    I was told it meant Vertical Helical Scanning...Oh well.
    I have the 830 model with the "jog shuttle" dial on the right for editing.

    There are so many different types of the Slv systems... there are SE - E - F... i just wanted a VCR here in Germany that can play me Ntsc on a Pal Tv and now iam lost... I guess i get a SE system but which one to get? 70? 70D? 700? 650? what tha hell?!
    Anybody can help out overseas with a oversight? What would the best 2 get?

    The end of the line VHS players were absolutely shit quality if you need a decent player recorder you need to go early 90s ...

      and they have all exhausted their resources. mechanics and heads have only 5-7 thousand operating hours. in the early 90s (before the dvd era) VCRs were very intensive
