I hate those staged piano videos, but I love Vincent Vinel. I'm french and I remember being shocked in front of my tv when his blind audition was aired at the voice
Wow, what a show! This is one of the best examples where 3 great musicians inspire each other so much that you get a result of 360 %. Worldclass!!! All the best from Germany
Okay, first of all, 95% sure it's all set up beforehand specifically for the video. Second, the guy isn't even very good. His pronunciation is quite bad, he messes up the lyrics, runs out of breath at the wrong time... 2 of the 3 things I mentioned (pronunciation and lyrics) would be forgivable if he was singing a ballad or something, a lot of it is hitting the notes and expressing emotion. Just look at Dimash Kudaibergen, the guy can't sing in English to save his life, but he's still a world-class singer because everything else he does is otherworldly. Rap is different. Outside the music part of the song, it's ALL about lyrics, and precise rhythmic delivery, and sometimes even specific alternate pronunciations of words to make them rhyme when they wouldn't if pronounced correctly. A rapper messing up these things is like a singer singing a 1/8 G note when it was supposed to be a 1/4 F. I'm not a native English speaker, I'm not discriminating against non-native English speakers. If the comment by RayReptile is accurate as well, this whole thing is twice as bad as it would have been if he was truly just a random person off the street. Don't get me wrong, I'm not expecting Eminem-level rapping, but come on, at least get the basics right or just... you know... don't rap in English. I know it's hard to wrap your tongue around these syllables that you haven't been vocalizing your entire life, but when it comes to rapping... it's mandatory. So, either don't do it or get it at least 98% right.
You’re probably right about the set up but come on dude he was good and impressive he missed out on a few words and the guy with piano missed out on one press. 60% of this is probably right what you said but you gotta admit It was good
That's Vincent Vine from The Voice. He did the exact same song back in 2017.
You should put his RUclips video in the comments from The Voice.
I think I actually like this version of him singing here better, than it was on the Voice
