This podcast has to happen. Some of Conan's best bits on the podcast are his history rants. Like when he improvised "What if Nixon starred in The Herbie Movies" or how he would eat president Taft on a desert island.
This is the first time seeing Matt after listening to the podcast for 2 years and I'm surprised. I didn't know what to expect but I didn't expect that awesome salt and pepper bearded man.
While I don't know what a history podcast would look like, I sure live by Conan's recommendations for history books or podcasts! More of those would compensate the need for a history podcast :)
Half the time those little segments at the beginning and end of each episode are better then the interview itself. The three of them have great chemistry.
@@JJ_SDWR Half the time? You mean most of the time; I'm guilty of almost always skipping over the interview. I just listen to the three of them. The "Chill Chums" episodes were glorious
We need more video of the podcast like this. Please start releasing ALL the video so we can enjoy. #ReleaseTheConanCut I don’t just want to hear but rather I want to see and feel that BDE. Also... You totally need to do the history podcast, just begin every episode with a topic and begin informing us of said topic to then have Matt and Sona interject with questions derailing the podcast and Conan with his “Yes And” improv mentality will slowly break from facts and we get a Conan alternate history take. Would be amazing, could call it “Historically Accurate? w/ Conan & The Chill Chums”
"Fall of civilisations" podcast is really good too. Goes into societies like Inca, Vikings, han dynasty, Rapanui (easter islanders), byzantines (constantinople), and others! Very amazing and detailed with images and video.
It's kind of sweet that in envisioning this hypothetical history podcast Conan automatically assumes Sona and Gourley would be on it with him. Theoretically this imaginary podcast could be with any history scholars out there but it felt like it didn't even occur to Conan he would do it with anybody but his gang.
I love this! 😍 just a dash of history and a whole lotta Conan craziness aka genius! Lol you all will be a great team to do this history-ish podcast! Sona will ask all these ?s us regular peeps would be thinking about! Let’s go! And Matt will hold it down for the team! I’m excited! haha
Hardcore History is fantastic for sure. Dan Carlin also has his Addendum side series where he does shorter episodes and interviews. The interviews with the historians are good but he also interviews celebrities sometimes and some of those episodes are really awful, entirely due to the guest. If Conan did an Addendum episode it would guaranteed not be the worst one.
My thought exactly! I always thought he was a 28-year-old hipster. But he’s much older, has a gray beard and carries the weight of the Russian revolution in his eyes.
I have a mail 🎁 for Conan (that I want to send to LA) but I just can’t figure out with address to send because they are not long recording at WB studios anymore and I don’t know if I should send to the Lago (Theater), can someone help me? I already send DMs to Sonia and TeamCoco on Instagram and also send a bunch of email to the program but NOBODY answered it really sucks 😭 I’m just a fan.
It's December 2022. This episode kind of typifies the genesis of podcast in several ways, I think. (Sort of watching a documentary about how our solar system formed from a disk of swirling matter 4.2 billion years ago...)
Conan, Shane Gillis, and Louis CK are the biggest American history nerd comedians I know of - they should get together for a history podcast. It would be hilarious
I don't really like podcasts, because I usually don't have the time to listen to like 1+/2+ hours in one sitting and I don't like to only listen to parts, but CNAF always got a slot, no matter how busy I am
"we didn't fly we wanted to be safe" I spent like 30 seconds wondering why Conan and his children were so afraid of air travel until I realised this was from COVID times
Probably Conan mean matreshkas and not babushkas, babushka is grandmother. Also, Conan teaching Sona about Russian revolution, although Sona is from post Soviet country
The horses do indeed keep records, I have confirmed this! Catherine, not so much, but they did mention Micheal Jackson though I'm not particularly sure in what capacity.
release the footage of all the podcasts
give the people what they want Coney!
the visual videos
"or be murdered.."
Yes, with better quality
I would love love love a "Bullshit History" podcast. Just Conan doing surreal comedy riffs on historical events.
Or legit until he runs out of info, then just go insane
I miss real history being taught. How we got Trump.
Agreed. Some people learned stuff here. Long cut riffing
louis ck got together with shane gillis and they only talked about history
This podcast has to happen. Some of Conan's best bits on the podcast are his history rants. Like when he improvised "What if Nixon starred in The Herbie Movies" or how he would eat president Taft on a desert island.
OT, but my favourite ever moment was his bit on Jerry Seinfeld with Alzheimer's.
The Dana carvey underground bunker with Hitler and the Kennedys was the best
This is the first time seeing Matt after listening to the podcast for 2 years and I'm surprised. I didn't know what to expect but I didn't expect that awesome salt and pepper bearded man.
I literally wrote a comment saying the exact same thing! 😂
The ol tripod 😂😂 His improv will always amaze me
that's a pretty common joke to be fair
I chuckled so hard lmfao
Conan's instant chaotic humor is something else
I’ll listen to any podcast with Conan in it.
Turns out Sona does know quite a bit about history.
I'd say she knows a “large chunk” of it
@@juancpgo well, at least the parts that stand out.
would love to hear her expertise on The Battle of the Bulge
Penis.
@@vaahtobileet mightier than sword?
I love how much Sona enjoys Conan’s humor hahaha
While I don't know what a history podcast would look like, I sure live by Conan's recommendations for history books or podcasts! More of those would compensate the need for a history podcast :)
I love how the bust behind conan is wearing a mask..nice touch
Can we just get the video for all of the pre and post interview content? Don't need the interviews.
Half the time those little segments at the beginning and end of each episode are better then the interview itself. The three of them have great chemistry.

