivers down mY spine this songs so smooth.
what came first this or Reflection Eternal - Nujabes?
this is amazing imma see if i can make a mix with this and nujabes
@zenero123 a different version in which nujabes got his hands on the same sample ayur had...
beautiful~
both versions are great. doesnt matter.

Sounds like it would be in K Project.
rain rhythm and soul brought me here.

Masterpiece !!! WellDone Ayur
Indeed they are!
Actually this song is a tribute to Nujabes, so Reflecting Eternal is the original. Even says so in the description.
The most relaxing shit I ever heard in my life.
wow....wat a great track
@Cire408 i dont know if someone replied to you already but from what it says in the description that nujabes SAMPLED this song, not the other way around.
This is really peaceful
So, Reflection Eternal is a sample of a sample? It's cool that, even though all three songs are different, they share a specific tune.
Rest in peace Nujabes
amazingly beautiful.~
i love this piano
He's very little known in the world of music.
RIP NUJABES MAH BOIII!!! Luv ya long time man :(.
