@Pawan ESXi Hosts are kind of infrastructure servers. I am not sure why would someone like to assign DHCP IPs to Infrastructure server. VMware also doesn't recommend to assign DHCP IPs to ESXi Host. In Test/Dev kind of environment you can assign DHCP IPs to ESXi host but it's never ever recommended in Production Environment.
@Amruth I have added additional network cards to esxi host later for teaming and failover purpose. Just to clarify, If you add only 1 network card, you will only see 1 vmnic in esxi adapter list. I hope it clarifies your doubt
