Very strange to me that midwifes are a concept instead of the norm in America. I'm a nursing student in Australia planing on also becoming a midwife and everything being described as a benefit of a midwife in this video is the normal here and in the UK, doctors rarely get involved unless the birth becomes complicated in which case they are with you every step of the way and work with the midwife at all times and having free movement in labour is normal. Glad to see the midwifery is now catching on in America. Such a beautiful job, so rewarding for baby, mum, dad and midwife. Keep spreading the word, excited to see it become your norm as well :)
This was excellent! I am a hospital CNM, and felt like I was answering the questions simultaneously with the midwife on film!!! Well done!!!
