I have been doing FBA for 3 months now and I would definitely recommend you use larger boxes for UPS. You can put up to 63 x 63 x 63 and the cost is the same as a smaller box. So for your sales you might have saved upto 60/70% on ups fees.
I been doing this for a few months, pretty much made most of the same mistakes as you have, jumping right in to Amazon is the best way to learn 100%. You will soon learn to think outside the box as every man and his dog sources in B&M, HB, TK Maxx etc and when you analyse the deal at the time it may look good but these are national stores & everyone else is doing the same thing so you will end up either in a price war or sitting on stock. Also avoid deal sheets as they look great at the time but same thing happens. You have to find the hidden gems & be a lone wolf in FBA. The gems are there. I have been buying a Video Game for £30 in a national store & selling it for £69.99 on Amazon. I have sold 25 units & not one other person is doing it. Keep it up mate & share more videos :)
Been studying up on Amazon fba for a minute now and I'm glad I got recommended your video. Seriously, you seem like the average joe and you gave a good job explaining every little step you took and it all felt inspiring. Props on the video man. Subbed. 👍
Just started sending in our own branded goods to Amazon FBA, so will see how it goes! I like the idea of the protection that the Amazon Trademark Registry gives however so no one can copy or piggyback similar items without us being able to take legal or official actions under the laws of infringement/passing off, also important to note we registered designs for our goods to reinforce the protecton, but we sell in a specialised market of goods, now moving into clothing
@@whocares5188 Sorry, not quite sure what you mean, if you could elaborate further I can answer that, we obviously have our own brand and registered trademark to ensure Amazon controls the distribution channel so only we sell our own goods, and obviously on eBay it's a case of protecting IP which have found to be very important
@@kitpimp I think he means that all beginners are gated (not able) to sell anything. However if you are ungated in a certain category you're able to sell products from that category.
Really informative and honest video, thanks! Really makes me think I made the right decision by developing my own product and building my own brand. Really hard work during the research and design phase, and getting the first few sales and reviews, but I've never had to touch a box or label... or had my room full of boxes!
Nice to find a honest video - there are so many Amazon videos on here going on about making £1,000,000, a month. I’ve made loads of mistakes selling on Amazon
Reading through the comments I think a lot of people are getting arbitrage sales and wholesale mixed up it puts people off I think, good informative video well done 👏🏼
Learned about undercutting: sell early, other sellers sell your product cheaper and you either have to hold onto the product longer to sell cheaper too and forecasting: people buy lawn water slides in summer.
Might be a dumb question but do you have to take "professional" pictures of you product which will be displayed for customers to see on the website? Just wondering how that aspect works.
You’re a real inspiration your videos. Especially like your ones talking about Amazon flex which I am seriously considering doing. Keep up the great video as mate. Cheers 👍
Honestly I’ve been looking at FBA for a while and you’ve explained it so well, thank you mate. Just a quick question with the barcodes how do I print the stickers?
New subscriber here🙌 So far the best video I have seen. Can you please tell me if you hire someone to take the pictures of the product for you or do you take pictures yourself?
Awesome video. Just a quick question. Let's say I want to start my own brand of kitchen knives. I order them from a manufacturer (china). But I want to differentiate myself. Do I tell the manufacturer to modify the item, or do I just create my own label and packaging and sell that?
Hey you have to create your own brand and register that brand on Amazon, then you can sell that product yourself but you will have to run ads etc to get customers to see and buy your product.
Great video, when trying to register for FBA, it asks for company registration and VAT number, so i'm assuming i'll need to set up a LTD company and register for VAT, or is there a way round this ?
If you from UK i think you dont need to register for VAT till you start making money over +£85,000 a year , but im not sure amazon when i had my e-commerance brand thats what i been told

Hi mate. Thanks for sharing your experience.. I'm trying to open FBA account and amazon keeps rejecting my application asking me to update my bank account details. Look for a product that will fix a solution for people, looking on trending TikTok products etc and use organic marketing for the beginning for a higher profit margin
do i need to have a LLC or Wholesale license to do this ? also where do i get labels for the boxes so i can ship them to the amazon fulfillment center? lots of questions!!

can anyone help me I had to send an order into Amazon out of my own pocket due to hazardous material not being shipped by UPS had to use yodel is there anyway I can get a reimbursement for the shipping costs to Amazon fulfillment I'm in the UK
Hi .. thanks for the informative video .. just wondering if ur based in the UK ? Asking with regards to if the selleramp works in the UK ? Trying to figure out a good app that works in the UK .. thanks
I hate FBA for all the reasons you described. It is always such a disappointment! I much prefer using an FBM /dropshipping model for a quick turnaround
This technically isn’t real Fba, it’s arbitrage. FBA technically is sending wholesale amounts to amazon directly from the manufacturer (usually alibaba). You would have made more by doing pure FBM in this case. There is a way to calculate which is better on the same page for adding a product. I do FBM and eBay, and just started FBA.
Let me know if you want to see more Amazon videos 👌

If you don’t like putting the SKU stickers on mate.. I’m pretty sure you can get Amazon to do it for like 10/15p an item?
Yes I think you can will probably do that in the future 👍🏼
