When The Chief said that with this music behind it, You know, while you've got this slow and peaceful piece of music playing as you scan the environment and The Ark in the sky, you still had to march on with pace, knowing this is your only opportunity to end it all. It's so chilling yet beautiful.
Halo 3 had a great OST and gameplay
Indeed it was a very fitting end for the trilogy, marking the end of an incredible journey.

@@arkhamknight5516 personally I thought infinites campaign wasn't much better than 4 or 5 and light years behind the bungie games. Wish halo 3 was the ending, it was so perfect and now everything else seems to taint it, idk.

that part killed me. Halo 3 was by far the best video I've ever played & I spent my whole summer playing it & I do not regret not one second of it.
Halo shouldve ended with 3. The war with the Covenant was over, the Flood was neutralized, Humanity had a peace treaty with the Sangheli and the age of Spartans was over. I wouldnt have minded spinoffs of Arbiter crushing the Sangheli rebellion or that prequal of the forerunners we never got or even other side stories like ODST and Reach but there was no reason to continue after 3.
tbh i honestly think there could have been a really cool story to tell after 3, with a larger emphasis on the forerunners and precursors, maybe leaning into a more Lovecraftian feel for the beings themselves to add more horror elements, just that 343 wasted that potential by making the didact a space Voldemort lookin ass, and an all around disappointing story.
Why Halo 4 sucks:
-Music: No Marty O'Donnell
-Story: let's just break down that mysterious vibe that was Halos trademark. Explain everything. Boner kill.
Badguys- Lobsterman and his mechanical pooches
Masterchief: where's the smartass?
Cortana- hot bitch that like his smart ass? No annoying crybaby. Thought they made her a robot so we don't have to listen to that carp and we can just stare at her ads
Weapons- more power in an eggbeater
Allies- Johnson or Jimmy Fallon: Goddammit 343

@GamerHD9989 Cool that you like it ;) First time i played the last level in Halo 3 and i heard of that, i just thought WOW. Especially the second part makes you feel like there is something beyond. It's nice to watch the clouds passing by on a sunny day with that. Sometimes i imagine to stand on the top of the world known as the Mount Everest and this music steps in and then enjoying the 360° view.
I love this music. Rainy mood goes with this quite well

The multiplayer is broken, the weapons and vehicles are fine. The insta-spawn is the only thing that annoys the shit out of me.
The campaign and artwork and music is amazing.

This song reveals the majesty of halo, the grace of it's presence as it lingers through the empty void. Serving as a beating reminder of the horrors now past. A prayer which stretches through time, a hymn of guardianship to the reclaimer.

From 2:00 on it's the music that plays when standing in front of the control room architecture. By moving further from that point, the flood music steps in.
Sometimes I like to think that the franchise ended at Halo 3, and 4 & 5 aren't canon.

my biggest complaint about halo 4 is that there are times when the multiplayer ALMOST feels like CoD.
If the end of the world sounded like this, I wouldn't mind at all.

I love that part at 2:00, reminds me of when the flood dropped in on pods and gravemind let out a menacing and chilling war cry, I always got those goosebumps on my spine at that part and I knew the battle was commencing. Probably the best encounter in halo 3 imo.

This is Halo, this is why Halo 4, albeit being a great game for a first game studio, was ultimately not "Halo" enough, Microsoft shower bungie and marty in money, and get marty and michael back for Halo 5, please for god this is so epic.

Literally all of Halo 2 and 3 besides the themes, and even then that's pushing it, was Halo CE music. Halo 2's theme was a rock version, while 3 was orchestral and piano. That's why it's pushing it.
At least Halo 4 did something unique for once in a Halo game. Battlefield may have the same theme, but at least they don't have the same music everywhere else. Call of Duty also has different music.
Are the only games that don't have different music the only games that are actually good? Then explain some parts of Mass Effect and Destiny.
+Drago Firethroat The Halo theme was and is the baseline for future songs derived from it as it incorporated airy choral and string arrangements with the occasional guitars unique to the game itself as opposed to just these weird, all-over-the-place guitar riffs and staccato vocals. The former was what made Marty McDonnell, Halo’s original composer, a musical genius.
Ah, if only ME3 ended as well as halo 3 did.

Holy God I've been looking for a longer version of the 2:00 onward part for several years. I was even trying to make it myself, by cutting it, and reversing itself end on end. But that didn't work so well. Could we get a link to download? Or could you send this to my email?
You may not believe this, but that were my exact same thoughts^^ Thats why i started to rip the music directly from the game. Because editing of the given OST wasn't satisfying in terms of quality to get this track. The reason why im not creating a download link, is due terms of Copyright infringement that may result in a deletion of this channel. There are several methods to get this song with special software like RUclips to MP3-Converter.

Bungie didn't abandon Halo, Microsoft screwed them over, and gave it (the rights to Halo) to their own game studios.
(facepalm) im just gonna hafta quite halo comments because everytime I read something like this it really puts me out of the mood.
it feels like a group of being from another is looking for the protagonist in a facility where he/she is in frozen stasis on a dead planet. and is revived with new abilities to the users choice. sorry if not halo related. I was just thinking I'm trying to make my own game but figured I take it to comics first just waiting on my friend to make my drawings look better. though he's starting his own comic strip. i'm fine with it as long as he doesn't forget my drawings.
