In this video I talk a little about how shabby chic decor has changed over the years. There are a few different styles of shabby chic, but the cottage style is my favorite. I have some great ideas to get the look for spring. 💗

My heart is exactly the same. The emphasis of the beautiful rose or lilac, and all the beautiful muted colors and the simplicity.
Thanks for watching 💗💗💗
These were some cool ideas and they turned out so cute!!😊
Thanks Ginger 💗
The hankies on the lampshade are beautiful. My grandmother used to send me handkerchiefs for my birthday with her crochet edging around them. This gives me an idea. I don’t want them to sit and rot in a drawer. Thanks. Love your videos.
That is awesome! Thanks for watching 💗
All you do is the decor I love… thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much Sheila 💗
I am so glad you did a Shabby Chic. That is my jam. My favorite is Shabby Chic , French country. The colors are my favorite. Love pastels.
Hi Becky! Thanks so much 💗
Beautiful projects! Love them. Tyfs
Thank you so much! 💗
These were some of the cutest transformations I have ever seen! The Bible cover was such a good idea and turned out beautiful! And I am going to definitely try your lampshade ideas! Awesome job! 🥰
Thank you so much!! 💗
Menos mal qué te remangas el el segundo proyecto 😅
I love all these. I have 2 lamp shades I need to transform. I'm redoing my bedroom into shabby chic and these will be perfect for my dresser lamps. I'm redoing a child's badly worn violin to place there as well. Thank you for sharing all these. Have plans now for my hat boxes as well.
Sounds great! Thanks Barbara 💗
Thanks for sharing. Your projects were all gorgeous!! I am so in love with shabby chic decor ❤

Great video. Thank you for your bright ideas and projects.
Glad you like them! 💗
The show Shabby Chic was me and my mom’s favorite decor show. I always dreamed of a shabby chic home and now i have it ! love the content !
There was a show? I would have loved it! 💗
All are awesome !! 🌹🌹🌹
Thanks so much 😊
Oh these are ALL so pretty! I just love your ideas! Would never have thought of using a lamp shade! Thank you for the inspiration!
Thank you so much! 💗
You know how much I love shabby chic. That Bible is beautiful and I love that hat box and I know the struggles with those paint inlays. They're easy enough once you know what you're doing, but I remember having some issues when I first did my paint inlay beautiful job overall. Have a great weekend sweet friend
Hi Annie! I’ll be trying those inlays again sometime. 💗
Love 'Shabby Chic'...
Love the “more shabby chic” projects ❤❤❤
Thanks Lisa 💗
Thank you, I love your projects! I had the idea of giving some sort of box with little gifts to my church sisters for Mother's day and now I will make prayer boxes from your prayer card project. 🙂
Oooo that will be so cute! 💗
Oh my!! This is my favorite video, since I started following you and watching your videos. The Bible cover is just breathtaking to me. But I also love the paint in lay as well. And girl, if I had a nickel for every project I threw away and then retrieved from the trash can, I could support your channel and my small business!!! But I always learn something when I mess them up. Lol. These were all just beautiful. Please do more shabby chic. You are so good at these projects. Have a great week.
Thank you so much Lana! The Bible cover was my favorite 💗
I love the transfer lampshade.
Thank you 💗
The IOD transfer looks amazing on the lamp shade, and it's my favorite. I didn't know the transfers would attach to a texture like that. Very nice!
Hi Georgia! They were easy to transfer to the shade but I was afraid they might come off so that’s why I mod podged them. 💗
@@thedistressedprincessdiy I haven;t tried them, but of the ones I've seen used - the lamp shade is my fave. Where were the kittens today, were they busy? lol
Oh they were around. You can see some whiskers and tails here and there in the video. 🐾🐾🐾
Girl! I love loved your Bible! What an awesome idea!! I loved everything in today’s video!! But now let’s talk about those IOD Paint Inlays. Lol. I could just imagine us 2 crafting away together at your farmhouse table, me working on a project & you working with the Inlays. Then I can just imagine myself seeing you crumble up those inlays and walking towards the trash can.I could see me jumping up and running towards you and trying to save/retrieve/intercepting the inlays from going into the trash and saying Nooooooo, in slow motion like one of those Paper Towel commercials.! Rofl.. Then having a heart attack of course! Lol. I loved that box! It turned out gorgeous! You done a good job for it being your first time! Have a blessed weekend girlfriend!
