Hey Aj! following your channel along with CFAI curriculum in my own journey is very refreshing and motivating! Thank you again for great source of relevant topics and information.
This channel is very helpful. I failed the July Level 1 exam by the slimmest of margins, but even the studying for just level 1 made me realize the change in my productivity. I am still not sure whether I want to continue or not. Thank you for the great insight, its making me reconsider.
Currently, L3 candidate and I got a senior corporate financial analyst position for the biggest bank in my country. I had no real experience at all and the requirements included a master's degree which I don't have. The CFA is totally worth it.
I haven't seen the vid but I say it 's worthy, really change my mind and level of knowledge. As long as you focus on the thing it teach you not just passing the exam
that x years of experience should not be tied to the CFA. I make that much 5 years in, without CFA charter (although I do have L2 cleared). Just like getting into Harvard is not the reason someone becomes smart, getting $X in salary is not related to CFA charter.
engineering and O&G investment banking go hand in hand. CFA L2 cleared is enough. seen someone do it, and get in at the VP level (with 6 years of engineering experience).
@@straighttalks-ajsrmek323 right. he also knew someone. that was the deciding factor. there was high demand for engineers at his firm. dont need to believe me. it doesnt affect me at all.
Umm.. I made 1000% on GME and AMC in a month vs I've been studying 2 years so far (I'm at level II) to EVENTUALLY and hopefully make 15-20% at some random Asset Management Firm for someone else AND there's probably policy restrictions to trade my own personal account.... Worth it if you want to be knowledgeable and get about 20%-30% more in salary, but maybe not worth it if you want to actually make money in the markets on your own
After my Masters of science in Chemistry, I'm pursuing CFA L1 in May 2022.. I hope it would be more helpful for a better journey and for more opportunities.?

CFA institute should provide campus placement
@Nishu Boi yes, i know that, but CFA isn't MBA college. CFA should try and organise it.
@Nishu Boi that's what i am saying, had there been campus placement by CFA institute it would have been so much better
Good way to change one's life
Definitely!!!

Hey AJ which softwares are you using daily at work?
Outlook, salesforce CRM, excel, microsoft teams, Thompson brokerage platform.
engineering and O&G investment banking go hand in hand. CFA L2 cleared is enough. seen someone do it, and get in at the VP level (with 6 years of engineering experience).
I don't think so, no. IB just requires a very specific resume to get in.

Hey Aj,does undergrad in commerce and cfa charter a good combination for job rolls in Ib or investment banking rolls?
Probably not. Usually you want to go with finance or investing to get into IB.
@@straighttalks-ajsrmek323 Will mba add up to crack the job role?
@@Finance527 Yes, that could help!

why would you even work or study cfa if you can consistently earn money on market by own anyway
