I have CE516P, I dumped the ROMs and did little bit of reverse engineering (e.g. what is connected to which MCU port).
I also have 3 or 4 of Mera Poltik's "clones" of CE515P, the MDG-1/MDG-116 (they were based on the Z80 though, not on the Hitachi's version of Motorola's 6803).

Alps is something of a brave (or possibly foolish) company. They're the only ones who brought out printers with white ink at a price point suitable for amateurs.. They were the bee's knees for making custom decals. Too bad literally nobody but that small niche market had any use for a printer that could actively print white.

This printer looks an awful lot like the Radio Shack CGP-115 Color Graphics Printer as far as the connectors go. I think it even uses the same print mechanism.

The MCP-40, the mid-sized one shown uses the same mechanism as the CGP-115. Both PCBs are also made by Alps but are not the same.
The Sharp CE-515P uses a larger Alps mechanism. Similar but not the same.

You might be able to "fix" that cracked gear with a spring collar?

I show how to do that in a video a few months ag, and it would work in this case. Some of the gears also break at the spring perches and can't be fixed like this. Hopefully the 3D printed ones will work well. More testing on those today.
