Look at all those different patterns form different decades! My grandmother used to sew all my mom's dresses in the 50's. In the 80's, when I was growing up, my best friend wore dresses her mom made. She always looked so much cuter than the rest of us 😄
That is awesome! I appreciate you sharing that with me! Have a great day!!🫶🏻
I loved looking at all your old patterns. So much fun!
Glad you like them! Have a great day!🫶🏻
love all the older patterns. thanks for sharing
Thank you! It was very nostalgic looking at them. Thank you for being here!🫶🏻
I was part way through watching this last night and it disappeared! Glad to see you again this morning 🥰
Good morning! Yes, the complete video didn't load, and I had to re-upload it and fell asleep before I made it public again. 😂I appreciate you stopping by! 🫶
@@MimiMakesKeepsakes Always! I love seeing your makes and spending time with you 🥰
I enjoyed looking thru the patterns. Made me wanna go dig out my stash!
I do recognize one you have that I definitely have.
The little dress on front is orange with artist pallet on it.
My daughter is now 14 but when she was one my two Aunts sent me that pattern , saying it was from some distant Aunt down the road. lol
Yep, I’m originally from MS., and the Aunts have never left!
I really enjoy the content variations, everyone crocheting same thing and talk about same yarn sales. Does get old as much as we love it!
🫧🫧up.
Good morning! Going through the patterns was nostalgic for me. I still have my mom and one aunt and uncle left on my mama’s side. I sure do miss them. Did you make the little dress? It seemed I inherited everyone's patterns. Love it! Have a great day. 🫶🏻
I remember some of those patterns. Some I think my mom still has. My mom used to make us nightgowns at Christmas. I hate sewing or crocheting clothes. I hate having to try them on, myself or someone else. When my boys were little I made button down shirts for them. I found a pattern that fit them and no try-ons needed. I would buy men's shirts at the thrift store and remake them for my boys.
What a great idea to repurpose men's shirts and such sweet memories of handmade Christmas nightgowns!! Oh yes, I remember having to be still and Mama pining a dress or hem and apologizing for sticking me with pins. Sweet memories. Thank you for sharing!!🥰
Wow some of the prices on those patterns 65 cents and $1.25 , wow .15 cents that is crazy.
I wish I had my mother's makes and patterns.
Happy stitching❤🤗
Hugs- I know!! The prices! I need another baby granddaughter to use those little dress patterns.🩷 have a great day!
Very nostalgic Marsha ❤️ I made my girls a bit of clothing when they were little.. matching of course 😂😂 Gosh there were some patterns there that reminded me of The Brady Bunch and Little House on the Prairie 😍
Yes, definitely the Bradys and Leave it to Beaver. Thanks for sharing!!🥰
I have been online searching for 80s patterns. My sister was the sewer so she has a lot - even those I used for 4-H. Won some ribbons at the county fair for some wild print outfits 😂
Wow!! You won for your sewing! That's great! My kids were in 4H but didn't sew. They did shooting sports, my girls did modeling (I never really understood that one), and seed ID. Gotta love the 80’s.😁🎀
@@MimiMakesKeepsakes Mom insisted that we do all of the crafts that our aunt and siblings did, plus baking. And pigs. 🐷 Sewing was interesting but I had my sister watching over my shoulder the entire time. I bet when I relearn it this winter it will be less stressful LOL!
I recently went to Jo Ann's fabrics and purchased a pattern. Regular price on it was $23.96 for a Simplicity. Thank goodness it was a door buster deal for much less.
Yes!! I bought a couple of new patterns from Walmart, and when I went to the register, they were a lot cheaper, around eight dollars, than the 18 and 20 that were on the package. Have a great day!🥰
