- This is the best devlog ever lol.
In this video I start working on a new project, an MMORPG in roblox! If you enjoy leave a like and sub so I can feed my family plz.

It's because of demonetization. RUclips demonetizes channels when they say or show something that relates to violence.
You should make the sword swipe from right to left, not from top to bottom. Just a friendly tip. (And add an option to close player list)

8:10 part cache, use part cache module or create one to clone goblins 1000 times and just set their CFrame when they are needed, because cloning stuff can be laggy. when the goblins die, just teleport a temporary corpse and send the goblin back to its cache position with max health, when goblin spawns just teleport it to spawn position, also dont forget to reset the corpses after 15 seconds or something so there is always some of them in the cache
rather than cloning 1000, it would be better to find all the spawn points in the workspace for the goblins and the amount of spawn points = goblins cloned and then make it so once a goblin is killed it simply respawns rather than being recloned
@@InternetDweller yeah if a spawner can spawn max 3 goblins and there is 20 spawners than having 70 (10 extra to prevent bugs) would be enough

I assume the reason for the goblin spawn lag is that you keep the moon animator anim saves inside them. Depending on how complex the anims is / what easing styles you used those can contain thousands of parts. I suggest deleting / putting them somewhere else so the game does not have to clone a thousand parts.
This deserves a sub like I’ve been looking for original games and fun games and this looks like it will be a great rpg

You can add more enemies, weapons, (a bow would be really good) a store, gamepasses, more maps (like a abandoned town or mine)A village were you can buy stuff and find people that can give you quests, a tutorial, easter eggs, bosses (like a master goblin or somthing) food you can eat to recover life, and a stamina bar.

this looks sweet man i like everything tho i do recomend to change the animation a bit so it looks smoother and make the gravejard a bit bigger but altough that its a very good start for a new mmorpg game

Character customization, races , classes , boon and flaws , etc... add all of those and more . My favourite part of an rpg is the individuality and uniqueness of everyone
I freaking love rpgs so whenever I hear that a rpg is getting developed I go crazy but in all seriousness im incredibly hyped for this
Hopefully there will be more then just killing goblins, levels for different skills in the game would be cool
heres an idea for Devlog 2. I think you should add a tavern like you said which is a shop where you can purchase maybe healing potions or new swords with the coins you get from killing goblins. Every area could have a new tavern which gives better loot the farther you are in the game.

In the future you should make it so the items/coins the goblins drop fall on the floor and then the player sucks them up when close to them, other than that really cool devlog

I suggest you change the healthbar at the top to an xp bar but who knows if your still continueing this project. You can add more depth and detail later on most people who i see make rpg games giveup half way 😅

This type of thing is great to see. I would however recommend you only allow one goblin from each of 4 (or so) spawnpoints rather than have 10 from the same location. The next goblin should only respawn once the goblin from that spawnpoint has been *Eliminated*
I hope you add achievements which can reward coins if the players complete it and the reward increases depends on difficulty of the achievement also add secret ones where in the list of achievement it won't appear and there will be a letter to the player screen about keeping it secret if the player found it, the players must explore the game more themselves or with their friends to make so that the players who actually explore and put more time playing your game get rewarded, the rewards on secret ones doesn't need to be game breaking, just enough to give them a pretty big boost at their game like a good weapon or a secret skill for a specific class
You can put dashes with invencibility frames, like dark souls

Make a death animation, like your character explodes and there are energy sparks emerging from you then it turns into a ball then it travels back to spawn and it respawns you
If you're taking suggestions I'd like to recommend adding kobalds as an enemy. I've never seen a roblox game include kobalds so it would be pretty neat. even if you don't add them I wish your game the best of luck

A way to make the sword swings look cleaner is by making them swing from right to left and some more particles like a streak of air behind it
i'd like to be a bug tester for the game? i'm prtty good at finding glitches and bugs
also i have ideas:
settings: basically you can change stuff like turn of music and sound effects
keybinds: you can open the menu with E or something, trading with T and quests with something else
story mode and open world: story mode is basically the main thing, the thing that you're doing rn and open world is like there are enemies, quests and bosses all around a huge world
building: you can build stuff
i loved wizard101 as a kid, i hope this game turns out well.
As a hypixel skyblock player, Im happy that someone if finally making a game inspired by it i hope you put a lot of the combat elements in hypixel skyblock there.
alr so my idea is to make the sword a quest. make a graveyard janitor quest giver, who will give you a quest for the goblin sword. basically kill 3 goblins to get the 3 sword pieces. then make the janitor assemble the sword pieces and you get a sword. also the current sword hit effects look like an impact instead of a slash so i would say move the current particles to the fists and get some slashing particles and give them to the sword
This is kind of a suggestion, but I think it would be cool if a gui popped up and showed your balance increasing when you earn coins, kind of like in Fallout

To fix the goblin lag stuff: this might not work but maybe try loading each part on the goblin instead of spawning all the parts

Try making a folder for the Goblins in the workspace, spawn them inside of that folder and put one AI script inside of the folder that manages all of the goblins. This will make it less laggier.

tbh the location for the script to handle all goblin pathfinding could be interchangable for anywhere else you'd wanna use a serverscript, but the idea is there, plus to make it less laggy there doesn't need to be any actual pathfinding, just a function to update the state of the nearest player, if the nearest player is close enough to the goblin then make it chase the player, but if the player is a certain distance away from either the goblin then it goes back to the spawn position using a simple humanoid:MoveTo(pos)
It would be cool if like there are desert theme enemy’s that have bow and arrows but like they can have poison or fire effect and when you kill them they drop it, ik it’s a lot but that would be really cool and I love ur vids their funny and make me want to build games myself!

Idea for game: If you add an levelingup system, can you try make it like every 40 levels you need to defeat a dungeon and when you defeated it all the enemys also become stronger so you dont leave a area forever.

make the game like that of exile or albion where it doesn’t have a typical class system but it’s more free instead and like path of exile u could add skill tree that gives things like + projectiles to spells ect
adding a healthbar to the top seems redundant, since there's already a healthbar over the player's head. maybe exclude them from seeing the overhead one
