Even now I think Halo 3 holds up, not only by game play but visually as well. It still looks good to this day, is it Halo 5 or MGSV no but still it looks good.

The ships are less detailed in the trailer and there are less of them. Final game is far more impressive. Get your eyes checked.
Well, it would have been fine if they’d actually continued with the narrative they originally planned. Halo 4 had a really great story that actually developed John as a character. For the first time, outside of the books, the Chief actually felt like a character. It was great really. Had they explored Chief’s psychology post-Cortana and have him trying to adjust or bring her back, then that would been brilliant

The Master Chief's character wasn't designed to make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Master Chief plays the role of a super hero, not your boyfriend. It seems like you're more interested in The Notebook-type of stories. Make sure you avoid Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo Wars, Halo Reach and any Halo novels with a Bungie logo on the backside; you will not like those games or books one bit. Halo 4 and Halo 5 are definitely your forte.

Hopefully, 343i learned their mistakes with H3A.
I don't agree with you. A lot of the models and geometry here look noticeably unpolished and low-poly. Really the only exception to that is master chief's armour.

Marty certainly got it right with the music in this one. Having a redone Truth and Reconciliation Suite play when the Forward Unto Dawn landed on the Ark was just amazing. It's a shame Halo won't be drawing from his talent again. (even if Reach's soundtrack did seem a bit bland)
I meant that... they hired the people they chose who they knew would do a great job. All that is your opinion, keep it to yourself. Any true Halo fan would stick through Halo and look to its true beauty rather than nitpick. I for one love Halo 4, and 343i. They care about halo, just like every fan. They are fans too and they want to help evolve Halo to something fresh and knew. You can be a caveman and be left behind, but im following Halo.
Oh, for sure the game wasn't perfect. I think it was a solid game throughout, but it never reached the highs of previous instalments -though as you mentioned the Campaign did have shining moments. I don't think they quite nailed the sense of mystery and exploration that Halo CE did, but they did excel at MC and Cortana's story. I have never felt so invested. As a developer who was tackling their first game - a game belonging to such a renowned franchise, no less - I think they did a great job.
Also, that scene looked nothing like that in the actual game. They said the original trailer was in engine (it was) but it looked nothing like it when it finally came out.

Personally the "finishing the fight" was the best cliff-hanger possible, it really did make for the perfect anticipation for halo 3.

The company, yes; the employees, no. Destiny had some employees who were simultaneously working on Halo titles but still had its own dedicated teams.
