I lived in Los Angeles from 1967 to 2021. My late husband's best friend was a California Highway Patrol (CHP) officer. He was responsible for helping to transport the police officers who were accused in the Rodney King trial to and from court. He said they were transported through tunnels underneath the courts, just like the guy said in this video. It is a common-knowledge secret in LA.

I recently saw an interview of a Starbucks employee. I believe they worked in LA, maybe more specific town but in LA. The person claimed they work at an underground Starbucks. Specifically, celebrities, politicians, and other elites, drive down there to avoid being seen and can stop at the Starbucks, free of charge. They spoke as if this was no big deal, just a job they go to everyday they have to get paid extra for keeping those secrets..
Honestly it's not like it's impossible.

Jamal I lived in LA a couple of decades and yeh, a lot of us knew about this in some way or other. Some people are always explorers of where we live and grow up. A lot of these areas were blockaded (at least to the unknowing general public) and some had been blocked off by earthquakes or other means. There were others where (if uninitiated one was stopped by scary security types.) An artist friend of mine who began the 'gentrification' of downtown LA found an old speakeasy under the building he rented for cheap as all that when downtown was a 'ghost town' at the turn of the century. Do a search, there are a number of vids exploring some of the tunnels. While others remain 'no entry' to those not in the club.

Petroleum is a naturally occurring yellowish-black liquid mixture. It consists mainly of hydrocarbons, and is found in geological formations. The term petroleum refers both to naturally occurring unprocessed crude oil, as well as to petroleum products that consist of refined crude oil.

Hello friend, I wanted to clear up a common misconception. Petroleum is a dark, thick oil obtained from under the ground and made into fuels such as gas and heating oil, and used in making plastics, it is also used in VASELINE, I think that's what you are thinking of because the jar says "Petroleum Jelly" , but petroleum is just an ingredient along with is a mixture of mineral oils and waxes. Big Fan! ~ Beth Ann

Andrew Carnegie had tunnels constructed from his steel main all the way to his very first Carnegie Library and Music Hall located in Braddock, PA. The tunnels were used by executives to get to the baths, billboards, bowling alley, cigar parlor and other amenities for the privileged during that time period.

An yeah first thing I thought of too when seeing that bricked up tunnel tunnel I wonder how hard it would be to open that back up? Like how many layers of brick is it just one layer of brick or what? Just get a couple of broken or a couple of them loose and start pulling those puppies out indeed

But now we have subways above and below ground .Tunnels we used to cross the streets as a kid but most of them are locked. There's one by the Hollywood bowl they open when there's events

There are tunnels in Seattle ( where the origins of the name "skid row"). Portland has them as well. When I worked on Colorado's state Capitol I have worked in the tunnels below. The small guage railroad tracks are still the there but not usable. I have been told they run to the brown palace a former Masons lodge and beyond.
