Damn that’s great. I’m a borough over. My Explore may not be fast enough to ride with you guys but it’d be sick to holla at people who love and have diff scooters nearby. That knowledge too, I suck at the fixing/technical piece lol but love love scooters.

I was with my scooter in Brooklyn sunday past, down by the gil hodgers bridge that go to far Rockaway and I saw a whole group of guys on cool scooters looking real cool and the last guy was video taping, question? Was that you guys making a left turn before the bridge? I was blown away..that looked cool as hell..lol

Really cool that guys shows how popular these scoots are getting . Here in the UK still totally illegal but I love my Dualtron Thunder even if I am off for a while for stupidly setting up my camera while riding and came off tearing into my shoulder muscle, The low back camera what did the shoot was very smooth , was it a GoPro 8 black ? loved the footage . NEED TO ASK how did you guys keep them charged up ? all day ride had to be more than 70 miles surely ?Have more fun guys keep the vids coming Ray K UK YNWA.

Wazzup Ray. Both cameras I use GoPro Hero 8 Black for front and back. Hypersmooth is activated and I record in 4k30fps. I carry 3 extra batteries with me when riding. Using Hypersmooth kills the batteries superfast since it is using electronics to stabilize the video instead of a gimbal. My memory cards last longer then the batteries, lol. Man, you guys sure know how to get around. Do you stop somewhere in between, and recharge, or do you go all the way from point A to point B? How long do the batteries typically last on the scooters? I would love to join you guys someday on a group ride. I have my own wheels, a make KK10S. I usually get around 50miles distance on it. probably more, if I keep it on eco and a single motor.
Wazzup Lou. We have group rides every weekend and even during the week for those that can make it. Normally a route is planned out ahead of time with multiple charging spots. Every scooter is different so batteries differ from scooter to scooter and user weight, terrain, weather, inclines etc. Most of our scooters last the whole trip if u come to the meet point charged up, some come from far away so they need to charge up prior to leaving and heading out for the ride. The Maike is a great scooter and will definitely be able to keep up and hang. This is my Dad's channel but I would goto my web page eastcoastscooters.com and all the links are listed there. We all use different types of chargers and accessories depending on setup. We mostly get it from Amazon. So many links it's hard to pinpoint but if u join our chat many people will answer and help u out.
Cool daze. Living in NYC can someone please inform me on what are good anti theft protocols for having a Dualtron in the city?
Well, first would be to never leave it out of ur sight or unattended for any amount of time. Kryptonite u lock would be ur best bet in slowing down the thief but it's not theft proof if u know what I mean. Always shut the main power switch. A disc rotor lock would be helpful as well since they wouldn't be able to wheel it away and it would need to be lifted which is very heavy to carry for extended amounts of time. Other then those few things just some common sense as well goes a long way. Good luck and join our chat on Telegram if u haven't yet already.

Electric scooters are a lot of fun. I usually ride it too. However, Japanese law is strict, so it is difficult. It's a very interesting channel! I am good at shooting videos. With love from Japan :)

I have two questions......
1. I'm 200lbs, how much range would I get on a Thunder?
2. Can you carry an extra battery and replace if you lose power?

Would love to have u join us for out next ride. Make sure u join our Telegram chat so u can stay updated on all events. Range really depends on a lot of factors. Weight of user like u said, terrain, single or dual motors, max settings on controller, weather etc. I would say around 40 to 50 miles give or take. Carrying an extra battery is not something people do. It's extremely heavy and while it can be done its not ez to do on the fly. Some people do get custom battery packs and attach them to the stem for extended range tho.
They have external battery pack that hook up to the rear of the scooter where you would put the back door rest and mudguard. They bolt up to the footrest connection and can give you extended range but they do take up deck space unless you get one of the luggage racks that sits above the rear wheel and mount the battery on that. It just plugs right into where you plug in your charger and scooter runs off that also

Great video! What's the going consensus for Helmets with dualtron owners? I see some wearing bike/skateboard helmets and some with motorcycle helmets. Which are the proper ones to wear if you are within traffic and cars and traveling above 30mph?? I'm currently looking for a helmet and don't know which to get. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

LOL, we were trying to reserve battery for the entire ride without charging and as it was I barely made it back to my car that nite b4 the battery died. I think I did like 37.5 miles that day.

Just brought a joyor Y9 escooter, 60v 26amp 55 miles range..plugged charger into scooter and a big sparked caused the charger tip to melt,question ,is there any place in NYC or Brooklyn that service electric scooters..thanks

@@roxio69 thank you for the quick response...yes,it is ,I been in contact with the the joyor company in China via email, I ordered another charger, but I don't think that's the problem I told them,do shock hazzard mean that I fried the scooter, they told me the spark was normal,but it was a big spark..just trying to avoid sending it back to china..had it just 13 days..I will open your link,thanks much sir..
@@wb7370 Hopefully no electronics got damaged internally, and glad you were ok. The "spark" doesn't sound normal, especially if it generated enough juice to melt the tip.
I would also check out that particular outlet now as well. Minimotors has 2 places in the USA. On the East and West coast. Minimotors NYC should be able to assist.
