I was gripped in the clutches of lust. My life was “fine”, except dissatisfaction in all things, including intimacy with my wife. We actually had both watched porn consistently and it seemingly put a wedge between us, fueling us to desire more and more until the other could not quench it. I always new Christ would frown on the watching of porn, and understood lust as a terrible sin. But I never understood why until I had my own realization that I love my wife so much and hated this dissatisfaction coming between us. So we stopped. And it was okay for a while until the depression set in. We find strength in each other and in Christ and it gets us trough it. Our intimacy is now wonderful and it has been well over a year clean from that sin. That being said, since I’ve stopped, I’ve felt a haunting presence at times. And the darkest dreams. Recently, I was attacked and violated by an unseen entity that whispered such profanity in my ear. I felt all of its anger and hatred for me. But I prayed to Christ, and in the snap of a finger, I sprung out of bed. I was in physical pain, however. But felt so free. The pain vanished and I have thanked Christ every time I reflect on that moment. I could cry I am so grateful for His Love and Rescue. My life is for Him, and I will teach my two daughters of my mistakes and my own Revelation in the Love of Christ.
I too was in the clutches of lust for so long. But something happened in my life not too long ago. My mother gave me a rosary and for the first time in my life I prayed it about two weeks ago. I prayed the first day and it felt so good. Then I did it the next day. And the next day. As if by magic my urges towards lust kept diminishing. And then today I went to confession for the first time in 15 or so years, and I spilled everything. When the father gave me absolution, I cried. I don’t ever want to lose this state of grace ever again. I feel reborn. Lust provoking images fill me with a sense of revulsion now. I hope this helps and honestly if you haven’t already I would schedule a confession ASAP. God bless you for admitting this to a group of internet strangers but we are brothers and sisters in our lord and I pray for you.
My Protestant upbringing taught that merely lusting after a woman is sin, masturbation is always lust, so that's sin, etc. The Matt. 5 verse never made sense to me, because having a strong desire for someone ( i.e. lust ) is very normal, very human, how is that always a sin? So much wasted angst, shame, guilt over "lust". IMHO, it's yet another wile of the Enemy to get us to obsess over something that most often is not a sin. ( Almost always when I venture into a Christian/Catholic forum/page on this topic, the reaction is usually judgmental or hostile against me. Not exactly Christ-like. To that I would say that those who are filled with such fear and/or arrogance and pride, they have a LOT to deal with in their Flesh without pointing fingers at someone who is discussing sexuality. ) These kinds of conversations lack nuance, complexity, discussion of various interpretations. Not everyone has some spirit trying to mount them during sleep, has nightmares, rather, they have boundaries around enjoyment and usage and keep their entertainment in perspective. Another thing: Some individuals have very high sex drives while others' libidos are low or non-existent. So? To each their own. We humans, everyone of us, are TERRIBLE at how we judge each other. Hypocrites. Inconsistent. Not discerning whether we truly have planks in our own eyes, not admitting to biases rooted in family-upbriging and traditions that might not be completely accurate and for all we know ethical across the board. One can eat meat sacrificed to idols while another would be thrown off course and stumbling in their Walk. This reality alone continues to blow my mind as a Believer. The ethical variety within the Church is partly what is healthy about our Community at large. My sincere and loving wishes to any and all who view Erotica/Porn as "sinful" and must steer clear of such things. Since you have had problems with it, then more power to you in your relationship with God and others. Repent will all your heart and confess Jesus as your Lord and believe that he died for your sins and was resurrected on the third day and you will have eternal life. Or did Jesus not give his apostles authority to cast demons out in his name? Did he also not give the apostles authority to forgive sins when he breathed the Holy Spirit on them? (John 20: 21-23). Point being, if you believe that merely confessing your sins to the lord were enough, you are missing the key component in forgiveness, which is absolution. You do not have authority to absolve yourself of sin, and you need to cede that authority to an ordained priest lest you fall into the sin of pride. Don’t let it be misunderstood, the Lord is an endless font of mercy, but that mercy must be accessed through proper channels. One more thing, why this aversion to the rosary? Every single exorcist’s account states that the holy rosary is like a whip across satan’s face. It’s a meditation on Christ’s birth, ministry, passion, and resurrection. Why would you not avail yourself of every possible weapon against an enemy that wants to claim your soul for eternity? God bless you brother.

