As a Native Southerner with 250 plus years of Heritage here in The Blue Ridge Mountains of Southern Virginia, and I have many Confederate Ancestors on both sides of my Family, I APPROVE THIS SONG. Yes my friends, I BET HEAVEN IS LIKE DIXIE..........Thanks LORD JESUS!!
I always knew I had family in the confederacy but last year I got my proof and im.pround of it.yes in had family in Northern armies as well but im.pround of my southern roots
Given the United States federal government pretty much just declared every lover of Dixie to be an enemy of the state by removing the Arlington Reconciliation Monument, this song came at the perfect time. Every rebel soldier was a human being who loved his family and was loved by his family, just like any American soldier today. It's times like these, when we and our ancestors are treated this way by our own country that the world needs to be reminded that we're people and that we bleed red, white, and blue. They'll never put an end to us and our heritage. Never forget the people you came from, especially the fact that they were people from Dixie, like you and me.
I was misplaced in the north but was lucky enough to grow up in a small town and have many deep roots in Virginia. I'm proud to say my family fought hard and some died for the cause of the Confederacy no matter what someone thinks that looks like. This country has beaten us down time and time again but they can never break us. Dixie lives on in spirit forever! Freedom or death!
South Jersey here and I surely do. I feel complete in the South and will be making my permanent home there soon. Been years but i lived in Dixie for some time. I had many family members fight for the Confederacy and I won't let them be forgotten as long as this misplaced Rebel lives!
@@rjay7019Yeah, my great-grandfather died just north of Atlanta, fighting for the Confederacy. My sister loves to talk about how he died fighting for what he believed in. Unfortunately, I am a history major, and have access to the records, and looked him up. The man was selling slaves up the Mississippi river. Specialized in "Domestics", young, light skinned slave girls. He may have been fighting for what he believed in, but that thing was monstrous. The Confederacy was an abomination of human misery and suffering, and while certainly not all the people fighting for the south were terrible people, my great-grandfather definitely was, and the cause was rotten to the core.
I'll be 43 in February and have been blessed with 2 grandfather's that are still in my life, one turns 93 in a few months and the other turns 95. I am sitting at work with other men and this song literally brought me to tears just thinking of the two men, I can't not mention the wonderful women they were both married to for just over 70 yrs but I lost those sweet ladies in the past few yrs..... I hope to be half the man these men are and the legacy they have created.
Damn, between hearin the song and readin your comment, brought a tear to my eye. Makes you really think about things for sure, anyhoo, I wish you a wonderful 43rd and may 2024 treat you well bud, god bless from ole Carolina.
Creed- yer killin me brother. Your music rips my guts out. I long for the time when Dixie was nothin to be ashamed to say and to be a Rebel was still ok. May Almighty God bless yer path son. Just plain, honest awesome music.
Wow! Excellent song Mr Fisher brought me back to my childhood and the good old days spending quality time with my grandpa he was a p.o.w in WW2 and didn’t talk much about it except for food was very scarce I sure do miss that man every day,he taught me a lot as a child and at the time I didn’t even realize it but now that I’m pushing 60 I realize that he taught me many of life’s lessons. 🇺🇸

Creed, we miss you here in North Texas. I keep an eye on your tours. I sure miss the good old days. As much as I hated working in Austin, the only saving grace in 2018 was hanging out with the boys at Canyon Lake and Post 8573. When you are up this way swing by Post 9190 in Haltom City just NE of Fort Worth you might be surprised who you know there.
I'm from Germany. Wear buckle and tattoo with csa flag. Respect all people of color but since shootings in USA with csa flag, they say here, I'm a Rassist. I hear country and blues, like v8... People are stupid by their thinking
In a song written from deep inside every time you listen you hear something you didn't hear the first time you heard it. That's no bullshit. This song of Creeds is deep. Love it. He's southern.

Thank u Fisher! My grandpa fought in Iwo in WW2 and came back round 45 with a purple heart. The daily times here in MD did an article on him on front page. Was titled "one man's war remembered". God bless our soldiers ! They keep us safe so we can live free in lands such as Dixie. Merry Christmas everyone. Be safe

Some of the best memories of my life, fishing with my grandfather. We nicknamed him “Eagle Claw” because of his big hands. Full of wisdom, tough as nails, took no crap from anyone. We sure could use a few more like him today. They just don’t make ‘em like him anymore. Miss you, love you PaPa…..
Canadian here and I fly the Rebel flag in my business shop always still even after they try to make it racist. We don’t care. Stay strong don’t let them change us

You know what's really sad now DAY'S. Alot of these grandchildren today are not taught to look up to or respect their elders. 😥
And don't even care about our ancestors and forefathers and what they fought and died for 😢
