    I feel like Lersila is the only fighter I've seen who fights like how I always imagined martial arts are "supposed" to work (at least as far as my untrained eye can see) - like a chess game, where every position is interactive/connected from move to move, and it's about reacting with the right next move to shut down your opponent's play and come out at an advantage. Most MMA fights I feel like it looks more like just random poking until something happens to land, then turn into a mad scramble to punch the hell out of them while they're down.

  • @yorth8154
    @yorth8154 2 года назад +3

    Watching the two fight is such a pleasure. When one of them make a nice move, they acknowledge each other and smile, letting out a laugh or a high five. They don't take the fight so seriously as to take out the fun in it. They enjoy the moment and are still able to show us some amazing display of athleticism.

    This was a good highlight reel and Lerdsila definitely has great fight IQ but I’m not sure I would call it “entering the Matrix”. You might want to watch some of Lomochenko’s fights to see what “entering the matrix” looks like in striking and closer to home someone like Saenchai. Not taking away the high fight IQ of Lerdsila though cause that was some impressive reads and variety of responses but in terms of leaving the opponent in a world of confusion through dodging, it’s not quite Matrix level imo. Thanks for sharing though!

      It may be hard to believe, but this guy learned two things, one is from Bruce Lee, the other is from Doc Co Cau Bai (a fictional character in the novel by Chinese writer Kim Dung) as you said. flexible and chaotic. What he learned from Bruce Lee was "jeet kune do". What he learned from Doc Co Cau Bai is the truth "use no moves to win with the right moves". If it's a move, it can be countered, but if it's not played according to a move, there's no way to solve it.

    Обожаю бойцов из Тайланда. В их исполнении это великолепное боевое искусство выглядит таким естественным. Лердсила как жидкость. Ощущение будто он искривляет пространство чтобы увернуться от атаки. А его рекорд просто взрывает мозг.

    The title should be LEAVING the matrix...the whole point in the movie is transcending the reality that was engineered for us. Sorry but it just bothered me.

    Being 40 with these reflexes is impossible. He himself has said he doesnt move faster, only before the opponent moves.
    He has a high fight IQ, not fast reflexes. To say its the latter is to do injustice to his incredible mind.