Pray often, trust in the Name of Jesus, hold on to Him and never lose sight of His gaze, believe that His love, mercy, and grace will always overpower your weaknesses, hardships, and darkness. While I was in high school, Father Vincent became the priest in the parish I went to. I've always been intrigued by this subject, so I jumped at the opportunity to hear him speak for an evening about his exorcist training, Biblical references to demonology, and the on-the-ground work. I don't think believe is the appropriate term. Jesus knows he exists, he saw the evil one kicked out of Heaven to earth like lightning, rebuked the evil one when tempted in the desert etc.
I used to participate in the jokes my peers still love today: Jokes that make the devil/hell seem a better option or the victim of God and true supporter of us. And I know too many people, even those who insist they’re completely atheist, who treat those jokes like truth. Now sometimes I can chuckle at some devil/hell themed jokes, but more often I find myself concerned about the young people consuming that type of content and attitude and adopting it

God open more doors to me the moment I stop listen to everyone, and start praying for answers consistently with faith, recite the rosary, confession, mass, Charity, eucharist, read the Bible and repent. It's funny, the Harry Potter series plays a lot on the themes of sacrifice and love, but the background of the tale definitely raises some brows. I read them as a child, but I also knew it was fiction, and read many, many other books. My path was winding, but it seems the only thing that captures my interest now is understanding God as much as possible. I struggle to engage with the things I used to take interest in. Reading, finding quiet space with myself and connecting to source is the only thing that fills the need to move away from shallow things and into a deep connection with the world around me instead

I think that the pandemic restrictions have been disastrous for people. I have a friend who was a weekly Mass-goer. Since the pandemic restrictions were introduced, she has attended Mass only a handful of times. She has stopped altogether now.
I love what the Father is saying. God can punish us however it is a loving punishment. Like when I was spanked as a child. It is NOT to hurt us, but to push us in the right direction. Very intriguing this comment on Yoga. And I agree. I had the good luck of an old yoga book (not postures but the philosophy) and the spill over with Catholicism was well written and did indeed give alot of warning.
A friend of mine talked me out of doing yoga a few years ago. It took her a while to convince me but she explained things well and I ended up feeling like it wasn't worth the risk to continue with it. I've read and heard a lot more about it since, and I'm really grateful she took the time and patience to talk me out of it. Matt Fradd had a great interview a while back with a guy who had been very into it and explained what it all really means.

In Latin, I find that the feeling in my heart intensifies. I feel a special closeness to the Lord, that I don’t feel when doing it in Spanish or English. It’s like in Latin, it takes to another level. I feel as if I’m speaking in angel language.

I think alcohol puts a fish-hook hole in our aura to allow dark spirits in. I've had telepathy, guessed strangers full names, and did extraordinary acts while drunk but felt totally controlled throughout.

