    I sold the Springbok 1969 puzzle called "Snow White Without The 7 Dwarves" it was round and just blank white, no picture, sold for more than a hundred, picked it up for 3 at an antique shop

    I was fortunate enough to find a sealed Liberty a few years ago for $5 at a yard sale. I’ve never found another one.

    I just sold a springbok at $$$ and it wasn't sealed. Keep in mind, you'll have to build it to demonstrate it is complete, (I don't think counting is as good because perhaps it has over 500 pcs.,and people like to see the puzzle complete.) so those 32000 piece puzzles may be an issue lol unless you absolutely love puzzles.

      Yah I've tried counting and found a 500 piece puzzle may actually have 500+ pieces and did get info from a puzzle company and that 500 or what ever is not the exact number in the box.

    Thanks Don, was not aware of The High End puzzles, hope to run into those which seems to be the case after I learn something new from your videos. I have sold a Frank frazetta puzzle by Springbok and to small early mod 70s puzzles

    I've sold some of those vintage Liberty puzzles and cardboard puzzles in odd-shaped boxes, most from the 1960s and 1970s. I think the most I got was $80. It's possible that I walked away from $, but I only paid a few dollars for them, and I prefer a fast nickel to a slow dime.

    Another great video! I have quite a few springbok puzzles. A couple of the round ones. If used, would you have to show it put together or can you just count the pieces for listing?

    One addition to Heye puzzles: trying to sell some I found out that there are actually different cutting patterns; collectors are searching for specific, old patterns, paying higher prices that we see in your video - newer patterns often sell for less. As a rule, the packaging should say "Happy Puzzle" to be the oldest edition, and should have e plastic lid. The pieces should be in unopened bag and the poster included.

    Another artist for puzzles that always goes for big $$ is Peter Maxx. Usually at least $100 used, sealed is triple that.

    I would just love to know who buys these things from you for such high money, here in the UK you would get next to nothing for these. Even Springbok puzzles make very little money, the US market is so very different to that of the UK. Thank you, Don. Charles in the UK

      Puzzle people here are crazy. I bet the difference is people here keep and sit on their puzzles just because we have the space to store many boxes. Some have hundreds. I see on some pages people go to you all’s charity shops and get top quality multiple puzzles I go to our goodwill and maybe had 5 and you take your chances it’s all there.

    Thanks again Don, great video- very informative. I understood all that you covered and it was interesting to see how specialty puzzles as well as more mainstream can bring in some great profit. Would you say that everything said - would a mint condition puzzle opened/ piece count accurate could bring close to what one would if it was sealed? I understand that sealed desirable items will bring in greater profit however you have taught me over time that I shouldn't always assume that. Any information would be most helpful as I do run into opportunities from family friends and the community, I just never bothered to look into the niche outside of sealed offerings.

    Puzzle people are just insane! I am a puzzler so I read all the fan pages. There are some that have 100 to 200 puzzles in their to do list. They own these. I myself have 23 I need to get rid of. Ones from Japan are pricy!!!! Before Ukraine Russian puzzles were pricy also.

    Any value if pieces are missing?

  • @MrLaggy2000
    @MrLaggy2000 2 года назад +1

    Sure, but Puzzles only have value of they are complete. An incomplete puzzle brings pennies on the dollar compared to a complete version. Counting 500-1000 pieces at a sale is totally impractical. Even if it is complete you almost have to do the puzzle so you can take a picture to prove to the buyer. It's a lot of work and hardly worth it fod the vast majority of puzzles you'll find.