😂😂😂 I would love to have a craft buddy at my table besides the furbabies 🐾
Love them all. My favorite was Bible cover. Tfs❤️
Mine too! 💗
Absolutely gorgeous Could do more shabby chic please
Thank you 💗
New subscriber. Love thrifting and enjoyed watching you create! Such a sweet bible cover! And love the box process es too. So glad the paint worked out!!! Beautiful lampshades too. Great video! 🌸🏷🎨
Thank you so much! I’m so happy to have you here 💗
I loved the Bible cover idea and that box turned out so cute, to be so simple a project. That transfer on the lampshade was gorgeous and I think you could have done the other one with just the “hankie” like you did, and omitted the lace below it and it would have been gorgeous. I didn’t like the wrinkles. And that inlay you did on that box…. What a transformation! I have not ordered any IOD inlays yet but I am going to look for the one you used….. very pretty! Just want you to know I always look forward to your video’s. You are so creative. God bless!🥰
Thank you so much Carlene 💗
I love every single creation. I’m a shabby chic girl too.
There are a lot of variations of shabby chic, just like every decor genre. I don’t know what mine is… cottage country shabby chic…
Thanks! 💗
Love then all!
Thank you! 💗
Adore the Bible cover!!
Thank you Suzy 💗
Excellent
Thanks Christie 💗
Thanks for the shabby chic theme! I prefer the simply shabby chic. Quite often I find Rachel Ashwell items at the thrift store, and I'm always happy when I do. Love the pastel colors and florals. All the projects are great. Thanks for explaining the paint inlays, wasn't sure how they worked.☺️
Me too!! Thanks for watching Carol 💗
I like how you incorporate bible verses and such in your projects. I really like how the lamp shade turned out. I have been collecting old handkerchiefs for the last year. Some of them are old but so pretty. I have a small lamp that I wanted to do something with because the shade is old. I am going to use the handkerchiefs on it. I like the bible cover. Different but unique. I’ve been looking at Bible covers and they are so expensive. The next time an old blanket comes in at the thrift store I work at I will be making myself a cover for bible. ❤
Hi Martha! Lots of projects and I bet they all turn out cute 💗
Love love love each piece, they are beautiful! You did a super great job on them. TSMFS! Take care!!
Thank you so much! 💗
Great job with the IOD paint inlay.
Thanks! It was off to a rocky start but I think I fixed it 😂
Loved the quilted bible cover idea from a sham and will definitely be making one for myself!❤.
Yay, thank you!💗
OMG i used to keep my love letters in those hat boxes in middle school !! 😂😂😂
💗💗💗
I love Rachel Ashwell designs. I think I have all her books. I miss her tv show
I didn’t know there was a show! I wouldn’t loved that! 💗
Awesome love them TFS New Subscriber. 💕
Hi Carmen! Thank you so much 💗
💜💜💜
Thanks 😊
L💞VE!
Thank you 💗
Your projects are so Cute, I made a beautiful bible cover in the 80s, I'd send you a picture to share but don't know how to send it, so frustrating
Thanks Renee! A way for us to get photos in our comments would be cool. 😊
An idea for you, rather than cut the fabric at the ends of your bible, cut out the batting and then fold the fabric back and tuck it in for a more finished look. You can do this at the beginning or at the end.
Thanks for the idea 💗
I love the Bible cover I am going to make two our original bible passed in my family is from 1789 my personal family bible is from 1977 when we first got married thank you so much love all the others to
Wow!! That’s so sweet 💗
Como puedes trabajar con esas mangas de lana no entiendo! Es terrible
Are you talking about my shirt? 😂 What an odd thing to pick on in a crafting video.
What a rude comment. In America, especially in the south, our mommas teach us, if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything.
If the sleeves were so distracting, just don’t watch, and move on sweetie. ❤️
Have a blessed day. ❤️