If this ilk of thing exists, it would be a type of intuition to sense a type of subtle energy that is not, at least yet, scientifically observable, and substances simply remove inhibitions and blocks on that people learn throughout childhood. Young children can have the same sort of sensitivity as drunk adults. They alcohol is not the cause.
I use spiritual warfare daily. I pray for people I walk by or see. I always pray out loud sometimes under my breath. It's strange usually with younger people between 12 and 18 I will always pray first that God binds any strong hold, addiction, pride ,fear and anything that is not of God to bind the spirits and cast them out in the name of Jesus. Then I pray for blessings of love peace and joy upon there lives and last of all I pray they accept Jesus as Lord and saviour and repent of there sins and be saved in the name of Jesus. I do this often daily. I don't care who Muslims blacks whites old people young people and especially families with children. Some people I pray for suddenly I will get confused and it's hard for me to think of what to pray for I will get dizzy and tired. Then I know something is up with the person and I have to go and worship and plead the blood of Jesus and pray for the Holy Spirit. It's very strange how powerful prayer is.
This priest is wonderful to listen to; calm and wise throughout...I'd love to ask his thoughts on some Deliverance ministers in the US like Katherine Krick or Daniel Adams who cast out demons non stop? Both have claimed to numerously cast out "Satan" but I'm perplexed as Satan is not omnipresent? God's Grace be with you all in Christ's name.
The best thing is to listen to God's word in the bible and stay away from trouble. I have seen demon possessed people screaming at the church during worship. I saw a guy crawling on the floor exactly like a serpent and approaching the pastor leading the worship in the pulpit. He was delivered from the demon possessed but the pastor said there's more to do that need to be dealt after the church gathering.

Essential oils are controversial?? They have clinically proven therapeutic benefits...Frankincense, myrrh (mentioned in the bible etc) are very beneficial and come from nature. If I'm using them strictly for their therapeutic properties and nothing else what is wrong with that?

I remember the exorcism I did…. That night I witnessed 2 exorcisms one of the same person, a man named Michael. His father lived the Word and completed the exorcism on his son. That night Andrea asked me to talk to her when when we got back to the house. I was gripped in the clutches of lust. My life was “fine”, except dissatisfaction in all things, including intimacy with my wife. We actually had both watched porn consistently and it seemingly put a wedge between us, fueling us to desire more and more until the other could not quench it. I always new Christ would frown on the watching of porn, and understood lust as a terrible sin. But I never understood why until I had my own realization that I love my wife so much and hated this dissatisfaction coming between us. So we stopped. And it was okay for a while until the depression set in. We find strength in each other and in Christ and it gets us trough it. Our intimacy is now wonderful and it has been well over a year clean from that sin.
That being said, since I’ve stopped, I’ve felt a haunting presence at times. And the darkest dreams. Recently, I was attacked and violated by an unseen entity that whispered such profanity in my ear. I felt all of its anger and hatred for me.
But I prayed to Christ, and in the snap of a finger, I sprung out of bed. I was in physical pain, however. But felt so free. The pain vanished and I have thanked Christ every time I reflect on that moment. I could cry I am so grateful for His Love and Rescue. My life is for Him, and I will teach my two daughters of my mistakes and my own Revelation in the Love of Christ.

