1:21 I'm always sort of amazed when people have some concept of things that didn't work or couldn't be done throughout history, despite evidence that they do work, and can be done. Reminds me of a lindybeige video where he talks about drawing a sword from the same hip as the hand you're drawing with, and how somebody said that it couldn't be done, while he did it in front of them.
Sandy Cheeks, Hammy, Slappy Squirrel, Skippy Squirrel, a Pachirisu, the Chippettes and Alvin and the Chipmunks all just sh¡+ themselves because of this vid lmao 😁
I like a lot these videos of making knifes, but what about other tools or ancient weapons? Also I liked the video of Q&A about what happens with the animals killed with the traps.
Quite interesting..... Question can you make a video on how to make something using dried leaves? but what if i don't have sinyu? what is the alternative?
I'm sure family and work life is keeping you more than busy. But if you have the inclination and you can find time to do some more bushcraft videos, I sure im not the only one who would really appreciate it. Maximum respect Mr Woods. However the content changes or doesn't, I'l still be a fan.
I swear to god if this video gets demonetized I will lost my shi- Comment taken down for adult material gotta make RUclips a safe and happy place for children
SYOTOS I've found soaking my hides in a bucket of either diluted vinegar or Dawn removed all fleas and ticks. Botflies are another story and I cut them out.
Rusty Shackleford Something that small could be ready within a week if it isn't too humid outside and it gets a good amount of sun. If you're impatient then you could cover it with salt for a few days and get roughly the same result
Way don,t you just make a camp-fire and cook it/eat it infront camera!, you wasted the food if i was you i definitely start a cord-drill/pump-drill or stick-drill or bow-drill to make a camp-fire and cook it cause is a primitive-survival!

I love your videos. You're in my top 3 favorite channels. Thank you for all you do.
dude your freaken amazing with crafting items and survival. I watch all your videos. Cant wait to see more
this knife reminds me of a scalpel because it has a sharp strong blade and it can be used for skinning
Very informative and educational thank you
Great channel. Like that you're so interested in this stuff. Thanks for posting for us all
that's actually a good recreation of the knife.
You've got fans from South Korea!^^
I miss these types of videos, i adore Shawn woods but now its only about mousetraps
Thanks for showing us real footage of a squirrel being skinned so satisfying
A very interesting, entertaining and educational video Shawn thank you!
I was wondering if you could watch the movie Apocalypto and try to recreate some of the weaponds from the movie
Magnus Vorland love that movie
He did an aztec eagle dagger obsidian arrowhead and an Atlatl
RUclips is recommending your part 1 to this.
Two in one go, nice.
Loving these Bushcraft vids, keep them coming!
I'd like to see you make a coat. It'd probably take forever to get the skins, but that'd really show what he went through just to make his own cloths.
Yeah, the Canadian Iceman's blanket too a hundred or so I think.
Hopefully they don't remove this video
This video is very impressive. Not just the content, also the editting kept to short and sweet.
I've never seen one like this before! It's markings remind me of a quail!
Thanks for another great video! :D
Nice video but I would have liked to see how you turned the hide inside out once it was dried.
Hey, nice to see you here. I'm a big fan.
Great video.
Won't the knife cut through the skin when it's being carried around?
Really cool
Fascinating!
please do more of these videos! i know you're busy with mouse trap videos but these are awesome too!!

Sandy Cheeks, Hammy, Slappy Squirrel, Skippy Squirrel, a Pachirisu, the Chippettes and Alvin and the Chipmunks all just sh¡+ themselves because of this vid lmao 😁

I like your Videos. Thanks for the Instruction. You do a Great Job. 😏
National Geographic needs a Shawn Woods channel !
Great vid
Not sure that deadfall method is thousands of years old, the three stick method shown was patented in about 1840 or so in England I think.
i made my first arrow quiver the exact same way out of a dear skin :)
its lasted over a year so far
Do you have a video of where you made your knife?
I'm not bothered from the rats and mice deaths but the squirrels kinda do but not much. Keep up the good work!
That's awesome

can you make a thorwing bone spike and that can punctured wood
was the canadian ice man having a stattrack knife
A twofer! Good work.
How do you smoke the skin, in a pipe ?
I like a lot these videos of making knifes, but what about other tools or ancient weapons?

