Man, OCCULT METAL is just KILLING it right now, as a genre or subgenre, there are so many great new acts just swaggering across the scene right now, and this is one of them, along with LUCIFER as well, it's a GOLDEN AGE of proto, Heavy stuff, more, please!
How have I overlooked this band? I've heard Jess and the Ancient Ones, Uncle Acid, Purson, Mount Salem, and The Devil's Blood to name a few but this is my first time ever hearing this band. I have a new band I need to now listen to everything they ever made!
Their debut EP Free the Witch and first album Woodland Rites don't have any keyboard sounds on them. John Wright the keyboard/organist first appears on the Black Harvest (second album). All their music can be found on bandcamp.

Saw them live last night for the first time at KK'S in Wolverhampton, and was totally blown away! Im usually a metalcore fan but love anything rock/metal and ended up spending more than I should have on merch, whoops! 😂 Phenomenal live 👏

I have come to realize that it's way harder to write something catchy that it is to write something technical.
Technical playing can be learned over time. But creativity in making a catchy tune is just inspiration. It's not easy. I love a good solo and done bad ass drums but first I want a good melody.
I like this song.
But I will try to listen to there older stuff more to give it more chance. But I am especially interested in what this new album will have. Hopefully more stuff like this song.

Wow after all this time this is the first Green Lung song i don't like... As a track its great but remind me a lot the band Ghost...I miss the old Green Lung vibe...lets hope the other tracks from the new album remained close to the old style...

"the drudgeries of work and family". lol this sort of rebellion used to be charming in maybe the 60s but it's just a teenage attitude. we've been so infantlisised we're still obsessing over derssing slightly differently and rebelling against our parents.
meanwhile the fantastically liberal and advanced countries we live in are completely fucked because the number of adults in the room is dwindling. work and family is all that sustains civilisation.
we only have the freedom to be infantilised hedonists because of the hard work and birth rate of people who came before us. we're riding it into the ground so the future generations are fucked.
i love a bit of Green Lung but it's just starting to annoy me seeing this vibe everywhere i look.

Love the new Dracula-esque look Tom is rocking. I'd say musically it's their most mundane song so far, but the main theme reminds me of Coven's Black Swan which is quite nice. I'll be waiting for the album in hopes that they balance it out with something heavier. Maybe something along the lines of what Pagan Altar were doing with their music

Don't like the new song ,listen to the Graveyard album 6 - 100% better than this first single ...i am a little disappointed...this is my opinion all have a other ears to listen music and thats the greatest in the world...why when not we all would listen to new Pearl Jam what is the biggest crap for me at the last time from such a big band...or the Sacred album from The Obsessed my lord when I'm go back to 94 and listen one of the best doom metal albums of the world and then this...Sacred was a big disappoint to me to...keep on rocking guys many excuse for my rusted shiti English !¡¡!
