Great track; synthesizer music defined the time, 1983 was my first year of high school. Like every old person life seemed better back then and in many ways it was; who'd think it used to be kids would be riding bikes all over town and out until midnight and their parents were okay with it, no phones or checking in. Or working hard and being a decent person could get you ahead. The Cyndi Lauper meets Road Warrior fashion aesthetic was just becoming mainstream so yeah some things didn't age well but the kids just wanted to break out of the box and try different things. And MTV, it's hard to believe there was ever a time when music videos were seen as not only serious artistic expression but also an alternative way for bands to get noticed.
The music has hints of Tangerine Dream and Dream Academy. I'm picturing the climactic scene from Planes Trains and Automobiles when Neal runs back to find Del sitting in the train station. The image you chose reminds me of The Terminator when Reese first arrives. Good choices and great composition.