I too was in the clutches of lust for so long. But something happened in my life not too long ago. My mother gave me a rosary and for the first time in my life I prayed it about two weeks ago. I prayed the first day and it felt so good. Then I did it the next day. And the next day. As if by magic my urges towards lust kept diminishing. And then today I went to confession for the first time in 15 or so years, and I spilled everything. When the father gave me absolution, I cried. I don’t ever want to lose this state of grace ever again. I feel reborn. Lust provoking images fill me with a sense of revulsion now. I hope this helps and honestly if you haven’t already I would schedule a confession ASAP. God bless you for admitting this to a group of internet strangers but we are brothers and sisters in our lord and I pray for you.
My Protestant upbringing taught that merely lusting after a woman is sin, masturbation is always lust, so that's sin, etc. The Matt. 5 verse never made sense to me, because having a strong desire for someone ( i.e. lust ) is very normal, very human, how is that always a sin? So much wasted angst, shame, guilt over "lust". IMHO, it's yet another wile of the Enemy to get us to obsess over something that most often is not a sin. ( Almost always when I venture into a Christian/Catholic forum/page on this topic, the reaction is usually judgmental or hostile against me. Not exactly Christ-like. To that I would say that those who are filled with such fear and/or arrogance and pride, they have a LOT to deal with in their Flesh without pointing fingers at someone who is discussing sexuality. )
These kinds of conversations lack nuance, complexity, discussion of various interpretations. Again, IMHO, Matt 5 is dealing with coveting, actually, the very nature of plotting to steal another woman, which in context is another man's wife. Not merely lusting after another woman. ( Bad translations and subsequent bad teachings. )
To those who have had an inordinate problem with erotica/porn, with all due respect, not everyone is like you. Not everyone has some spirit trying to mount them during sleep, has nightmares, rather, they have boundaries around enjoyment and usage and keep their entertainment in perspective. Another thing: Some individuals have very high sex drives while others' libidos are low or non-existent. So? To each their own.
We humans, everyone of us, are TERRIBLE at how we judge each other. Hypocrites. Inconsistent. Not discerning whether we truly have planks in our own eyes, not admitting to biases rooted in family-upbriging and traditions that might not be completely accurate and for all we know ethical across the board. One can eat meat sacrificed to idols while another would be thrown off course and stumbling in their Walk. This reality alone continues to blow my mind as a Believer. The ethical variety within the Church is partly what is healthy about our Community at large.
My sincere and loving wishes to any and all who view Erotica/Porn as "sinful" and must steer clear of such things. Since you have had problems with it, then more power to you in your relationship with God and others. Repent will all your heart and confess Jesus as your Lord and believe that he died for your sins and was resurrected on the third day and you will have eternal life. Or did Jesus not give his apostles authority to cast demons out in his name? Did he also not give the apostles authority to forgive sins when he breathed the Holy Spirit on them? (John 20: 21-23). Point being, if you believe that merely confessing your sins to the lord were enough, you are missing the key component in forgiveness, which is absolution. You do not have authority to absolve yourself of sin, and you need to cede that authority to an ordained priest lest you fall into the sin of pride. Don’t let it be misunderstood, the Lord is an endless font of mercy, but that mercy must be accessed through proper channels.
One more thing, why this aversion to the rosary? Every single exorcist’s account states that the holy rosary is like a whip across satan’s face. It’s a meditation on Christ’s birth, ministry, passion, and resurrection. Why would you not avail yourself of every possible weapon against an enemy that wants to claim your soul for eternity? When I was married, my then in-laws were into dark stuff. The only thing I was aware of was the obvious and that was intense and often extreme envy and jealousy of me! I went to mass every Sunday morning, by myself, but I made time to get to mass every Sunday! It's funny, the Harry Potter series plays a lot on the themes of sacrifice and love, but the background of the tale definitely raises some brows. My path was winding, but it seems the only thing that captures my interest now is understanding God as much as possible. I struggle to engage with the things I used to take interest in. Reading, finding quiet space with myself and connecting to source is the only thing that fills the need to move away from shallow things and into a deep connection with the world around me instead

I agree with you on Harry Potter. It is novel, not Gospels. It teaches young how you have to fight for rightchesnes and truth non stop,sacrifice yourself for friends,how to make right choices.
I am devoted Orthodox Christian, I see much good in this movies if you look from this perspective. FR.probably very busy guy and didn't have time for watching all of it and analyze it.

From my reading on the matter, everyone is recommended to say the Prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel but only a priest can say it in the context of a formal exorcism.

I think that the pandemic restrictions have been disastrous for people. I have a friend who was a weekly Mass-goer. Since the pandemic restrictions were introduced, she has attended Mass only a handful of times. She has stopped altogether now.
I love what the Father is saying. God can punish us however it is a loving punishment. Like when I was spanked as a child. It is NOT to hurt us, but to push us in the right direction. God just as our parents wants us to learn the easy way, however sometimes we have to learn the hard way. But the objective is for all of to learn, before it is too late. God bless this video.