Quite interesting.....

ArcherFish You can make cordage out of tree bark or some flexible species of plants
Thanks but any specific plants? like palm tree leaves wild plant leaves
I'm sure family and work life is keeping you more than busy. But if you have the inclination and you can find time to do some more bushcraft videos, I sure im not the only one who would really appreciate it. Maximum respect Mr Woods. However the content changes or doesn't, I'l still be a fan.
"These traps are inhumane!"
This guy: *instant squad wipe*
Good video
that squirrel looks delicous
Darksa Niwa ikr
I swear to god if this video gets demonetized I will lost my shi- Comment taken down for adult material gotta make RUclips a safe and happy place for children
Sadly it shows skinning an animal, someone is going to complain. Odds are will it will get demonetized if not removed.
this channel is actually great for children to learn some stuff they would never see in their cities or schools and actually get better at manual work
Hamza Har - I agree, but some don't see it that way sadly.
I don't care about children, that's why RUclips Kids exist.
Justus Bengtsson agreed. I love stuff like this. Very interesting and historically accurate.
Love ur vids
Awesome
I stretched and salted a squirrel skin. Really tough leather, I was surprised.
Make a coat from those squirrel skins.
BOTFLY?! Is it dead?
I have made the knife and it works
nice double kill .
this comment is for interaction score.
awesome video.
Primitive Shawn is best Shawn!
Nice
Double kill
Hoc??? (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
sir please show how do you put bait please
what if the ground squirrel has fleas how can you get rid of them?
SYOTOS You can soak the skin in water I think so the fleas will drown (but I don't know if the water can ruin the hide
oh ok thanks
SYOTOS fleas feed on blood. Once the animal is skinned and the hide either starts to dry or is tanned, they will leave for food elsewhere or die.
SYOTOS I've found soaking my hides in a bucket of either diluted vinegar or Dawn removed all fleas and ticks. Botflies are another story and I cut them out.
DOUBLE KILL
How long does it take for the raw hide to dry?
10 years
10 years
christopher sedeker
Oh sorry not 10 years, just one decade.
Don't know what a decade is? Don't google it, as I already know you are el estupido.
Rusty Shackleford Something that small could be ready within a week if it isn't too humid outside and it gets a good amount of sun. If you're impatient then you could cover it with salt for a few days and get roughly the same result
Silence of the lambs, squirrel edition
You should team up with the "Primitive Technology" dude.
I'm recording all your videos whit mobizen, just in case that RUclips take them down :/
Double kill bro nice

Teach us how to cook a ground squirrel.
Hopefully RUclips will Not Block your Videos again. There are very useful.
2 squirrels...2 stones?
Trees of Green lol
this guy legit skinned a squirril
Two squirrels with two stones
круто!
2 squirrels with one stone
it okay
infinite birds, one stone.
Not just a squirrel a ground squirrel
Show it dried
2 FOR THE PRICE OF 1 GRANDMA
How the hell do they make clothes outta that much skin
You just have to kill a whole crap-load of squirrels. But if you're living wild and hunting and cooking them all year long, the skins can add up.
pauljs75 logic to playing survival games: it adds up sooner or later
@@randomcatmeow1394 it really does just sew them together.
DDDDOUBLE KILLL
not that bad
1st great vid also
Killing two squirrels with one stone
im not hating or anything but imagine getting your skin ripped off like that... ouch
Imagine getting burned in a crematory... ouch.
That poor squirrel had blood fly out of its mouth 😪 R.I.P 🐿 (yes I know that is a chipmunk close enough)
Urban Stone Age I said I know it is a squirrel not a chipmunk
Well i guess that's why you're a chemistry nerd and not a biology nerd
Urban Stone Age yeah I knew it was a chipmunk but it was the closest thing I could find to a squirrel
Please tell me this guy's joking....
Urban Stone Age it is a squirrel, but there isn't a squirrel emoji so I used a chipmunk instead because it was the closest I could get to a squirrel
Way don,t you just make a camp-fire and cook it/eat it infront camera!, you wasted the food if i was you i definitely start a cord-drill/pump-drill or stick-drill or bow-drill to make a camp-fire and cook it cause is a primitive-survival!
I’m sure he did something with the meat off camera
