Yes. Freo are years off, GWS will most likely play finals every year for the next few years because their list is solid as it gets. Even with all the injuries and star players that have left. Freo have two or three players that they simply cannot live without they are far from a premiership list. Not to mention the coaching side of things.
It must be a tough pill to swallow for Callan Ward knowing the team he has captained since the beginning is going to play it's first ever grand final without him. Feel bad for guys like him, also Cogs if he doesn't get out there next week. Two of the best players in that team.

The Giants make their first grand final in 8 years in the making. It was the lowest scoring first half since 1912 however the pace was picked up and the pies almost came back but the giants held on with some great discipline in the backline

Collingwood tried to play too perfect in the wet - in the 2nd & 3rd quarters - instead of making it a slog; as a consequence they weren't able to score a goal in the 2nd & 3rd quarters. Loved the way Collingwood willed themselves back into the game in the last quarter though. GWS have shown true grit 3 games in a row now. Richmond have to be the favorites next week, but GWS have a real chance if they play like this....

Pies actually would of won if Mayne’s goal wasn’t a touch. They would of won by like two points. It was a really good match too.
Fabled .. They were also awarded a goal that was touched .. evened that out
With the draft concessions and all the other concessions like the Riverina it is really a bit of a failure that GWS haven't been dominating the AFL since the teams dominating the start of this decade (Hawthorn, Geelong and Sydney) fell away.