Very intriguing this comment on Yoga. And I agree. I had the good luck of an old yoga book (not postures but the philosophy) and the spill over with Catholicism was well written and did indeed give alot of warning.
A friend of mine talked me out of doing yoga a few years ago. It took her a while to convince me but she explained things well and I ended up feeling like it wasn't worth the risk to continue with it. I've read and heard a lot more about it since, and I'm really grateful she took the time and patience to talk me out of it. Matt Fradd had a great interview a while back with a guy who had been very into it and explained what it all really means.

When I pray the rosary in Latin, I can concentrate better on each word said and at the same time meditate on our Lord’s passion. In Latin, I find that the feeling in my heart intensifies. I feel a special closeness to the Lord, that I don’t feel when doing it in Spanish or English. It’s like in Latin, it takes to another level. I feel as if I’m speaking in angel language.

I watched that other video too and this vid answered my question on the topic of yoga. People need to be aware that it's a spiritual practice, not a stretching exercise.
I think alcohol puts a fish-hook hole in our aura to allow dark spirits in. I've had telepathy, guessed strangers full names, and did extraordinary acts while drunk but felt totally controlled throughout.

If this ilk of thing exists, it would be a type of intuition to sense a type of subtle energy that is not, at least yet, scientifically observable, and substances simply remove inhibitions and blocks on that people learn throughout childhood. Young children can have the same sort of sensitivity as drunk adults. They alcohol is not the cause.

I use spiritual warfare daily. I pray for people I walk by or see. I always pray out loud sometimes under my breath. It's strange usually with younger people between 12 and 18 I will always pray first that God binds any strong hold, addiction, pride ,fear and anything that is not of God to bind the spirits and cast them out in the name of Jesus. Then I pray for blessings of love peace and joy upon there lives and last of all I pray they accept Jesus as Lord and saviour and repent of there sins and be saved in the name of Jesus. I do this often daily. I don't care who Muslims blacks whites old people young people and especially families with children. Some people I pray for suddenly I will get confused and it's hard for me to think of what to pray for I will get dizzy and tired. Then I know something is up with the person and I have to go and worship and plead the blood of Jesus and pray for the Holy Spirit. It's very strange how powerful prayer is.
This priest is wonderful to listen to; calm and wise throughout...I'd love to ask his thoughts on some Deliverance ministers in the US like Katherine Krick or Daniel Adams who cast out demons non stop? Both have claimed to numerously cast out "Satan" but I'm perplexed as Satan is not omnipresent? God's Grace be with you all in Christ's name.
You cannot separate the physical practice from the religious practice in yoga.
As a work around, yeah do the drive in theater style of church services durring pandemic lockdowns.

The best thing is to listen to God's word in the bible and stay away from trouble. I have seen demon possessed people screaming at the church during worship. I saw a guy crawling on the floor exactly like a serpent and approaching the pastor leading the worship in the pulpit. He was delivered from the demon possessed but the pastor said there's more to do that need to be dealt after the church gathering.
Grace is our armor against the demonic.

Essential oils are controversial?? They have clinically proven therapeutic benefits...Frankincense, myrrh (mentioned in the bible etc) are very beneficial and come from nature. If I'm using them strictly for their therapeutic properties and nothing else what is wrong with that?
It has something to do with what's done with them at the time of manufacture. Johnette Williams, Women of Grace explains on her website.

Fr. Ripperger said there are cases where the manufacturers, like pharmaceutical companies put curses on their products. He said to say the prayer before meals for this.

I remember the exorcism I did…. That night I witnessed 2 exorcisms one of the same person, a man named Michael. His father lived the Word and completed the exorcism on his son. That night Andrea asked me to talk to her when when we got back to the house. When we got there we sat in the kitchen and talked about God and then her eyes grew big and she looked past my shoulder through the kitchen sliding glass door…. I asked her what was was wrong, she said, the lesser demon moved away from you because it knew what you could do, and it called a greater demon that moved passed you.
I was really confused and said why are you crying? She said that I need to leave…. She said it was right behind me watching me. She then asked me to leave so that It would leave too.
I walked home that night 2 miles.