@@sn1tchseek3r45 chill chums was the highlight of quarantine
them calling the matryoshka dolls “the babushka dolls” the whole time just made it all 10 times funnier 😭❤️
Mike Duncan also has an all-time classic podcast called History of Rome. Highly recommend!
We need more video of the podcast like this.

You’ve always been with me in the good and bad times thank you for being my support Conan..
Mike Duncan is the man. Revolutions is fantastic
"Fall of civilisations" podcast is really good too. Goes into societies like Inca, Vikings, han dynasty, Rapanui (easter islanders), byzantines (constantinople), and others! Very amazing and detailed with images and video.
If Conan starts this history podcast he sure really needs to have Jordan doing several tasks in there
So hilarious! Tears roll out of my eyes! These three are comedic magic! ♥️
Funny and informative! My history gets better every Monday at work! Thanks guys!
OMG I listen to Revolutions podcast! The season on the Haitian Revolution and Russian Revolution are incredible
Why the hell isn’t there a history podcasts by Conan???
Conan's hair look even weirder with the headphones
10/10 would listen to any kind of podcast these three in. Just them messing around with each other is great.
Omg yes!! This was hilarious, you have to do history podcast guys! And release the videos 🙏
Please make this podcast happen.
I've listened to this podcast every week since it started. I've never seen what Matt looks like until now.

Conan would honestly be an awesome history teacher! nothing would get done 😂 but he would definitely make his students love history
"SEND HER TO ME!" 😂😂😂
I feel like there was a “Neigh!” joke that was missed. Otherwise, Conan’s old timey impressions kill me every time. 😂

More videos from podcast!!! we need more conan and the chill chums in our lives!!!
Damn boney M song in my head now. Tanks fer nootin'!
Pleeeeeease do a history podcast! I know nothing about history and would love to learn, learning is always easier when it's mixed with comedy!
7:41 - Missed a great opportunity to say, "I've read many a horse diary from the period, and they all say, 'Nay.'" 😉
If it’s not scripted.... “Bring in Jordan”. ...he knows it all 🙃
Conan, if you ever need an audience member for anything I’m here. During this time, your podcasts/ Sona/ Gorley has been my pandemic comedic inhaler.
ok wait. make this podcast happen
The old tripod 🤣🤣
Gourley doesnt look like he sounds
My thought exactly! I always thought he was a 28-year-old hipster. But he’s much older, has a gray beard and carries the weight of the Russian revolution in his eyes.
Yes!! I thought he was so much younger... But still very nice to look at. Love the baseball cap.
I was expecting more hipster
This would be the best history podcast in the history of podcasts.
"I'm a consumer of history

I want Jordan schlansky in this Quiz
plz put Aubrey Plaza on the podcast
I've been waiting for it for two years🥺
Is this how the BDH series started? Insane! This is awesome!
Horses keep very good records lmao 😂
@conan thanks for the history podcast references!
What episode is this from?
Woah. I didn't imagine Matt Gorley looking like that. Thought he was younger
i also thought he has a very young sounding voice
It's December 2022. This episode kind of typifies the genesis of podcast in several ways, I think. (Sort of watching a documentary about how our solar system formed from a disk of swirling matter 4.2 billion years ago...)
Absolute gold
Babush'ka is grandmother, lol! Babush'ka is scarf.

All the babushka dolls 😂
Already listened to this at the end of the recent podcast
Been listening to Dan Carlin for years!! Highly recommend!
I started listening to Revolutions because of this endorsement. Amazing podcast.
...and thus “Bullshit History” was born. I know they joked about it, but I would listen to that.
Suggestion to CONAN channel - It would be helpful if it would say which episode this is from in the description of this video
Oh Matt is bringing the beard back 😂
If Rasputin was a large as claimed, he probably had more than the ear of the Czarina.
Lol I’m from Sioux Falls. Thanks for the shoutout
This's so funny!😆

I’m hearing more than from that podcast, was it edited out?
"we didn't fly we wanted to be safe" I spent like 30 seconds wondering why Conan and his children were so afraid of air travel until I realised this was from COVID times

Boa tarde, um belo bete papo, maravilhoso. Adorei o vídeo.
Horses keeping historic records would progress a lot of what we know about history actually.
Did not expect gourley to look like that!
Gourlz is bae
Conan Without Borders should be a segment on new HBO show
Nothing like historic BDE.
And now they turned the idea into a Conan travel show.
Greenlight the podcast to talk about obscenities in history x D
Dan Carlins Hardcore History is one of my favorite things ever to listen to. So stoked to know Conan has heard his stuff too :D
Check out Mike Duncan's 76 hour long History of Rome podcast.
Conan explains World history to Sona
And Live Online Reserch in Credibility of history
Conan should look at some youtube history stuff, they are great to watch as well
There's part 2 on this in mike birbiglia's episode

Omg this is what Matt looks like? Why did I always imagine him as a meek mild mannered man?
AH MAGOOOOOSH
Matt is trying too hard not wearing his usual tweed attire. You can't fool us Matt.
They are withholding videos from us?
Release them or we riot!
Does anyone remember in which podcast they first talk about gourley playing a trash can?
The horses do indeed keep records, I have confirmed this! Catherine, not so much, but they did mention Micheal Jackson though I'm not particularly sure in what capacity.
At least Teddy Roosevelt is following Covid requirements.
Sona HANDS down, had the best comment about the horses. She knew exactly what she was talking about.
