You are actually really quite good at this game, the trouble is you doubt yourself to much. Even before the last patch you were keeping up with orders and in this episode you were on top of it all. But you do over prepare in panic, if you look at your customer count it is between 15/20 without the drive through. So laying all those burgers and then doubling on chicken explains your waste not the game, instead you should half your burgers and do the same with the chicken. With the lower difficulty you don’t lose customers, and actually you have a good routine check the order off, do the burger then the drinks ice cream etc and send. Watch your videos back with the sound off you will see you can actually do it, don’t become obsessed with waste look at your customer count look at your menu and prepare accordingly. It would be a shame if you don’t come back to this game, but I do believe if you change your mind set whilst playing it you will enjoy it more.
i agree... as i play i make changes to the way i do things also and i find myself enjoying it more if i justr adjust my gameplay a little bit. it takes some time but this game is very fun to play even alone
a good way to do it so your not wasting to much food is the way i do it i cook 3 trays of beef burgers then just cook 2 baskets of chicken burgers and cook 2 baskets of frys then 1 basket of chicken nuggets i have it set on easy mode so if i run out of burgers i can cook more wile people are waiting
I would like to see them bring in a dress station to keep the veggies cold. I’d also like to see them make the burgers and fries go bad for sitting for an hour or longer maybe 2 hours. maybe then my friends and I would play! Never would I buy just to play solos!
it called fast food its not called make a burger and let it sit on a counter for hours till you get a order. just make them as they come no waste and that how normal places work. they do tend to cook fries early
Damn you for making me sensitive about the food waste issue! 😜Watched your first three or four episodes, tried the free version, liked it a lot, then bought the full version and played for a while. Took your approach of putting away the leftover food on the drive-thru window so that it doesn't go to waste, all was fine and dandy. Then I switched to easy mode / 12 minute shift, because I was getting stressed out by impatient costumers. And now I'm frustrated with the game for the same reasons as you: the more items being put on the menue (which, unlike you, I generally like: no fast food joint sells burgers only), the less burgers I am able to sell due to the extra time it takes to get all of those items. And now I can't even donate the surplus prepared food any more, but I have to throw it in the bin, which is so annoying! So I stopped playing the game for now. I do like your suggestion of opening the shop 24/7, but in any case I will not come back to it until I'll be able to hire more employees. I'm a single player, so I would need to hire at least three additional cashiers who would put in and collect the orders, whilst I would try and manage the kitchen. Otherwise, this game is no fun, Anyhow, thank you a lot for your Let's plays, I love how you do them and your honesty, much appreciated!
There have been arguments made for preparing items and doing much less preparing in regards to waste...if I stand in your corner on the issue, it would be great if they had a option to donate to a shelter at the end of the night to usefully serve the overage..maybe garner some extra points for being aware of community's needs... Either way I still think the staffing issue is the big problem...with an additional cook/preparer less could be made ahead of time and more made as needed to reduce the end of night waste...and for those whinning about food sitting for 8 hours..guess what..no store runs full tilt the entire day and the break in customers allows new items to be made fresh..sheesh... Well Jolly..better you than me in this fantasy...carry on...
Jolly in real life the burgers are made only just a ten twelve ahead for the busiest shift. Such as lunch. Then they are stuck in a test of broth under a heat lamp. The thing is in the America we have tight regulations on precooked food. They have stay at a regulated temp for I can’t remember but 45 minutes and after that time we are required by law to toss food. As not to risk making people sick. Fries well you know that heat lamp makes them dry nasty after a bit. I mean I would love to see all of that feed the hungry too. But restaurants are very regulated. Not to be disrespectful of your beliefs. Cus I do get it. But it is a game. Just make one counter side hamburger and one side chicken. Make 4 baskets of fries and don’t stress being perfect. When you get down or disappointed in a game it’s very palpable through the screen. Point is have fun. When yore having fun who cares about the screw ups. You just adjust what you cook by the numbers you sell. If it increases you just cook a few more. Cheer up…
you shouldnt cook too many fries, beef and chicken because its gonna be a lot of waste, for me I cook 8 beef,8 chicken and 2 set of fries only, so its gonna be perfect customers
I think that the food wastage issue isn’t really an issue, that is part of the game, learning to balance pre-cooking/cooking to order and the amount of food. I think other arguments are valid but that one I dont really agree with and think the food wastage is on you and not the game. Many restaurants are not 24/7 and have to balance things like this so it is not. I think given this mode you could get away with only a little prep but it should be obvious that as new items are released you wont know the demand for them and how the demand impacts other items so will have to make some guesses and decisions based on those. Fair enough if you would like to play it 24/7 maybe that could be an option but I think it is completely reasonable to have that as not an option too and that it is your personal preference not a major issue with the game.
I could be wrong, but I don't think there are many. if any, 24 hour fast food restaurants here in the UK. And I am sure when they all opened up they had quite a bit of waste until they got use to the amount of customers they could expect. And I expect they all get a bit of waste now, but less than they did because they would now have a rough idea of how much they need to have ready. I am no where near as far in the game as you are, so not as much experience. But as soon as I saw all those burgers I thought you were being optimistic in your sales expectations. I think if I were where you are in the game I would only cook eight of each burgers, and two, maybe three bags of fries. And as I now play in easy mode, much easier for solo player, I would cook anything else needed when needed. It is annoying and frustrating when playing on our own the way that they have done some of the things, but the waste I think is mainly us needing to adjust what we prepare before we open to the potential foot flow going by sales in the previous days. And I expect if we do well and our reputation increases that brings in even more feet through the doors, so good for us in a way, but not in another lol. I have only seen a couple of your videos so far, but I have enjoyed them and subscribed. And I look forward to seeing more, thanks for doing them.
I won't be getting this game while the custom burger orders are there, it doesn't happen. If we can make set order items then I will get it. Maybe an option to change to a set menu or have custom orders
I still wish I could afford to spend the $ on this game I'm desperate for something to play besides Recycle Center that I've had forever. I'm disabled and am on a very limited budget. I've even emailed the dev to see if they'd float me a key but haven't gotten a response. Oh well ..

We need a burger warmer storage area like they do irl. Big table full of burgers just looks stupid

You could do half a box of each patties- one bag of fries each size and go from there possibly 🤷♀️
